If they are stupid maybe.
but No...
I think it's escapism. They want to blame their lack of inhibitions on the alcohol. Note: lack of inhibitions. Alcohol doesn't make you a different person, it just releases parts of you you generally keep under wraps. That could mean the desire to ******** someone is allowed full reign, since there is little thought as to the consequences.

I never do anything drunk I wouldn't do sober, as a rule. And if I'm too drunk to make good decisions? I get my a** home and into bed as fast as possible.

It's just an excuse.

No. Besides recreational drug use itself being disgusting, it's blaming their own actions on some drink. No personal responsibility at all here; it doesn't force you to cheat on people. And you know, maybe you don't need to go and get ******** drunk.

Sparkly Shapeshifter

No it's not.
But i also dont think infidelity should equal a break-up. Unless it's chronic, I think people should forgive and try to move on with their relationship.

Rather than put way more into drunken sex than there is.
Of course.

It's the only way I've been avoiding those rape charges.

No, because in the first place you decided to get drunk, so it ends up being your responsibility anyway.
It depends on the situation. If they both were at the same place bad idea to use that excuse. If they were not at the same place it might be reasonable.

I'm not sure how your reasoning here works. When you're drunk, you're not in the same state of mind, and your perception on what is your "normal" behavior is no doubt going to be different than if you are sober.

And if you're too drunk to make good decisions, how would you be able to make the good decision of going home?

Just something that jumped out at me.
Depends. If it's once, and they truly say they're sorry, then it's okay.

But if it occurs often, that's when you know there's a prob.

          No.
If that person drinks, then they know what they could be getting themselves into.
"I was drunk" is the lamest ******** excuse in the book.

Hands down, NO! I"m really sorry if this happened to you or someone you know, but it is not an excuse at all! More like a cop out and way to dodge responsibility.
If your single, Sure, why not.

If you are in a relationship though, you have responsibilities to control yourself sexually.
In that case, no.
