Actually taiwanese and mandarin are extremely similar. O_o they almost have all the same words.
If you speak mandarin, you pretty much understand taiwanese. o_o
Hey me too!
Haha, I'm Taiwanese as well xd
Can you speak Chinese or Taiwanese? (or both? xd)
I can speak Mandarin and count to ten in Taiwanese. xD How about you?
O_O
ME TOO
That's so weird xd
Taiwanese kind of sounds like Cantonese when you think about it...heheh
A bit. xD It also sounds a bit like Japanese. Well, at least the numbers do. xD
I only know one phrase in Cantonese.
I know how to say "I can't listen to or speak it." Someone taught me. xD
Hey that's cool =)
Eh. I feel bad whenever someone who speaks Cantonese comes up to me and starts speaking. I just stand there and go "...I think you have the wrong Chinese O__o" "
@Hyde: Well, the words are basically the same for Taiwanese and Chinese. It's just that the phonics for Chinese are replaced with something other phonics from Taiwanese, so it ends up sounding kind of warped xd.
