We here at Operation Beautiful want you- yes,
you, to help us create one large Christmas and New Years gift for everyone here on Gaia, using YOUR talents and skills to the best of your ability! We want to see what you guys can do that makes
you beautiful.
What Can I Do?
[Also known as: GIVE ME IDEAS!]
If you're a singer, you can sing about it. Anything.
If you're a writer, you can write. Poems, stories,
essays if you want.
If you dance, you can dance. Whether it's funny and silly, or you just showing us what you can do.
If you're a photographer, take photographs. Of yourself, of the things around you.
Make videos of things that are beautiful.
Do a skit, do a speech, leave COMMENTS.
Show us where beauty is in you, and your life. Or Hell, even show us where GAIA is! Involve anything and everything you want. [With exceptions.]
THE DREADED RULES.
1. Do not do/use anything illegal in anything you submit.
2. If you're using anyone else you know in this entry- If it's a video, or song, or whatever, OBTAIN permission from them for it to be put on a public site.
3. Don't discriminate, it's totally uncool, dude.
4. Don't flame. You don't like it, it annoys you? How is flaming any of us 'cool' or hardcore, or whatever? Just move on with ya life.
5. Only do it if it is something you are comfortable with. It should be something you put passion or energy into, not something you felt you should do.
Why Are We Doing This?
[Also known as: Why are you TRYING to enforce community spirit on us and WHY should we participate?!]
We are doing this BECAUSE: We love Gaia, we love the people who are here. We believe that you're all special, unique people in your own right, and we'd like to create a tribute to the awesomeness of not only the site and the people on it, but a reminder to everyone that at the end of the day, we are one big loving
and very dysfunctional family.
And also 'cause we think it's fun, and that a lot of you have the potential to inspire others to do anything they want. Let's showcase some talent, people!
Why YOU should participate: Well, let me start off with- You don't HAVE too. Not at all. We encourage it, and we think it'd be great if EVERYONE contributed, but obviously- It's not something you should feel forced to do.
We want you to participate so you get the chance to give something out to Gaia and the people around you. To inspire those around you.. -Cue rising music.- To TAAAKE a piece of yourself and SHOOOW it to the WOOORLD!

When Is It Due?
We're hoping to get this done BY New Years Day, so we can start off the New Year with you guys showing us what you can do and giving you a goal to keep improving and striving for what you believe in all year long.
Can I Get An Extension?
We haven't even started, do you
really need one?
Of course!
If you can't make the deadline, just contribute ANYWAYS! We'd love to see what you guys can do all year around. I believe we should be celebrating each other's talents, triumphs and watching YOU guys excel is something we love to do!
I Can't Participate!
You don't have a camera, mic, webcam, medium of getting a drawing/video/song/dance?
We still would love you to write something. Even just a quote from someone who inspires you, or a song you love, something you think will have meaning for others too!
If you tell me you don't have a laptop and internet, I'm not going to believe you. D:
I Don't Want To Participate!
Then don't participate, of course. But please don't flame/mock either. =/ It's just kinda.. sad. Let us do what we want, and even if only five people do it or fifty people do it- It's going to be an awesome achievement.
