lol, Magnum, you are certainly entertaining.

As for me I'm a writer, but I don't usually post my stuff here or anywhere for that matter. Especially recently, I really haven't written anything worth posting. -_-' I spend most of my time on Gaia in the Writer forums. I do go through and try to give a review/crit to whatever it is I may read. Then you run into the trouble of people taking constructive criticism way to personally... sweatdrop Hasn't happened to me so much as I've seen it happen to others. It's a sad thing that you get shot down for trying to help someone. -_-'

yes. but don't worry. if they cannot take some criticism, then how do they ever expect to make it out there in the real world of literature? that just doens't make sense. to be an artist is to constantly bear in mind that you will have admirers, and you will have those who wish to see you burn on the stake. that's it in a nutshell. so they have to learn to deal, and whether they like it or not, they actually might learn something from a crit. if they manage to see past the pettiness that inhibits them from realizing that hey, this is art, and not everyone is going to have the same opinion. okay then. well i hope that's a little 2 cents for you. good luck and don't give up!

No, that's not irony, that's more a depressing fact.

Have you thought about forming up a list of decent stories on Gaia for others to refer to? *half-smile* Just a thought. It'd be cool to see links to some of the better stories on here centralized. 'Course you'd want to fix it so that the author of the story wasn't the one submitting it for the list and probably get a couple of people to affirm that it's decent, at the least.

Set up a sub-commitee or group to do it for you or to help out? *ponders* I'd be willing to help out with it. wink
Probably the best way to start up would be to ask for people to nominate their favorite writers on a separate board. Take a look at who others think are good writers and, based on that, go through their work or ask someone else to and come up with a list of links.

Humm .. I wonder if the GPS and GPrS would be interested in helping out .. maybe not but it could be suggested to them.
