Whimsy: Sadly, no. But it's a detective novel, so it's not exactly arduous (although having said that I have some Shakespeare to work on over the weekend... heh). whee I am looking forward to having most of the evening. Aside from dinner and the gym, I should probably get at least 5k written.

That make sense, if I ever find myself with food poisoning I will keep that in mind.

PMS
I want you class where you get to read a detective novel.
That is awesome that you should get 5k written.
It's only day two and I'm already behind, but luckily the only work I'm supposed to be doing right now and musical needs. Although my lack of skill at the drum set are probably a good enough excuse to actually practice, I'm probably not going to do it. My band director can just regret her decision for letting me in jazz band in the first place. Hearts.

PMSing, I threw up a little in my mouth at the thought of reading such an amount and I question if there's sarcasm in your post, but then again that's just my personal opinion of forced reading assignments. Dislike!

Whimsy, I feel your pain. My week end is being consumed by my school's football team making it into the playoffs in the first time in. . .ever, and my drum line calls for my presence.

This thought of band consuming my life is a sad one. Broken hearts.

Flapjacks: I'm an English major. Reading happens a lot in my degree. xd

Whimsy: It's a class called "Women in Detective Fiction", so the protagonists/detectives are pretty much all women. We did some Agatha Christie, and Sue Grafton, and we're moving onto The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo eventually, which I'm excited about. The class is very interesting. And also it's helpful since I want to write my thesis/dissertation on women in detective fiction next autumn.

Btw, what's your name on the NaNo site? I'd like to buddy with you, if that's okay. :3

It is the same username. Here I am.
That class sounds interesting. I have that book up in my room somewhere, I was planning on reading it but then it got in a box and the box went somewhere.

I really want to do this, but I'm drained of ideas currently. emo
Anyone have any ideas?

Whimsy: Awesome. =D I added you. (I'm Kitty Taylor).

So... This reading is taking a long time. Because I'm sleepy. It's almost 7pm and I'm not done. gonk I want to hit at least 20,000 today. Grr!!

Shadowy Senshi

Gogogogo, PMS! I believe in your speedy fingers and magically fast reading abilities =D

I've hit my (much lower) word count goal of 6k. Now I'm going to reward myself with some Portal 2 for an hour, then try and write another annotative bibliography before tomorrow. In all honesty, that second part might not happen ;p

Okay, so Flea was a little too hopeful about being over her sickness... But it's not as bad as last night, so that's good. Let's keep our fingers crossed that I don't have e. coli or something. sweatdrop

Because I am feeling extremely not motivated to actually write, I just took every single contraction out of my project and added words... sweatdrop

I'm feeling more of a desire to paint than I am to do anything else at the moment - needless to say, this conflicts with NaNoWriMo. .____.'

That sucks, when I have an upset stomach I make some rice and pour some milk over it and add cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar because it tastes good. I have yet to barf that stuff up.

You could put a painting in the story and have your characters talk about it and the techniques used to make it or something.
Also just because I am curious did you turn tomorrow to on the morrow? It would get you two extra words.

The sad thing is that when I write fantasy set in middle ages/ renaissance era I do that. :renfairenerd:

Dapper Fatcat

So it's 4:23 here and I only just turned on my computer half an hour ago. Hopefully my goal of hitting 10k today isn't too damaged >x>

But oh god that nap I had was fantastic.

I just don't feel motivated to write at all... And holy moly, that sounds like a good idea, considering how many times the word "tomorrow" is in my project. sweatdrop
