perhaps it's just me, who makes things more complicated than they should be...
So high school doesn't offer advanced placement/college level courses?
and would you have to know exactly what course in college you were going to take before college? or wait a year to decide, they enter college?

I'm jealous of my mom, who all she has to do to speak a language, is listen to it for about a year .__.;
what talent...
so far, I can speak only english and spanish, although, like you I know enough Lao and Thai to speak to my aunts, uncles and grandparents.
But languages I am dying to learn are French (considering taking a course next year), Japanese, Korean, Latin, perhaps Italian, as well as mandarin > u <

Nope, no advanced placement.
Ah, yes, we have to know before going to college. Some students would take a year off, but you'll be pulled back a year. It feels like being 19 in a class filled with 18 year old students.
I have to start College immediately starting in January. There's a March intake, but that requires me to cram a lot of assignments for starting late.

Haha, my school has German class, only for students which are interested in taking it. It clashes with my tuition class, plus, I didn't really want to pay up more and have more distractions this year.
