oc lifestyle is just not me. there is nothing wrong with it though.
i am not really into fashion and chilliing at the beach all the time. and it's hella expensive! lol

lol I don't like the beach either! And I grew up with the beach in my backyard, something about all the sand....I detest sand.

I do love fashion though heart

Regarding it being expensive, does the military do a lot more for families there in terms of housing allowance?

they do give us more money for housing. but unless we live an hour or more away from where my husband works (base is HUGE) we would have to pay out of pocket for utilities.

and with gas prices these days living closer is better! lol

I've always had a penchant for pricey things with pretty labels, so Socal was perfect, NY was even more perfect rofl Its something that seems to matter less and less with age though, or maybe just location. People don't seem to be as fashion conscious away from the cities. We moved to the suburbs so I hardly see the neighbors, let alone anyone to get into fashion with.

How do you guys feel about moving from place to place? I know its necessary for their occupations, but I have to admit, I'm getting a tad homesick crying

i get homesick once in awhile. but i love being able to move around.
i grew up in utah and wanted to get out of there as soon as i could.

ugh i know how that is, ive lived in az my whole life, never moved once, ive even lived in the same town.. it sucks!

but i'm so happy to start a life with my boyfriend and cant wait to move in with him!
I'm glad you guys are sounding like moving isn't so bad. I'm hoping that I get used to it. Whenever I moved in the past I always knew that it wouldn't be forever, but this time I kind of feel like there is a sense of finality. I'm sure it'll go away in time, home is not somewhere I want to end up again anytime soon anyway.
yeah i'm really anxious to move, the town i live in is horrible. its the type of town where someone hears you stubbed your toe, and by the time it gets back to you ppl are asking you if you ankle is broken, and every one here is WAAAY nosy, it irratates me lol.
cant wait to move though, i'm super excited@
moving is tough at first. i missed all my friends and family for sure.
but i slowly got to know some other wives and a couple of them are now my best friends!
it was hard though. i suck at making friends lol so it took awhile. but i was just happy to be out of utah!

lol. i get told all the time that i just look mean =[ haha
seriously we moved here and i was walking down the street and got dirty looks.
one time a woman stopped me on the sidewalk (she was walking her dog) to say hello. i said hello back then she looked me up and down and said i was too skinny to be her friend.

another time was at our mailboxes (they are all together like at apartments) and three girls just gave me dirty look.

but yeah people tell me all the time that until they got to know me i seemed like a b***h. lol

have a good night!

sounds like a military base =[
rumors are outrageous! it's like some of these people have nothing better to do.
that's one reason i liked living off base!
I kind of wish that I did live on post for that reason, so that I could meet other military spouses (when the SO and I get married of course). He however, says that we'll never live on base. It looks kind of cool to be in a close knit community. I'm sure it would suck if they were all bitches though, I've heard bad things about base life, but good as well.

Tink, from your profile you seem like a cool person biggrin I have the problem of not having any specific expression on my face when I'm walking around so people don't know what to expect. I used to smile at least people we made eye contact out of courtesy, but I've learned to stop that. People are just bitches a lot of the time and it doesn't seem to make a difference whether you smile at them or not. I do feel bad when I don't smile and someone smiles at me though rofl I guess I can't have it both ways.
I lovvvvveeee living on post.
and I love moving.

when i was younger i moved alot because my dad is an officer x_x
and then we he left ( he rejoined again ) i moved to illinois where i stayed for awhile.
i was very thankful i had lived in so many places, all of my friends lived in the same city their entire lives.
i was very happy that i got to see so much xD and live in so many different places.

i definately know people who love living on base. i mean i don't hate it. but sometimes i think it would be nice to get away from the military world. lol

when we moved here it was kind of wierd to have to get used to hearing machine guns at night and our house shaking from an artillery range. i swear if we had a earthquake i would never know! haha

and thanks! from talking on here with you i think you seem pretty cool too! biggrin

I didn't know that they put the housing that close to the range. I guess it makes sense though, it is a base after all.
