Hell, I guess it's because I'd rather put my faith in real, living people who'll actually be there for me when I need them.

That's just it. God IS a really living person. In his Church. Just because we can't see him doesn't mean he's not there. He's like the wind, you can't see it , but you can see the effects it brings to us.

My personal policy is

"Just live your life. If anything happens after, you deserve it.."

That isn't exactly something to be proud of. In fact, that's NOTHING to be proud of. That's the kind of attitude you'll regret later on.

If you can tell me whats so easy about it, then be my guest. To me, God is an illogical thought created by man. But then again, why NOT believe that theres an ever so nice ultimate being that can send you to heaven as long as you can be a nice little boy/girl. Personally, I'm sort of a Deist, because I hate the idea of just dieing, and being nothing. I want to be with someone when I die. Whether it be God, or this girl in my class that I have a HUGE crush on, I want to be "alive" in a sense. But yea, to answer your question, it isn't hard to believe it, its just hard to prove it.

if i could choose the god that everyone would believe in it would be like:
-Everyone can "relive" life, or choose to just stay in Heaven
-If you stay in heaven, you can choose to relive at any time (ex. OMG, so my GF in my old life is living, i wanna relive w/ her so that I can feel the same wonderful persons prescence again!- that'd be me lol)
-God is just some guy whos like: Sup, you wanna here the new Children of Bodom album, its not even out yet on Earth dude.
-Jesus is some dude named: IDontStealKills211 on Halo 3
-Moses plays on a baseball team named: The Waterways
-Finally, while in heaven, you feel no pain or anything and no evil thoughts ever come into your head (when I say evil what I mean is that sex isnt evil...lol.) oh, and theres no such thing as Hell.

One answer... Because ppl see and believe with their eyes. And what they see with their eyes is christians telling them sex is bad, drinking is bad, and all these other things are bad, and that they have to do this and they have to do that, and they get enough rules with the law. And When ppl think God, they think Christianity, and they feel if they have to believe in God that they have to abide by the rules religion has set down. of course this isn't the case, but you know, its how ppl think. Other things are the fact that ppl can't believe in something intangible. And others have expieriences where they feel if their was a god he should've done something about it.

I've some vague mix of Agnostic and Gnostic. I believe that there are higher powers than man. But I believe that if God is so vast as to be Omnipresent and Omniscient then there is no possibility of a human being able to fully understand them. whether god really is interested in the plight of man or not is also an interesting question for me.

I do like to read and study various religions because I see them as offering different views on different facets of that which humans deem "holy" and to study one to the exclusion of others is just as bad as not studying one at all.

all of this is based on how I was Raised. My mother was raised Anglican and decided she wouldn't have her kids brainwashed the same way she was. so instead of insisting on Giving us a "Christian" upbringing, she instead filled the house full of books on different religions and encouraged us to make up our own minds and to follow a faith that makes sense to us.

And the Christian religion just doesn't make sense to me. None of them do really.

Why spend my life planning for my death?

There's no reason to regret my policy later on. You only have one life, live it, just be a good person with common decency, and you'll be fine.
