For everyone against having babies on Gaia cause some of the people on Gaia are to young to have kids.
Theres a casino on Gaia and children shouldn't be gambling, theres cigarettes and children shouldn't be smoking.
As shown in some of the banner the babies don't have to really be the child of your avatar. I have had many people post they have a younger sibling or their about to have a baby sibling and want this, some have children and want a baby on here as well, some(like myself) don't have kids in the real world, but want some here, some have rp carries that have children, young siblings, or young companions they want shown by their avatars. I also seen a few people say they want a mini me(them), some people want to be kids and can easily say the small avatar is them and the bigger/main avatar is their guardian, and some want a young minion. What role you give the baby is up to the person that adopts the baby, we won't force you to say, thats your child you adopted it and your stuck with it forever. This is a game and a roleplaying site and meant for people to have fun, not feel forced to do anything.
The babies being like a baby doll or the baby zurg already on Gaia, isn't encouraging underage pregnancy or cybering. If seeing a baby or baby doll in the real world doesn't make you want to have a child or have sex, then why shoud seeing one on a website be any different?.
For everyone who thinks babies on Gaia will cause (more) cybering.
Theres bikinis on Gaia that has the bottom of the females chest out, theres pants in the starter set that when wore without a shirt and backwards shows the avatars butt, and theres a "dancer set" for the males which is nothing but a stripper outfit.
(note i have nothing against the games or items on Gaia,or the ones people are petitioning for i'm just trying to make a point here)
Gaia stated in the new announcement that the gaia cash store will have things that can do more including this quote from the announcement.
• Create items that have magical properties and do crazy things (for example, items that evolve over time or potions that give your avatar a new skin).
In the new announcement about the evolving items there was a child avatar with the main avatar, Timmy. So if gaia made that avatar have a child friend, why can't ours?

How It Would Be Done
Note
You get the babies from a store, the avatar can not and does not become pregnant, anyone can get a baby Male, Female, Couple, or Single
The Avatars don't have the babies, they adopt them. Gaian babies can be sold at the MP, given as a gift, and sent in a trade.
(its just a item and should be the same as other items on gaia)
You do not have to always have baby with you (have baby equipped), (like every item on Gaia baby can be unequipped at any time and will be in your inventory.)

Price will be between 20k to 40k. the're shop items worth 15k so this isn't alot making it buy able for people who use the site and earn a good bit of gold and save gold, but not to easy to buy meaning it won't be over seen/used and with the different stuff you can get for baby and how different each baby can look seeing a "twin" or so of your baby would be rare.

Now go to customize avatar to display your baby in these forms depending on age.
1. Infants/Newborns (0 and 1)
Baby wrapped in blanket holds in arms.
2. Toddlers (2 and 3)
holding baby in arms (like the plushies), hold baby on hip, holding baby hand, sitting beside you.
3. Kids (4-7)
Stands or sits besides main avatar. (like NPC Timmy)

Because of the different ways to place the babies you can get more than one. you can have a form one or two to hold and a form three or four to stand or sit beside you. you can "adopt" as many kids as you want, but not all will be able to be on your avatar at once unless gaia makes it where you can choose to put one on your right and one on your left. For people who wants lots of kids or multiples.
Go back to Barton's Babies and select Bella to buy stuff for your baby or change babies hair style or color.
((Baby can only use baby item, they can't be equiped with the items for the main avatar.)

4. bibs, booties(socks and shoes), and mittens
5.toys (bears, bunnies, and trucks)

Special thing you can get from baby(should be cash shop items)
1. Superior form. (Used to get the superior forms for baby.)

5. Little devil. (To make baby demonic. should include, Devil wings, lil horns, and black gown. should have male and female option)
Cash shop items should cost around 200 cash. prize should be about right since skeleton worth 149 and only have one form)
And since Baby is now living with you its time to make room for baby with baby stuff for houses. (Should be from The Faktori)
