His hair was pretty awesome xP I didn't really like the movie in general, but the visuals, aside from the blood, were great.

The music was great and the use of Cohen was a good move. The blood was terrible and ruined the key scenes for me, but everything else I liked. Some of the singing wasn't that great (they're actors, not singers xD), but I really don't think Burton set out to make a good musical, he set out to make an atmospheric film with good visuals, as usual. In that, he succeeded.

Yeah, the way it was all pale in real time, then in Lovettes daydream it was colorful except their skin.

I liked the music, and Depp did come o Hollywood in a band.

i've seen it on stage.
which is probably why i didn't particularly enjoy the "by the sea" scene.
the songs are pretty amazingly done.
i love the girl who plays "johanna"'s voice.
and i love her song, too (:

I didn't say they couldn't sing, they just weren't of the caliber I normally expect in a musical, particularly if it's an adaptation of a stage musical. They were pretty good, I just expected more.
The songs were indeed great nonetheless, but that is to be expected of such a popular stage musical.

star: I can't really remember Johanna's voice since she had a small part. I don't think I liked it very much, but as I said, I can't remember it so I can't accurately say whether I liked it or not xD
The whole Johanna/Anthony subplot kind of flew by my head. It served as a good contrast to the relationship between Lovett and Todd, but by itself it was nothing interesting.

i completely agree.

johanna's voice was so soprano-pretty.
it's like real singing vs. fake-pop-singing.
they're different but still nice.
depending on who you're listening to.

stage to movie is becoming increasingly popular.
i hope they do "wicked" soon.
