westbury on trym.
well, that was a bust. the wedding of the braizen-corbeau mother and the paterson father completely failed, guess that means damon braizen is off the hook for once. however, thanks to katy hale's grand announcement when the bride had all but retreated, you know, the one about trinity marks' affair with jasper millson -- oh yeah, baby, the b***h was cheating on damon braizen -- he's still not exactly in the grandest of moods. in fact, he's all but bolted off to a pub to hide out. nobody can guess where the guy has gone, well, except for his female counterpart katy hale. and katy does feel bad about announcing it in the fashion that she did, but if you're gonna get a job done, might as well do it right, right?

xxxxxxxTHREADSxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxROOMxxxxxxxxxxxxxSONGx
- Why couldn’t her parents have just named her Katrynah? It would have made her life about a hundred times easier. She was Charlotte, her sister was Charles. Twins, too. ******** assholes couldn’t think of anything more original, or did they want to have a Dr. Suess family? Thing One and Thing Two. Lovely, no? She stood there, staring directly forward, admiring the chaos she had started. Oh yes, she had done a spectacularily beautiful job, and it was pure heaven to watch Trinity’s ugly little ******** face pale into a crème that couldn’t be duplicated anywhere. A giggle slid evilly through her plump lips. “Not with a fizzle…” she murmured, stepping down off the stage. This was far too perfect, she knew that there had to be some Karma that would come and kick her a** or something, but for the moment, she didn’t give a flying [********], she was far too looking forward to the idea of just watching Trinity’s life fall to ruins. People all around her were already reguarding her differently, and tears were filling up those pretty, perfect eyes. Katy walked in her general direction, smiling politely. “Did you enjoy my little show?” Katy asked with a broad smile. Trinity looked as though she were ready to slap the smile right of Katy’s face, and Katy fluttered her eyelashes ever so innocently. “Do you know what you’ve done?” she snarled in an overly hushed tone. Katy pondered the thought, well, pretended to ponder it, and then she looked over at the girl. “Actually, yes. I put you, the scheming, manipulative, cheating little whore in your place, and I don’t think that that’s considered a “bad thing” really. You know what, Trinity, I knew there was a reason I hated your spiteful little a** from the start. Sorry, spiteful big a**. You could really stand to lose a few pounds,” with the sneer and the condescending comment, Katy patted Trinity on the top of the head and turned on her heel. People all but parted to let her past as she gripped her small clutch purse in her hand and held her coat loosely over her shoulder. Now she needed to find Damon, the only innocent one – shockingly – in amongst all of this. What had Katrynah Hale done exactly to make this big of a scene? Well, you see, that is a story for the ages.
Now was the perfect time. The wedding was a flop, Mrs. Braizen-Corbeau was gone, and everybody else remained, drinking and gossiping in hushed tones. She knew that she wanted to do it while everybody was still listening. Oh goodness this was going to be perfect. She was just about to take to the stage when her fingers were found to be ensared in those of another. Katy’s eyes moved up to the face of her captor, and she smiled flirtatiously, allowing her free hand to move to his face. “Hello, Darling,” Katy said, pressing a sweet kiss to his cheek. “Charlotte,” he said, and he lifted her hand to his lips. Katy laughed and tutted in his direction. “It’s Katy, Lucian. Or have you so quickly forgotten?” He smirked, and retorted quickly, “You’re impossible to forget,” he said, and Katy smiled seductively. She hoped to god that the b***h who was taking care of her sister’s child was watching this exchange. “That is a wonderful truth. But I have business to attend to, shall we speak later?” He leaned in and pressed his lips against her ear, and Katy pressed her body close to his for just a moment. “I want to see you again. ” Katy sighed. That was a truth that she already knew far too well, but did it matter? No, it really didn’t. “I know, but we agreed, one night. Besides, if I want to get custody of my niece one day, I can’t go around sleeping with her pediatrician… It’s just not right,” she said with a gentle sigh. She leaned in and pressed her lips against his for just a moment and then she turned and walked away. She could have apologized, but if anybody had ever heard the word “Sorry” come out of Katrynah’s mouth, they would probably have a ******** heart attack, and that was one drama Katy didn’t feel like starting… Yet, anyways. She smiled and looked towards the stage, still empty, but now people looked as if they were preparing to begin filing out of here. Well, it was now or never, wasn’t it?
Clearing her throat, she fixed her dress and grabbed a glass of champagne as the waiter passed. She downed it in a few short gulps and sighed contently. This was going to be one disaster she rather enjoyed starting up. She walked easily towards the stage, her heels making a click on the floor with each step she took. Finally, she arrived at the place she wanted to be, standing right behind the podeum set up for the speaches. Oh good god, this was going to be far too good. Gripping the micriphone, she pulled it out of the place where it found refuge and moved towards the center of the stage. People were still focused on talking and gossiping with one another, but Katy wanted their attention, no. She demanded it. She didn’t need more than a moment, either. Quickly, she cleared her throat into the microphone and smiled at the crew around her. Ah, there they were. “Excuse me, may I have your attention please?” she asked into the microphone. A few people looked towards her, but then they went back to talking again. “HEY!” she shouted out, all but deafening half the crowd. Oh well, they’d survive. Their eyes turned back in her direction, and Katy immediately found herself smiling once again. This was what she wanted, the attention from the group of people who were currently surrounding her for the most spectacular announcement she had ever made in her entire life.
“Well, Hi. I guess you all know me in some way or another,” she said, grinning madly. She felt like the Cheshire cat with the sugary smile she had upon her lips. It was fake, it was ready to explode off her face. “I’m Katrynah Hale,” she heard a brief whistle from the crowd, and she searched for a moment to find the culprit. They were nowhere to be found, so she simply smiled once again. “I have to admit, this is the oddest wedding I have ever been to,” she said with a brief chuckle. “Well as I suspect, each and every one of you know Damon Braizen and his beautiful girlfriend, Trinity Marks,” at the mention of Trinity’s name, a spotlight was placed upon her. Trinity looked towards Katy with her jaw slightly agape before offering a weak smile. Katy smiled and waved at her. “Now, Damon and Trinity are very happy together, as you all well know,” she chuckled. “Or at least they were.” She walked towards the projection machine and pressed the on button. Up on the screen flashed a picture of Jasper Millson and Trinity Marks kissing in a restaurant. It was as if because they didn’t want anybody to know, they pretended that the world wouldn’t want to know. “I suspect that after this little fiasco they won’t be as happy together, but hey, who am I to judge?” she grinned and looked around for Jasper, who was sitting near the back with his brother, Keegan, looking at him like he had a third head. Oh, well done, Jasper. “So I would like you to put your hands together for the lovely Trinity Marks, ******** up her relationship and making her the most spectacular town whore that Westbury on Trym has seen yet,” Katy clapped briefly before setting the microphone back down. Her eyes followed Damon, who had almost immediately escaped out the doors. Ah well, good luck friend.
As Katrynah attempted to move through the crowd, her new dress flowing around her and her hair pinned up easily, she couldn’t stop herself from wanting to smile. It was all she wanted to do, and she loved it. She sighed happily when she got outside, slipping a cigarette pack from her handbag and slipping a smoke between her lips. Before she could find her lighter, a person had lit one in front of her. Her eyes rose and she saw Keegan Millson standing there looking at her with the fire right in front of her. She nodded, gratefully and moved her head forward slightly, catching the smoke in the fire. He closed the zippo lighter and she exhaled the first puff with a smile. Her eyes moved along his face. “Are you here to scold me?” she asked, her voice low, seductive. Keegan shook his head. “Then why are you here?” He pulled a cigarette out of his own pack and propped it between his lips, lighting it. “Same reason you are.” Katy scoffed. “You want to find out where Damon went, too?” she asked with a grin. He shook his head. “We both know where he’s gone,” he said, and she nodded. It was true, they both knew exactly where he had gone, there was nothing to question that truth. She just didn’t feel like walking over there to find him. A pub, it was close by, maybe a ten minute walk at most. She sighed and slid her arms into her jacket, and Keegan reached out to help her. “Are you going by yourself?” he asked, and she nodded. “I don’t need a wannabe knight in shining armor fallowing me around, thanks. Besides, Princess Sydney is probably wondering where you went,” he looked at Katy with an odd look. “Sydney?” Katy cocked an eyebrow. “You couldn’t tell? Oh, well, you’ll have to figure that one out yourself, Sir Keegan. However, I wouldn’t leave your Lady waiting too long,” with that, she patted his shoulder and pressed the cigarette back between her lips. “Goodnight,” she said, walking away from the group there.
Of course she didn’t have a car here, she hadn’t since quite some time back. As she walked, she found herself pondering a topic she hadn’t even considered in quite some time. What would her sister do if she were here? Jesus, Charlie was dead, and she was still sitting there wondering what she would think and do if she were here. Although most people thought that Katy had completely found herself over her sister’s death, that was far from a truthful statement. She missed her darling sister from time to time. Even though they fought tooth and nail, at least Charles Bailey Blair was the one person that Katy could count on to be there for her no matter what, and now she was gone. So what happened when all these other people were, too? Suddenly, she’d be on her own. Katrynah had never been on her own, she didn’t know how to be on her own. She had never worked, her parents supported her, and now that she was the only child she would inherit everything upon their death. The only thing she didn’t have left to her was her niece, and Katy did not think that was fair. Not in the least was that fair. She could look after Matti, of course she could. She could do anything she wanted to, but nobody seemed to want to give her the chance to grow up. Nobody wanted to try and help her grow out of this little kid stage, and they seemed to want to leave her desperate for help at every turn. She didn’t like that at all, she didn’t want to think about it at all. She sighed, and shook her head, trying to banish the thoughts from her mind. She hated thinking about her sister, it was the most pointless use of her time. With an exhasperated sigh, she stared at the pub that had finally come into view. Damn it, Damon. He owed her double now.
Okay, maybe she didn’t have to let him know about the affair the way she had, but it was still fun to tell the whole place like that and make an a** of Trinity. She smiled as she walked towards the pub quickly, and when she got in, she heard a couple whistles from people here and there. Admittedly, yes, she was hot, and she was available. People loved that about her. She walked in the direction of the man who she finally skimmed the bar to find, her dress sweeping around her knees, her hair pinned back perfectly. She smiled, flicking her eyes around and finally making it up beside Damon. He had two shots in front of him, one in his hand, and the other – foolishly – was set upon the bar. She smiled and reached out, grabbing the second shot, downing it quickly and ordering two more. When she looked back at Damon, he was looking at her like some kind of demon. “Don’t look at me like that,” she said, and she watched the way he turned slowly back to look straight ahead. Katy sat down next to him and grabbed the shot set in front of her, downing it and ordering two more. Yes, she was going to be very drunk by the end of the night, but it was going to be worth it. “You know, I didn’t wanna tell you like that, but… come on, it’s me, I couldn’t tell you any other person on earth without making a ******** a** of myself. That was the easiest way to do it so that nobody judged me, D. You know it.” She watched his face contort into a glare, straight ahead he stared, and she rolled her eyes. “[********, Damon. Grow up. She was a b***h, I told you that from day ******** one,” she snarled, furiously.
Without a second thought, she slammed back the third shot, and she knew she would feel it far more powerfully when she stood up. Time to take a break. She reached out and took his hand after he downed the next shot, tugging him up off the seat. “If you do not come dance with me right now, I will make you pay ten times over, you know it. Come on, Damon. Dance with me…” she leaned forward, her mouth finding itself pressed easily against his neck. Alright, admittedly she was one of those drunk girls who got a little frisky, but that was really just Katy. And besides, there was nothing bad about it since he was single now, as far as she knew. Her fingers found his waist and she pulled him with her, towards the dance floor. When they finally arrived, she moved herself against him, and she looked up at him. Her hands moved all over, her eyes drank him in. Damn it, she knew that she shouldn’t be doing this, but she couldn’t help it. Out of all the self-absorbed pricks that they knew, Damon was the one that she was closest to, and she loved the idea of bedding him as well. Maybe that was a little vulgar, whorish, whatever, but she had never openly said that she would stay with one man, one person. Nobody had asked her to since Robby, and when they all learned what a mistake that was, they immediately stopped asking. Some part of her hoped that Damon wouldn’t be the next. Most of her wished he would.

DAMONBRAIZENThings never did go according to plan with his mother Ms. Braizen. One minute the woman was happy and settling down, then the next minute she was getting a divorce and moving onto the next poor fool like a whore. At least she kept the Braizen name though from her first wedding, which happened to be the one where she married his b*****d father. This whole Corbeau last name thing had been s**t, not that he'd say that to his sister Alette at all, but yeah it had been s**t. Then suddenly he goes away to college to pretend to do this law course, that she wanted, and then he returns only to discover that she's going to be married for a third time. Oh yes, dear old mother is going to be a Paterson... I mean what the ********? A Paterson? Seriously? What the ********?! How could she do this? How could she say yes and even think of marrying a relation of the Millson family, who have been sworn enemies of the Braizen family for years on end? Isn't that just plain unacceptable? Isn't that just simply wrong? 'Oh yes mother, that's just perfect. You would go do that just to spite father and me wouldn't you?' The whole idea made Damon angry and when he was angry he was known for doing the most intense and unacceptable things, without a single regard for anyone. It had only been three weeks since the news of this ridicuous fake wedding to-be and exactly three from the very same day when he tried to sabotage it the first time. That didn't go down too well, because let's face it, he wasn't just dealing with an ex-Braizen who was namely his mother, was he? He was also dealing with a [********] Paterson, which is practically a bloody Millson yet with a different name just to try and throw you off the track. By trying to get Mr. Paterson, Seth Paterson's arrogant father, to dump the woman he claimed to now love, Damon only happened to bring the dreaded wedding date sooner. Even blackmail didn't work with the man, which was surprising because normally it did. Though maybe he underestimated the old fool here and maybe the idiot was actually willing enough to marry the ungrateful little golddigger blindedly. 'Of course it was money. It just had to be money. I mean look at him? Why would she want to be with that?' The man was ugly to him, but then so was Jasper, because he would never ever admit that Jasper had any good qualities about him. Since all plans failed and because he knew that there was no other option, Damon Braizen waited and waited, biding his precious time for weeks until he could drop the huge bombshell that would ruin everything. He did it today, oh yes he did it today and he did it brilliantly. The best thing is, nobody had been none the wiser and Damon had managed to get away unscathed.
DAMONBRAIZENNow what exactly had Damon Braizen gone and done to put an end to this whole thing? Well it had been something which is probably the most horrible and selfish thing that he'd ever done in his life, and to his mother. He had blackmailed someone as well as bribed them; offering to help them in return for them doing something incredibly scandalous and degrading. It had been a twisted and a rather ******** up offer, but it was necessary as well as was important that this wedding should not be allowed to happen. How Damon set it up went something a little something like this. "I believe you owe me a favour, not to mention money." Damon said to the person who he had met with secretly in a undisclosed area. "I know Damon, but money has been a bit tight and I'm currently struggling to survive. I do mean to pay you back but it's my daughter... she's, she's not well." Was that fear in the fools voice that he heard then? Damon believed that it was, and just hearing it made him smile. "Vincent, I know well of your money situation, and of your daughter. He told him, letting out a slight frustrated sigh. "In fact the only reason I have come here now, is because I have a proposition for you, and one that will help you repay me for oh-I-don't-know everything." Again Damon smiled, but this time it had been more of cunning and evil smirky smile. Did the other really think that Damon Braizen wouldn't keep tabs on someone that owed him a lot of money, and on someone that used to be of great use, not to mention even slightly a friend of his father? How incredilby clueless and lame could this one insignificant person be? To assume something as ridiculous as this. Rolling his eyes, Damon frowned at the other's perplexed expression completely, then more importantly he continued to explain further about what he was offering. "There is something I need handled with great care. It is to be delt with before Friday night. If you agree, then I will pay for your child's entire treatment, your debt to me will be cleared effective immediately, and you can continue on with your life."
DAMONBRAIZENThinking on it all now as he sat there in his chair at the far end of the beautifully decorated room waiting for the speeches; he thought about how almost everything didn't run so smoothly. Boy had he been lucky, but then luck had nothing to do with it; it was all down to style. His style. Damon's father, Marcus Braizen, had confronted him about the whole thing the night before the wedding and Damon remembered how he had thought then that this was it; his whole plan had fallen through and that this was the end. Although it wasn't, and it hadn't been because he had gotten away unscathed and now it was just a family scandal secret. He looked up from staring at his glass when he heard Katy talking on the stand. He hadn’t noticed her go up there, but now that she was up there he was actually drawn away from his thoughts and pulled into the beauty which was here. This is going to be entertaining He mused to himself, a smirk tugging at the side of his lips as he heard her claim that this wedding was the oddest she's ever been to. His dark brown eyes were focused directly upon her, giving her his utmost attention as she caught his attention even more after she started talking about him. What the hell? He frowned, when he heard where the conversation was going. His eyes slowly darkend; he looked at Trinity out of the corner of his eye while continuing to listen to Katy. Fist were clenching and he picked up his glass and downed it. The b***h was avoiding his gaze and he could see across her face that the whole thing Katy was telling everyone was true. He was angry, very angry. As he turned his head to the other side he could see Jasper. ********' Jasper! The very man who looked just as guilty as Trinity did. Only he was the man who didn't give a ******** anyone but himself clearly. Damon was seething so much by the time this was over, though he didn't say a word to anyone and for once he didn't do anything. He looked at those that were looking at him with his very pissed off scowl fixed in place. This was just the perfect way to be humilated and dear old Katy had learnt obviously from the best. He sighed, not wanting to be at this pathetic good for nothing wedding any longer. His eyes glanced around at everybody as he stood up to walk away; it happened just as Katy was starting to walk off the stand. Even though a small part of him may have liked to, he didn't wait to see her. He couldn’t see her for as of right now he was hurting.
DAMONBRAIZENHow he felt was incredibly difficult to describe. Humilated, angry, stressed and now in pieces; this was a moment that he knew he would never forget; this was a moment that secret brought him down. He walked and walked to a place down the road; it was far, but then wasn’t that far when he was angry. His eyes ignored the scenery around him; not paying attention to one thing as he was completely numb from the announcement. His stare was dark and piercing as he looked ahead. He knew where he was going and wasn’t planning on wasting another minute. Apart from being hurt and angry, there was something inside of him that was relieved. As much as he loved Trinity and had been happy, now he was free to do what he wanted. He didn’t have to be concerned about someone else as he could just focus on only what he wanted again. And what he wanted now was shots and beer; he ordered two and a bottle when he stepped into the place he had intended to get to. The place was a bar; a pub, which happened to be quiet and old-fashioned. He was known, respected and well looked after. Inside the bar there were leather sofas - something which made it look a lot more modern than it was. I guess you could say it was a mix between the past and the present for they liked to keep a lot of things the same but also update and change. He took one of them – one of the shots that was - and he was about to down it when someone swept in beside him. Naturally he was startled by this other; he lowered the shot back down as his eyes formed a glare upon seeing this person; this woman, Katy. It had to be her, his new stalker. She was here; having downed the other shot and ordered two before he could say no to her even having it.
DAMONBRAIZEN“Don’t look at me like that,” She snapped at him, irriating him to the point where he sighed, turned away, downed the shot and tried not to say anything that would make this worse. “You know, I didn’t wanna tell you like that, but… come on, it’s me, I couldn’t tell you any other person on earth without making a ******** a** of myself. That was the easiest way to do it so that nobody judged me, D. You know it.” His face was still pulled into a glare and he stared ahead and then there she was, bitching at him for being hostile against her and moody. “[********, Damon. Grow up. She was a b***h, I told you that from day ******** one.” Eyebrows pulling into a frown, Damon was very displeased with her words. “That's right, you did... but you seem to forget that I knew who she was, and exactly what I was getting myself into when I first became involved with her,” He stated, which was completely the truth. Pausing for thought, he raised his eyebrows all of a sudden and looked back at her with an expression that pretty much said quit bothering him. “Honestly, I'm not surprised by her actions.” He lied, taking one of her shots since she'd previously done the same to him. Downing it quickly, he slammed it back down on the counter and then turned his position completely around to face her. “Your actions on the other hand, bother me.”
DAMONBRAIZENAnd then she was changing the subject on him, which he wouldn't have minded - since she wasn't the worst company in the world - except it was something that didn't exactly thrill him. “If you do not come dance with me right now, I will make you pay ten times over, you know it. Come on, Damon. Dance with me…” He didn't want to dance with her. He was in no flippin' mood for it. Yet what did that matter anyway, eh? It was like what he wanted mattered at that point. He wasn't even allowed to sit here and brood alone. Feeling her lips pressed against his neck, sent shivers down his spine. The way she pulled him up from his seat, dragging him towards the empty open floor, was undoubtedly annoying. Damon grumbled, letting out a groan when she started working her moves against him. “Not that I don't enjoy your company, but is this really necessary?” He blurted. Another sigh slipped from his mouth as he tried to get away at first, but she was very persuading. Her hands were everywhere and although he was against it, he found himself following through with it. He placed her hands on her hips, giving her a tiny half-hearted smile as he considered everything, and then opened his mouth to speak. “Ugh fine. One dance, but that's it.” He muttered. And this was only going to be one dance, he was going to make sure of it.
