Sora wasn't expecting Kairi to suddenly land on his crotch. He likewise blushed, and seemed unable to figure out what to do with himself. "Uhm... you okay?" he asked with embarrassment.

"Heads up, incoming!" said Riku through the viewscreen.

Sora was so busy being flustered over Kairi that he forgot that they were facing an enormous battleship. It started firing on them, and their ship took on some damage before Sora managed to maneuver it out of range. "Kairi," he said quickly. "Try to shoot at it, I'm going for the tail!"

Sora made the ship dive, and made it follow along the underbelly of the massive ship, heading for the tail. Riku, Donald and Goofy flanked him, providing cover fire and extra support for the attack.

Kairi

"Two Hearts One Destiny"

I think more are moving in on us Sora!" she yelled as she shot at some of them hoping Riku or Donald and Goody would try and back around to get them so she could continue after the tail of whatever this thing was.

Sure enough, there were pursuit ships hot on their tail. They decided to break formation in order to out-maneuver the lazers that were being shot in their direction. On their viewscreen, they could see the massive Dark Dreadnaught take on damage from their first pass. It's tail erupted into a series of explosions, and then was detached from it's body completely.

"Alright Kairi!" said Sora, giving her a high five. Then he sent their ship into a series of dives and twists to avoid the ships chasing them.

"What's that?" said Riku, communicating through the viewscreen. The Dark Dreadnaught's mouth had opened, and there was a collection of purple energy pooling into its mouth. It only took a few moments to realize what it was. "Look out!" shouted Riku.

A massive, purple beam shot out from the maw of the Dark Dreadnaught, and it swept across space like a searchlight. Everything that it touched was immediately incinerated. Sora tried to maneuver their ship out of the way, but they were too slow. The back end of their ship took on heavy damage, and they were losing air quickly through cracks in the hull.

"Riku! Donald, Goofy!" yelled Sora into the comlink. Unfortunately, their communications had gone completely dead thanks to the power loss. Their ship was starting to fall, it was caught in the gravity of one of the nearby planets.

"Hang on Kairi," said Sora. "We gotta land!"

Kairi's eyes grew wide as the ship began to fall. She went back to the viewscreen and punched with her fists a couple of times but it just went to static. "I'm too young to die Sora!" she yelled at him as she strapped herself back into her seat before something completely bad could happen. "We'll think of a way to get back to the others once we land. So land us without killing us!"

"I'm trying!" said Sora in a panicy voice. Their ship shuddered and the console lit up with several alarms as they barreled through the atmosphere of an unknown world. Sora told Kairi to "Hang on!" while he steered the ship to the safest landing spot that he could find.

Luckily for them, any landing spot was a good landing spot. As soon as they broke through the clouds, they found themselves facing an endless expanse of flat land. The gummi ship touched down on a grassy knoll, and when Sora deployed the retros to slow their forwards speed, there was an explosion behind them from the engines. Sora was knocked forwards from the force, but thankfully did not his his head on the console thanks to the seat restraints.

He was knocked out immediately, and he slumped in his seat with his eyes closed. The gummi ship was quickly filling with smoke thanks to a fire that was beginning to rage.

Ironically, it looked peaceful outside as compared to the chaos that was happening in the ship. They had landed on what appeared to be a crossroad, which stretched out in four directions. In the distance, an odd looking castle with rooftops that stretched in odd, jagged directions, towered over the flat plains.

Kairi sat there in shock that she was still alive and glanced over at Sora who didn't look too good. The gummi ship was filling with smoke and fast. Kairi quickly got herself out of her restraints and quickly went over to Sora and unhooked him. "God you weigh a ton!" she yelled trying to pull him off the ship before the whole thing decided it wanted to blow up. Kairi managed to get them out...some-what safely since Sora was knocked out cold and dragged him away far enough so that if the ship did decided to completely blow they would be fine.

Kairi looked up at the crossroads and then toward the weird looking castle with a queasy feeling sweeping itself in her stomach. "I hope the others are okay." she said looking back down at Sora.

The sky overhead rumbled with thunder. Soon, droplets of water were falling all over the fields, drenching the two pilots that had escaped the wreck. Sora felt the wetness on his face, and he came around with a soft moan.

"K..Kairi?" he murmured. Sora opened his eyes, and after a few moments, Kairi's face came into sharp focus. "Did you save me again?" he asked with a soft smile. Sora pushed up from the grass to get into a sitting position. The boy looked over his shoulder at the ship, and saw that it was steadily burning, but thankfully not exploding.

"We better get out of this rain," he said with a shiver. The only shelter that was available was the castle in the distance. It looked strangely familiar to Sora, but he couldn't put his finger on why that was.

Kairi stared down at him once he came to and smiled. "You should probably take it easy." she said before he sat up. "And yes I did." she said proudly at her act of yet again, saving his butt from harm. Kairi didn't notice the rain until she saw the drops on Sora's face. "Uhm...yeah let's get out of this." she said taking one last look at the ship. It was starting to make a popping noise as one of the seats flew out of the top of the craft. "That's not good." she said getting up off the ground and extending her hand out to him. "Come on." she said looking up at the creepy castle with a slight shudder. "I wonder if the others made it out safely." a bit of hope in her voice.

Sora got to his feet with Kairi's help, and he looked at their spaceship with dismay. "They're with Riku, so I'm sure that they made it out okay," said Sora. Optimistic as always.

They made their way to the strange looking castle. Once they arrived at the door, Sora knocked to see if anyone would answer. "Hello! Anybody home? We just want to get out of the rain."

There was no answer. Sora exchanged a look with Kairi, and then he tried the doorknob. To his surprise, the door opened easily. They stepped inside into a room with stark white walls and statues. Sora let out a breath when he saw it all.

"I think.. I was here before," said Sora. "But I don't know why." He shivered from his damp clothing. "I don't think that anybody is home. This place feels empty."

Kairi shrugged when they got into the castle when Sora looked back at her. "Who would live here anyways? It doesn't seem like a home. Seems more like a prison to me." she said hugging herself to try and get warm. "I wonder where we are exactly....." she walked forward a little then looked back at Sora. "Wouldn't surprise me if you have been here. You've been everywhere remember?" she smiled and then waited to go any farther than she already was. She didn't feel right. Something about this place seemed dead, like nothing about even seemed real.
