Is there something really heinously wrong with someone insisting that self-identified psychic vampires and sanguinarians
(and self-identified hybrids for that matter) are experiencing different conditions? Why is everyone so hung
the ******** up on throwing everyone into one box at the expense of the acknowledging the really important
distinguishing factors between us?
I am getting really exhausted with being told that I am trying to prioritize the experience of sanguinarians somehow
just because I insist that I am *not a psychic vampire*, holy s**t. Or better yet I am told that I am trying to
tell other people that they are ~not vampires~ or that I am trying to say that I think the word "vampire" should
only refer to sanguinarians.
******** I don't really want to have to get anywhere near the v word, not even with a 10 ft pole, but recognize
that if I want to network I'm going to have to accept it occasionally. Seriously though the LAST thing I want is
to call myself a vampire. s**t you guys.

I've always thought that they're two separate experiences too. I only recently learned a few psi methods to feed, and it doesn't seem like quite the same thing as taking in blood. Really the only similarity I can find between the two methods is the end result. I see the point of sort of grouping the two terms together though, because similar things come up in conversation on them both, but I've always rather thought of them as still being separate things.
I know what you mean about other people getting upset when you just refer to one or the other though. It gets pretty annoying after awhile... Along with the term "real vampire"...
