At Rina's politeness, Kisuke just laughed and threw a hand behind his head.
"How sweet! But please, no need for the formalities here," he said warmly. Kisuke had always been a pretty laid-back person; he didn't see the need for such uptightness. However, that chill attitude didn't mean he wasn't paying attention; he knew that Renji had something serious to ask. Tactfully, he thought of a way to gain a moment of privacy.
"Why don't you three go ahead and make yourselves comfy in the back? I need to go prepare your gigais if you plan on strolling around town," he told the newcomers and pointed in the direction of the living room, which was behind the main shop down a hall closed off by another sliding door.
Oh, Tessai-saaan~" Kisuke yelled, hand cupped around his mouth. The door that led to the rest of his home slid open immediately, and a rather large man with cornrows and glasses sat bowed on his knees at the hallway entrance.
"If you would prepare four cups of tea after you escort our guests, that would be lovely." And with that, Tessai politely led Rina, Ikkaku, and Yumichika down the hall.
"Renji, you can help me carry the gigais..." he said less cheerfully, that glimmer of knowing in his eyes as turned to look at Renji. He followed the others down the hall but turned to a corridor in the opposite direction.
The newcomers were no real surprise to Kisuke, as Renji probably already knew. Yoruichi always kept him up to date about the people of the Seireitei, and Kisuke had his eyes on the world above without her help. Once they were in Kisuke's private laboratory where he did most of his research, he slid the door closed and crossed his arms.
"So what-- or who is my favorite freeloader thinking about today?" he asked slyly, his hat shading his eyes in the already dimly lit room.
