now this is actually a genuine question i'm not spamming or hating, but do you vamps find that being vampiric in any way makes you more prone to being photophobic/afraid and/or allergic to light, because I know that this is a real condition, so I just wondered if any of your guys were susceptible to it, and whether it's because of the vampirism or not

Sunlight has no effect on me as such, other than I burn if I'm out in the sun too long, just like any other fair skinned person. However my fiance does have a form of light sensitivity, bright light blinds him so he he avoids going out when the sun is aproaching, at, and descending from its zenith point everyday. Its more noticable in the summer than the winter though.

owie sad that sounds really quite painful

Sunlight (Or just about any kind of light in general) affects me in ways that it wouldn't normally affect people. I burn easily, and when I have exposed skin in the sunlight, it irritates me. Also, yes, I don't like having my picture taken, especially not those professional people with the huge flash screens >.> Also, whenever I go out into the sunlight I find an uncontrollable urge to sneeze...So yea...It's kind of strange to me..

I'm extremely light sensitive, it could be caused by the vampirism, but I do not think that every light sensitive person out there has vampirism.

This.

Though I can confirm my light sensitivity did not start until after my awakening did. I don't go outside without shades now. And you'll rarely if ever find me in direct sunlight, shades or not.

Eh. There's really no set time for awakening. They say that it's typical for major awakening to happen around puberty, but for me there has been many 'awakenings'... first starting out as traits, that at the time, I thought was normal (even though those in my environment would say it was not). My earliest memories of my "blood-thirsty" nature was when I was 7 or 8. I used the term "part-spider" because at the time, it was the only thing I could relate it to. "Vampire" wasn't even in my mind.

After some time, I started feeding off people in dreams, and astrally. Again - this process I thought was normal (dreaming with vivid and lucidity, and astral travel), and because I was shy and didn't speak to many people, I would only find out much later that this sort of thing was not the average.

It was only until I was about.. 17, that I started learning about what real vampires were. And that "energy vampires" existed, and that I could psi-feed if I put my mind to it. Even though, I still reverted to astral feeding, bi-monthly, and then monthly... as I got older my needs grew. I ended up astral feeding every couple weeks, until my sensitivities grew unbearable at times. I decided to try eating rare steak to see if that soothed me. And it did. I remember having a huge migraine, and my eyes were practically burning from the sun and the lights in the restaurant were screaming bright. Luckily, the steak they brought out was underdone. Just what I needed. As soon as I started eating it, I felt a lot better. The lights and my headache dulled enough and was manageable. So it became part of my thing. To get a rare steak every couple weeks, coupled with astral feeding. It wasn't until a bit more later that for some reason, the steaks weren't working. Whether it was not enough blood in them, or maybe not enough energy.. but my cravings grew into something more. Eventually I used the term sanguinarian for myself, as I did eventually need human blood... and there you go. razz

Probably as short as I'm gonna make that. Aha.
