xxxxKiko would have been nuts if she tried to deny there was some sort of change in her feeling and the pace of her heartbeat as Aleks drew closer to her, touched her. There was no doubt she felt something for the man, but whether or not she was able to admit any of that or get comfortable with it was neither here no there. She side stepped from Aleks, giving him a playful look, "You practically read my mind."

xxxxKeiko couldn't help but sigh a little at her sister and Aleks. They had just come from a battle against a new enemy that seemed pretty strong and was a traitor of their cause, yet all they could think about was food? She expected that much from her sister, but apparently Aleks and her were more alike than she originally thought. She smiled a nodded, "I'm sure I can whip something together." and off to the kitchen she went.

Kesiom only followed Keiko into the kitchen, laughing in his head at how eerily similar the other two were. Looking into the fridge, he pulled out a few items, handing them over to Keiko so she could make something. After all, the senshi was the one who did all the cooking. While it did make him feel bad, there wasn't anything he could do about it even if he wanted to. He literally had absolutely no culinary experience what so ever. What was the phrase? He could burn water? Yeah, something like that. He figured sandwiches were easy enough, so he finished it off by pulling down some bread from the cupboard and only helped Keiko if she asked, which she rarely did.

Aleks couldn't stop the coy grin that came across his face as Kiko pulled away. He could tell it wasn't because of her not wanting to be near him...it was her way of saying it was something she wasn't used to, but found herself enjoying none the less. "Well, I'm obviously a mind reader," he said, sticking his tongue out slightly as he turned to walk towards the table. Out of instinct, he made sure to pull a chair out for Kiko before sitting himself, trying his hardest not to stare at the girl. He wanted to keep himself busy at the moment, but another pair of hands in the kitchen would only cause trouble, so instead he decided to focus on not thinking about Kiko, something he was finding terribly hard to do at the moment.

xxxxKeiko took a peek into their fridge before decidind fried bologna sandwiches was the best she could muster up on such short notice. Kesiom grabbed the few things she needed for her, which she thanked the man for with a kiss on his cheek, before heading to grab a pan from beneath her small stove. She reached above the burners in the little cabinet there for where she kept her olive oil, placing just enough in the pan before bringing it up to heat. She wasn't all that great at cooking, never claimed to be, but she did enjoy experimenting and playing around with different tastes. She could stumble upon a delicious recipe by accident and never know how to remake it, but she did at least know he way around a kitchen.

xxxxKiko followed to other to the kitchen, deciding she would be of no used in the kitchen either. If Kesiom couldn't cook, Kiko didn't even know what the word meant. Knowing her, just walking into the kitchen would cause it to blow up. She gave Aleks a nod of her head as he pulled her seat out for her, something she was still getting used to but she knew he was only doing it out of politeness. Not because he felt she couldn't on her own. After a moment of sitting there, she spoke up, "You were pretty impressive in battle." Kiko complimenting on a battle was normal conversation with her, and a compliment like that one wasn't something she dished out to just anybody.

Kesiom only grinned a little when he received his thank you, something he always loved about the girl. She said thank you in the most subtle ways, but it spoke louder than words in his heart.

Aleks' attempt to keep his mind off of Kiko were quickly interrupted by the girl herself, turning to look at her as she spoke. Rolling his eyes, he just waved his hand in the air. "You're just saying that to make me feel better since you had to save my a**," he said sarcastically. In reality though, he hated that he had to rely on Kiko in that time when he was the one sent to protect her, not the other way around. He had to say it was one thing that sucked about being a light user, that was for sure, especially since their enemy had such an encompassing attack that wasn't easily avoided. He'd definitely have to figure out a way to avoid that again.

As Keiko finished the sandwiches up, Kesiom grabbed a few plates down, letting the girl load them onto the plates before walking over and setting them down in front of the two. Out of instinct, Aleks flinched slightly as Kesiom neared him, then just sighed at his own movement, knowing there was no way everyone in the room could have missed it. "Sorry...just a natural reaction. I'm amazed at how Keiko can stand being so close to you being of the light element too, no offense..." he said, picking the sandwich up and taking a bite as to stop his mouth from talking any further. Kesiom just walked back over to Keiko, wrapping his arm around her waist. "No offense taken," he said, then looked at Keiko. "Can't say I know the answer to that either..." he said, a confused look on his face. While he knew how she felt for him, it was odd she didn't feel uncomfortable around him in the way of their elements clashing. Kesiom just assumed every light user must be different apparently.

xxxxKiko shook her head, insisting "I'm being serious. You have speed and agility, you were just taken by surprise. Which is ok considering he surprised us." Sure he had a little run in with some flames but he was strong and still sitting next to her, wasn't he?

xxxxKeiko made sure each person had a sandwich and some pretzels before letting Kesiom take the plates out. She followed behind him, a smile on her face as she noticed Kiko immediately grab a handful of pretzels. They were her favorite. She also noted, however, Aleks' flinch at Kesiom being near. She was going to say something in return to Aleks but Kiko beat her to it. "I don't understand it either." Hers was in a far more bitter tone. While Aleks obviously meant to offense, Kiko did. The other twin scowled, "Do you mind not being such a prude?"

xxxx"Would you mind not dating a guy who's dark and has no control and could kill you?" her sister opened her mouth to say something but Kiko was already in a mood, there was no stopping it now, "No Keiko, you know I'm right. He's dangerous and I'm sick of acting like he's not. Either he shapes the ******** up, or he's done." Whatever she meant by 'done' was up in the air, but it for certain didn't mean something good. The entire time she watched her sister, knowing full well she was speaking as if Kesiom wasn't there even though he was in her peripheral vision. Keiko went very quiet, her lips taunt and her eyes trained to her sister. And then, after a few tense moments of silence, she walked past the group and to the door, opening it to step aside and present the other senshi with it. The two exchanged glances, Kiko shooting Kesiom a dark look before leaving the apartment without a word. Keiko wasn't about to stand there and defend herself, the man she loved, in her own home. Kiko acted like she knew exactly what went on but she had no idea. There was a connection they shared that over-powered anything and everything else, her sister couldn't see that and Keiko was beginning to fear she never would.

Kesiom remained where he was, not responding in any way to the words Kiko was throwing at him like daggers. Normally, words like that would effect him, upset him, but he had changed by the very person Kiko wanted him to stay away from. He also knew...there was truth behind them. There was always the chance Keiko wouldn't be able to bring him back from his darkness, that he could hurt the woman he loved in a moment of lost control, and it was something he strived every day to try and control. He would never forgive himself if he ever did something to her. None the less, he let Keiko loose from his grip as she made her way to the door, opening and ushering for Kiko to leave. Meeting the fire senshi's glare one more time, he watched as she stormed out, maintaining his emotionless face.

Aleks just bit his lip as he watched the fight escalate between the two, hoping to the heavens it wouldn't get any worse. Keiko eventually decided she had enough though, and with one last glare Kiko got up and left, and Aleks figured it was his motion to also leave. Smiling nervously, he stood up and nodded to the two before following Kiko outside. Racing to catch up to her, he grabbed her shoulder, turning her to face him. "Stop and breath for a second..." he said calmly. He wasn't about to tell her to stop acting the way she was because at the moment it was possibly the stupidest thing he could do, but he hopefully could get her to calm down.

Kesiom watched as Keiko closed the door, simply walking over and wrapping his arms around her waist from behind. "I'm sorry..." he whispered in her ear, his guilt in the few words. He absolutely hated that the twins fought because of him, that he caused Keiko to fight and get upset over him. Kesiom knew she would refuse to admit to what Kiko saying being true, but he knew it was, and until he could somehow change it, they would keep fighting.

xxxxKiko knew, for whatever reason, her sister had become quite attached to Kesiom. There was nothing she could do about that. And she wasn't an idiot, she could see how happy the man made Keiko. But she could not forget just how he had hurt her sister in the past, and what little control he had over the very energy that threatened to destroy all of them, the same darkness that was infecting Aleks. He had hurt Sno, and with Keiko's blind love for the man, she would let herself be hurt before anything bad happened to Kesiom. She would deny it until the day she died, but Kiko didn't like fighting with her sister. It was tiresome and she never wanted to make the girl upset. But this was something she could not simply let go. Instead of egging the situation on any further, she just left.

xxxxFor some reason, she knew Aleks would follow her out. It normally would have annoyed the ******** out of her, but instead, as he turned her to face him, she felt just a bit more relaxed. She was by no means happy again, but she didn't feel like punching a hole through the nearest wall. "I can't just pretend this doesn't bother me. I've tried just dealing with it but...you haven't seen him loose control." Watching her sister embrace a man enveloped in shadow, spikes and spines all over his body to the point he didn't even look human...She shook her head, "He's an wolf in sheep's clothing." After a moment, she turned away from Aleks and continued down the stairs and back out to the street, hoping he would follow. She wasn't going to go back to her sister. Not now. They would only fight more. Instead she would go back home, play some video games, and calm down.

xxxxThe light senshi could feel tears p***k at her eyes but not enough to make her actually start to cry. Her sister was half of her, and when they didn't get along it never felt right. But this was not something she wouldn't stand up for. She hoped Aleks didn't harbor any bad feelings because of this, but she was glad when the man decided to leave and follow her sister. She shook her head gently as Kesiom apologized, "You have nothing to apologize for." Keiko knew full well the responsibilities that came with the relationship she had with Kesiom and dealt with them regardless. "She acts like I don't know what I'm doing. I'm not a child."

xxxxImmediately as she finished her sentence, the room got warmer. Not just a small gust of hot air, but considerably warmer. Keiko's brows furrowed and she looked around, as if a fire had started somewhere. Did she forget to turn the stove off? There was no fire, and yet she could feel sweat begin to bead on her forehead. There was a clicking sound that came from the door; it had locked itself. The hair on the back of the girl's neck stood on end, and she instinctively took a step backward into Kesiom. "Kiko?" She knew it wasn't her sister and yet she couldn't stop the hopeless question. There was a deep, throaty laugh that erupted in the room, sounding as if it came from everywhere at once. "Wrong. Guess again?"

Aleks simply sighed as he quickly followed Kiko down the steps. She was right about him not knowing the full extent of the situation, but at the same time, Aleks could simply tell how raw the man's energy was just by being around him. The fact that it bugged him just being within' a few feet of the other meant it was more unbridled than other dark energies he had encountered. Kiko was just feeling protective of her sister, that was the long and short of it. Catching up with her in the street, Aleks just simply rubbed Kiko's back for a second, deciding not to say anything, hoping just being there would do something for the upset senshi.

Kesiom just frowned slightly. "I understand...it just hurts me to see you two fight because of me..." he said, just as he felt the temperature change in the room too. Kesiom let out a heavy breath, the very heat causing a breath in to be almost unpleasant. As the door locked and Keiko pushed back into him, Kesiom held her close, looking around the room as he felt the dark energy start rolling across the apartment along with the heat. It was familiar...he had felt the energy source once long ago. When the girl tried calling out to see if it was her sister and the voice rumbled across the room almost on the heat, his eyes scanned the room even faster. He definitely recognized the voice...but he still couldn't quite place when he remembered hearing it. This time though, if it was a fight this enemy wanted, he would keep his promise; he wouldn't let a thing touch the girl in his arms. "Lets not play games...show yourself!" Kesiom demanded.

xxxxThe last thing Keiko wanted to deal with right now was this. Her sister just got back from her own battle, bleeding profusely, they just got into a fight, and now he's back for more? But they were senshi, there was no time to be upset about the never-ending struggle. There was yet another laugh as Kesiom demanded whoever had just appeared to show himself. Keiko's eyes were darting around like mad, trying to find the source of this sudden dark energy and heat but all she could see was her own apartment.

xxxxAs she turned her head back to Kesiom, a dark heat wrapped itself around her neck. A shadow had sprung from the wall, come to life and grabbed the senshi, the same thing happening behind Kesiom. It shot forward with blinding speed, wrapping firmly around the man's wrists and neck. Without warning they jerked backward, sending them both flying into opposite sides of the wall, pinning them there with the dark energy. Keiko could see Kesiom across from her, panic in her eyes. That was when he showed himself. As if he had been there the entire time, he walked out from the far corner of the room from the shadow, his hood pulled down and his hands calmly entended toward the darkness binding them. He turned to look over in Kesiom's direction, a faint smile peeking out from beneath his hood, "Good to see you again, boy. Mum sends her pleasant's." His tone was nothing but sarcasm as he let the same sickly green flame lick at his wrists and neck where he was bound for a few moments. "Stop it!" Keiko shouted at him, pulling as hard as she could muster at the shadow around her neck. It would not come free, despite using her own energy to try and weaken it. This man was powerful, and it scared her.

xxxxHe turned his gaze to the girl, taking a few steps in her direction, "This must be the healer." he stood there for a moment, bringing a hand to his chin as if pondering what he wanted to do. "I can't have you going around bringing everybody back to life, now can I? I have a job to do. You're in the way." he raised a hand, and the binding around Keiko's neck became tighter. She could feel her throat close as she gasped for breath. Each time she tried to breathe her throat went tighter, and eventually her vision began to double.

Kesiom only noticed the shadows too late, and in the next second he was flung back, smashing into the wall with a sickening thud. It pushed the air out of him, and as he saw the man step forward, he attempted to pull from the restraints as their enemy spoke. This was obviously the man Kiko and Aleks had fought, and killed him to see Keiko so panicked. His mind was quickly torn into pain though when the fire erupted around his shackles. While of course the darkness did nothing, the fire certainly burned, but he only cringed, not giving the a*****e the pleasure of his pain.

As it finally died away though with Keiko yelling for the man to stop, Kesiom looked up through one eye only to see that the enemy's attention had turned to her. He felt his anger boiling up in him as he began to strangle her, and through gritted teeth spoke. "You think you're the only one who can play with shadows?" Kesiom growled, closing his eyes and with one breath in, the shadows restraining him suddenly absorbed into his skin, the blackness spreading across his body. His eyes temporarily flashed black as he caught his balance, and with the burst of energy the darkness he had absorbed gave, he transported next to Keiko, absorbing the shadows that were binding her also. Now, if he fought though, his transformation would wildly transgress into the further stages, so he made it a point to concentrate on holding his transformation back. Pushing his hand out in front of Keiko, he took up a defensive stance in front of her, ignoring the burns tingling where his restraints had been. "If you know that wretched woman, then you know who I am...I recommend you leave us alone..." Kesiom said, his eyes unwavering with the hatred he had for this man for trying to hurt Keiko.

xxxxJust as she felt herself loose grip on consciousness, the restraints around her throat seemed to disappear and she could breathe again. She gasped, coughing a few times as she felt cool air rush into her lungs like a tornado. She blinked, trying to clear her vision as she saw Kesiom standing in front of her. The burns on his wrists and neck were probably not very comfortable but he would ignore everything until this man was gone. She reached out to take a gentle hold of one of his wrists, quickly pushing a little magic into the wound to at least alleviate some pain, all the while keeping her eyes locked on this man.

xxxxHe did not seem at all phased as Kesiom did away with his restraints. He did, however, seem very displeased at the comment he made about his own mother. His mouth went slack, "The only wretched woman I know is the one you're so feebly protecting." he extended a hand to point at Keiko, just to make sure there was no confusion. "You think you're so strong, boy. But you are a child throwing a tantrum." The shadow beneath Kesiom grew bigger, and got darker in color. A small circle of darkness pooled at his feet, and suddenly the floor vanished in a puff of green smoke, a substance much like a cross between quick sand and lava now beneath Kesiom's feet in it's place. He no doubt began to sink in it, causing Keiko to shriek. She went to grab for him to help him out, but another wisp of shadow had circled around her ankle, yanking her in the opposite direction of Kesiom and back toward the wall. She felt herself being forced back to her feet as frantic fingers tried reaching for her dagger. A sharp pain erupted through her right shoulder before she could grab hold of her weapon, and she stared down to see a shadow-like rod had pierced her through. A similar shadow weapon appeared behind Kesiom, ready to drive him through as well. The man meanwhile had his hands raised, bony fingers controlling the madness with a sadistic grin on his face.

Kesiom just felt a growl emit from his throat as he felt the light tingle across the skin on his wrist. Just before he meant to say something as a thanks, he felt himself suddenly begin sinking into the ground. His transformation was just moments from exploding, and with the amount of darkness in him and his anger level, there was a likely chance he would skip levels one and two and erupt right into his third stage, something he didn't want to happen, not now. As he heard Keiko shriek though, as he felt her being pulled away, he felt the locks fall from the cage holding in the power. "s**t..." was the last thing before a whirlwind of shadows erupted from where Kesiom had been, filling the entire room. As they died down, Kesiom suddenly burst from them towards the man, his third transformation in full swing like he had predicted, his claymore covered in the dark barbs as he brought down towards the man in front of him with the insane speed his third transformation brought. "Lets see how far my tantrum gets me," he spat out.

The only attack Kesiom worried about from this man was anything fire based. Shadow attacks would simply absorb into his armor in this stage, but none the less, no matter the attacks, he had to take him down quickly. If he could get him fast enough, he would hopefully be able to pull himself from the transformation, and it was one less moment Keiko was in danger.

xxxxThe pain she felt was excruciating, but Keiko still found herself focusing on Kesiom and this strange enemy. She could see the shadows engulf Kesiom and he emerged as the beast he was trained to be, and her heart sank. She tried to call out to him but her voice cracked and she winced. The rod still stuck through her shoulder, the back end going right through the wall to keep her pinned there.

xxxxFor a moment, it seemed like the man was taken by surprise. There was a soft flinch in his face as Kesiom launched and he remained still, as if he didn't have enough time to react. The barbed weapon came down upon his form, but like when Kiko tried before, he dispersed in shadow. Along with him went the hole in the floor, and the shadows holding Keiko to the wall. The senshi immediately fell to her knees as soon as she was free, reaching up a hand to clasp the open wound beneath her shoulder. Despite the pain, she looked up to see Kesiom still transformed, still surrounded in darkness. She pressed both palms flat on the floor and heaved herself to her feet, biting her lip to keep a painful cry at bay."K...Kes....Not again, please." Blood trailed down her arm, dripping from her fingers to the floor below as she attempted a few steps toward him. She didn't know if she could bring him back this time, not in her current state. She could start healing herself sure, but Keiko couldn't focus on anything but making sure Kesiom was back to his normal state of mind because she couldn't do this without him.

As Kesiom's weapon came down and dispersed the shadow clone in front him, he immediately felt the same growl emit from his throat. Kesiom thankfully hadn't lost complete control of his mind yet, tunring to see Keiko as his heart sank at what she was doing. He didn't want to have to depend on her to bring him back, not this time, not when he could tell she was injured but not healing herself because of him. Holding his own hand up to his chest, he closed his eyes for a few moments, and began pulling at the darkness in his own body. Soon, he had managed to begin pulling towards the center of his body, and with one last push forced his transformation down, a cough emitting from his mouth, a line of blood running down his chin. He had done what he wasn't sure was possible, but it had injured him internally as a result.

Wiping the blood away, he quickly ran over to Keiko, holding her as he kneeled to the ground gently with her, ignoring the pain of whatever part of his insides just got ******** up from what he did. "Heal yourself, now..." he said frantically, pushing hair back from her face. He felt his heart tearing up, probably both figuratively and literally. She was in pain, and it was something he couldn't stand seeing. Her blood was falling through his fingers that was supporting her, and for the first time in his entire life, Kesiom felt the p***k of tears in the back of his eyes. "Please..." he said more softly, the desperation layered in his voice.

xxxxSomething was going on. Exactly what, Keiko wasn't sure, but she could tell Kesiom was changing. He seemed concentrated and quiet for a long moment, and then when he opened his eyes again to look her way, she could see his face and his alone. He seemed a bit beat up but, as usual, he ignored it and came beside her. She let him lower them both to their knees, reaching up her arm to clasp the wound at her shoulder.

xxxxShe could feel the desperation in him, even if she hadn't heard it in his voice. She nodded softly and let her eyes close, concentrating her energy. Her hand began to heat up and her shoulder began to tingle as the skin rapidly healed over. She held long enough to close the wound, not wanting to put too much stain on herself to try and heal over the scarring process as well. She let her hand fall back to her side when she was finished, leaning her tired body into Kesiom's, "M'not going anywhere." she murmured against his chest, knowing the thing they both feared most was the other leaving them. She let the magic she had left in her coarse through her body, her entire figure seeming to vibrate and glow as she pushed her power into Kesiom.
