EPIC FAIL. Everyone knows the best way to make money is to sell a bunch of small costing items, the more the items cost the less chance someone's going to buy them.

Like just today, i was planning on buying the Nano-C. Then i get to the shop and realize, OMG it's 999 Gaia Cash, FOR A THIRD GENERATION ITEM! What's the point of that? That's all 10 of the dollars i spent, for one unevolved item!

I will totally ignore the Aquariam, Cash Shop, and any other paid feature of Gaia Online. The more they try to get cash from their users, the more i think about cutting all ties with them.

In short, i totally agree with this cause, and you can add me to your list of supporters.

I will get behind this. I sign this. I don't want Gaia on the slippery slope to being a pay site for virtual items and all this "GIVE US CASH FOR s**t" stuff is getting really old really fast.

I've never bought a single thing with gaia cash, but as you can see, I've got a thriving aquarium.

If you look in the marketplace you can find every single one of the fish for sale in the cash shop. And with the overseer granting pricy prizes, it's easy enough to get reimbursed for your gold investment. When I first started aquariums, I had 30, 000 gold. I got myself a bunch of cuttlefish and goldfish, and all the cheapest things for my tank... and now I've got 130, 000 gold.

Mmhhmmm... Because, Im sure you just sat there and looked at your aquarium all day. Nope, you didnt sell things on the mp, or trade with other players or play zomg. All you did was open the overseer? Teach me you secrets! I only get ~350g a day from the overseer. So in order to make 100k profit.. I would need to go to my tank 290 times!?! Not happening soon...

Hey, Percat, not everyone is rich when they start out. Like i only have around 3,000 gold now. And that's a high point. So to us poor people, it's kind of hard to buy the overpriced fish from the marketplace.

And Darlou, you can only get something from the overseer once a day, so that would mean 290 days of opening the overseer. And he gives random prizes, so some days may not give gold, meaning there is going to be more added on to that. All in all, it's totally not worth it.

I agree! But if users don't come online for at least a month gaia will lose money quickly, after all, there would be no one to buy things or do anything!But they will be desperate and keep the site for as long as they can, and they'll probably lower the prices on things to something fair. I know this isn't something to sneeze at but; SOME OF THE MORE POPULAR STARTER CLOTHES IN THE GAIA SHOPS CAN ACTUALLY BE FOUND IN THE MARKETPLACE FOR 1g WHEN IN THE STORE IT'S 5g. SEE THE BIG DIFFERENCE? STARTER CLOTHES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE UNDER 2g! IT'S WEIRD TO PROTEST ABOUT IT BUT TRUE! I'm putting these pictures on my profile. *signs*
