That's kinda how I started. with a simple 40 card deck against basically another 40 card. Booster drafts sound fun, but it costs a lot. ...well....
sweatdrop in general MtG is good at consuming funds. XD The latest set, Therros, which is gonna be released later this month is all around heroes and Gods all Greco-Roman kind of stuff. It looks REALLY good. The pre-releases sound pretty fun.
...too many people, though. X_X; Can't do it. I just play close to home and with friends that come over. Mostly against darling and his brutal decks. XD It's cool to learn from each other and adapt your strategies. But yeah... a big part of me doesn't wanna go back next Wednesday. -_-;
Oh! Simple stuff. ^o^ It's good, though. I think that's the best kind, honestly. Whenever I go out anywhere, I always come back drained and have to shower and change into my plain(er) clothes.
I basically just go to sleep and recoup from it.

I miss having good friends to hang out with.

Oh yea I love the art in the game and the game is fun, my colleagues really liked it until like you said they couldn't afford to play it anymore.
It's nice you guys gather to play though!
We have shopping trips too but not many since it costs us quite a bit XD
I'm sure you have some, maybe just invite them over to watch a movie or go to the movies with a few friends.
XD That sounded wrong! I meant... my friends are all far away. All I know around here are dudes!
mrgreen So yeah....
sweatdrop but still, you do have a point.
Man, this one dude bought like six booster boxes that were supposed to be meant for his store. X_X; That's...just... BLAH! Decks costing in the hundreds is quite common. Even the Online version they make you buy your boosters and cards. Otherwise, I would've played it for practice. But, yeah nope. Strangely enough, I compared prices with YuGiOh, and you get less cards for a higher price point with YGO.
