Yeah, I get really made when people open up a store with low quality art and expect it to take off. I hate it when they complain about not getting customers and call their own art crap. I mean, there's your reason right there.
I hope I can keep running this shop when I'm an old lady XD

haha i always found it funny when they have like 1 post shops and in the first post it says yes i know my arts not very good but my price is still 2k haha and then by the 2nd post they are complaining about no customers blaugh
i remember seeing a shop and the title was lego figurines or something like that and i was like cool maybe they were like little pixel lego figures but no he was charging 2k for a picture of a lego head on one of those green bases that come with the sets rofl

O_o. That's crazy.
I think people should be humble when I comes to their art. When people make art solely for money, it takes away from the effort that goes into it. I sell my art because I like to draw, and I want what I draw to make people happy. That's why I don't charge a lot; it really doesn't matter to me.

yeah the shops are always more successful when the owner/artist actually cares about the art not just the money
i wish i had artistic talent so i could make my own shop but i have none sad like literally none what so ever

I used to suck at art. But then I paid attention to the things that made it look real, like shading, lighting, and proportions. I think that's key to any realistic art.
I'm even starting to pixel a little. It's still rough, but it takes time and practice.

yeah im horrible at the shading and stuff like i can draw if i have one of those step by step books and it turns out great (well its better once i color it to hide the mistakes haha) but other then that i cant really draw much

Yep, that's why I stick to food. I'm not good at drawing people yet because I suck at proportions. I practice with chibis because their proportions are off on purpose.

Right now actually, but I decided to hire Clazziquai Projection for now. She's a fresh face, and even though she hasn't been a waitress before, she's familiar with the mini shop forum and looks like she can pick things up fast.
