Okay, so I know very little about the Aes Denai and I'm curious to learn more.
I am, as far as I am aware, the only one of us to openly have an internet presence. There's only a couple of score of us and, save from a certain ethic when it comes to the revival of our practices, we're (like most revivalist trads) not really all that codified.

I've tried googling numerous times, but I turn up nothing and have no clue on where to start when it comes to books
The Leabhar Gebhala Eirinn, the Annals of the Masters, the Books of Leinster and Ballymote.
You won't find a decent modernly published book. There are none. Almost all modern books published on paganism are done for the purposes of generating revenue for Llewwelyn, not for informing people about the things they think they're getting books on.

especially when trying to inform someone else about it.
Why would you be trying to do that? Genuine question.

A while back I came in here, ignorantly claiming to be an Irish Celtic Recon and was promptly put in my place, but I'd like to know more about how it's closed and what not. Especially so I can help stop others from doing what I naively did.
If you are not a Gael, you have no place in our religion.
This isn't racism, it's not us saying you are less than us, just that you do not conform to the expectations our Gods have for their followers. Part of the expectations are your cultural identity. You cannot emulate it and expect it to be the same

Also, this might be a stupid question, but I'm rather... ignorant on the subject I guess, are there Celtic paths outside of Aes Denai?
Yes. There are many. Aes Denai is a linguistic contrivance. It's a declination of "Aos Dana" which is an Old Irish term the meaning of which varies depending on who you ask but is generally accepted to mean "the Gifted Ones". The contrived meaning is "those who would be the gifted ones" believing that, since the original practice died we should not attempt to recreate it or revive it but simple strive to.

Any and all help or source recommendations are highly appreciated.
If you want to actually study the sources, you're going to have to learn 4th Century Irish.
ISOS will provide you with screen shots that you can read.
