I think the how to buy Minishop items is dependent on the shop. There are rp shops like mine, and order form based ones. So buying can vary a lot.
I think the Minishops in general are a place where you can by decorations for your sig, profile, etc. But it's got a bit of a deeper meaning to it too. Minishoppers, I think, are like hobbyists. Like yourself, they buy and collect art much like a stamp or coin collector collects stamps and coins. It's not for practicality, but for pure enjoyment. I find that buying art somewhat fulfills me. I have a cute little thing that just brightens my day.
And I think that's a good idea, though maybe it should be a sticky. It would be really helpful.
Yep, some of that (explaining why stealing is wrong, I've seen people in the CB and other places once in a while sell stuff from Minishops, trying pass off work as their own. x_x )
As for the explaining the buying process, I'm probably not going to go much into that but keep the #1 rule that's saved me from embarrassment- read the entire front page of the thread. Not just one post, nor the 'order form/how to order' post. The
entire thread. Usually the best thing to do. C: And maybe alongside list ways to get more gold (aka bootygrab, exchange, etc) if need be.
And that's basically what the Minishops is. If one had to put it in a harsh way (as I've heard in other places from time to time), it'd be counted as "premade art". Somehow though, I don't really feel that it is. Most likely because of the pure enjoyment (which for some reason I cannot explain *_* but it's just fun to save and look at them in general

(Explaining who they/we/are. Might need help on this. Tons of help needed.)
3. What is a "Minishop"?
(Need help on answering this too.)
4. What is a "Minishop pixel"?
(Whatever is sold in Minishops basically. Pixel food, pixel dolls, pixel items, drawn foods, characters, blinkies, etc, need expansion on this.)
5. How does one buy these "minishop pixels"?
(Basically reading the entire shop thread, taking much care to especially read the rules and/or how to order, quick overview of how to order, the currency used to order, etc, need expansion on this.)
6. Now what do we do with them? And what can't I do with them?
(Save them to one's computer, upload them to sites like photobucket/tinypic/etc, display them in toyboxes, post styles, signatures, profiles, etc. Need more expansion on this.
For what we can't use them for, no using for thread layouts, on other sites, etc. Need more expandy on this.)
7. What is a "toybox"? "Post Style"? etc
(Explain these terms, possibly more onto where a toybox can be placed. Commonly in journals, though some have them in threads, guilds, etc.)
8. "Changing/"Breedable" Items, pixels, or pets"
(Explain how this works, need help on this.)
9. Now, can't I just steal/save the images others have?
(Explaining that theft/stealing images is wrong, why it is, etc. Need to expand this maybe.)
