What i tend to eat for lunch when I make it myself is a nice sandwich with real whole wheat bread (50 calories a slice for ours!) and load it up with turkey or any other lower calorie lunchmeats, a slice of cheese, and occasionally darker leafed greens like raw spinach or whatever we have in the house. the darker the veggie, usually, the better for you it is. xD And then a serving of any fruit on the side. Another thing you could do is rice and dress it up with veggies and sauce. What we had the other night ws those 'veggie steamers' cheddar and broccoli servings mixed into our rice. So nummy. Really just try to be well rounded in it, don't make it ALL fruit or ALL veggie or ALL bread and so on.
That's how my best friend makes his sandwiches, & I often steal them because they are delish. I'm thinking I should just switch breads, because I LOVE the taste of my wheat brand, but it gets all dry by lunchtime, so I don't pack sandwiches often.
I'm also tempted to try wraps, but I've heard some of those are bad for you, so I'm thinking I can buy my own tortillas & make more healthy ones at home. My friend (same as above) does that, & his are so good, I steal bites a lot.
Oh, & I pack apples a lot, but I'm getting sick of them. I need a new fruit. xD
