Hello! Welcome to the newest home of Waterlily's! I'm Orpheros, owner and creator of the beautiful koi you will find below.

- July 8th, 2008 - It's been three years since I last updated the news? Good lord. Anyway, the shop's been so quiet lately.. it's depressing! I added a poll, and want to get things up and running again.

- October 17th, 2005 - Added the Halloween limiteds last night, and the angelic/demonic koi a few days ago.

- September 23rd, 2005 - Let's try this again, yes? After the last bout of Gaia glitches, ALL new updates to this thread were lost. I was almost done too. :/ So I'm trying again. Hopefully I'll be able to get everything up and running again soon!
- June 21, 2005 - Waterlily's is one year old! Aw!
- April 24th, 2005 - Set up new thread, will continue work on it as much as I have time for!

* Regarding GIFT koi - Buying them for a breedable pet? (Happens all the time. xD) Want me to post (under the Waterlily's mule) the koi in an RP thread or journal? I'd be more than happy to! Just let me know in your order form and give me a link to wherever you'd like them to be delivered and I'll do so as soon as I'm able.

NEW: Just a few things to help ordering run a little smoother. There are 67 kinds of koi available here (that's 268 altogether, both sizes and types), and it's crazy filling an order that's all over the place.

STANDARDS, THEN BUTTERFLY. Order your standards first! Then your butterflies. That's how I send them. Ideally, set your order format up like this if it's huge:
- Small standards
- Small butterflies
- Large standards
- Large butterflies

Standard = short fins, stocky bodies
Butterfly = long fins, graceful bodies

If you want the whole set of a certain kind of koi, JUST TELL ME. Say "All of the swirl koi!" or "All of the Guest colored quest koi!" You don't need to tell me each individual name of the koi if you want the whole set! Make sure you notice how many koi are in a set (usually 5 or 10), and send the correct trade for them!

I will only have THREE custom koi spots open at a time. This is to prevent my getting so far behind again. Once I've finished with the three on the list, ordering will be open.


Regarding customs:
- No lineart alterations. If you want an item, or if your custom has hair or something, I will work it into the design on the koi itself. Look at my past customs to get an idea of what I mean.
- No complaing about my prices. Complain, and you're on the gray or blacklist. I will not tolerate this.
-- Cosplays:
-- Give me at least one photo reference. Don't expect me to know what a character is, where it's from, or what a pet looks like.
-- Don't expect cosplays the next day. They take longer than any other koi.
-- You can describe how you want them to look all you want, but if I think I can do a better job of making the koi look like the character, I'll do so. Keep that in mind. I'll make the koi looks as close as I can design-wise to the picture you provide. Check my samples to see what I mean.


How it will work:
1. Post your order in the thread using my order form. Please check my pricing scale before ordering, just so you know what -may- be expected cost-wise. DO NOT SEND A TRADE. You can always ask me how much I think it'll be, too. I don't mind that.
2. If I have questions (which I might, I like knowing exactly what you want), I will contact you via AIM or PM.
3. Give me TIME to finish your koi. I can't promise how long it will take.. it might be that day, it might take a couple weeks. Don't nag me, unless it's been a really long time (like, more than 3 weeks).
4. When I have finished your koi I will contact you via AIM or PM and send you a sample image if your koi and let you know the total cost. (Cost depends on time spent on it, it is purely on an individual basis.)
5. If you are happy with your koi, send the trade, and I will send you the final images (large and small) of your koi.


Pricing:
Individual custom koi can be priced anywhere from 500g to 3k.

*Custom prices are on an individual basis ONLY. There is never any guarantee of what a custom price will be, unless I give you a definite price.*

500g-800g - Simple coloration, fairly easy markings, and won't take more than 30 minutes or so.
900g-2000g - More complicated coloration than the 500g range, takes a little under an hour to possibly an hour and a half. Most of my customs have been in this range.
2100g-3000g - Mostly cosplays and very difficult/complicated designs. Some are more difficult than others, I'll let you know once I have an idea of what you're looking for.

YIKES. This list was WAY outdated, and most of the links were broken. I'm going through and getting rid of everything that doesn't have a nice little banner. If you'd like your banner re-posted, send me a new link!
