I don't keep lineart at the end, I just use it as a guide, so it doesn't have to be super-clean. (I actually can work just fine from a sketch.) Although I'm not wonderful at figuring out where shadows should fall, yet. Still working on that...

Color Scheme: Obviously, I love purple - in any shade. I, however, like almost anything except loads of brown and orange and yellow stuck together. Night-colors? Light blue, aqua blue, cerulean, royal blue, gray-blue, midnight blue: any blue that isn't true blue; weird, huh? Silver, gray, gold, crimson/red/maroon/wine colored, black if you want [but less, please?]. Hm.

Additional: I like your first and third custom sample layouts the best; the first one because of the little details of stars and stuff; the third because of the box layout that flowed from one section to the next without everything being separated - except for the titles.
As for things I like: foxes, butterflies, fantasy, faeries, crystals, Victorian era, music, "antique look", music, winter - I'mma ice skater, umm... feel free to ask more.
