xxxxShe couldn't help but flinch slightly as he yelled. He was stuck in what he felt he had to do, she wasn't going to be able to change his mind. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't.

xxxxKeiko knew she shouldn't be feeling bad for this man. He was out to kill her sister after all. But she couldn't help it. Her voice went tender, quieter, "Have you ever tried? You could start a life here. Your life is yours to make, your mother can't decide that for you." The only reason he was out to kill Kiko was his mother. Keiko had thought he was evil for the sake of being evil but there was much more to it than that.

Kesiom just looked at her with bewilderment. He couldn't even really comprehend what she was saying...pretty much restart his life? Never go back to the darkness? "That wouldn't be possible..." he said quietly, frowning. "I know of nothing else...I wouldn't have any place to start. You...have people to depend on, I would have people chasing after me. I am the queen's son, I can't just throw that away..." Kesiom felt disheartened, and he didn't have any idea why he was experiencing half of these feelings.

xxxxKeiko knew the probability of Kesiom going against all he had known and starting a new life was slim, but the never ending optimist in her still held hope. But for now, he didn't appear to be phased. She sighed deeply, not quite sure why she felt defeated and upset. She had gotten what she needed in coming here, and yet she still felt like she had failed.

xxxx"We do what we must, I suppose." she said sadly, eyes casting downward to the floor. After a moment she looked back up at him. "Just know that my sister is strong. She will not hesitate in killing you to save her own life, and I will not stop her." Deep down, she didn't want to see Kesiom killed. She wanted him to leave them alone, yes, but she didn't want him dead. But Kiko would see to it he never harmed her or anyone else again.

Kesiom looked up at her...she had the same fiery spirit as her sister, like they shared the same spirit. Two girls, one soul. Kesiom stared down, and after thinking for a minute, spoke softly. "I care not for your sisters life, but...she is bonded to you. I know that no matter how I come at your sister, you will always be there next to her, ready to save her with the light you possess. In the end, I fear I will be dead no matter who does the killing, whether it be my own family because I disgraced them, or your sister, or even you. While I may not be able to change what I am, I do not wish to cause you any anguish..." Kesiom fidgeted, his fingers running over the slight scar her bite had caused on his lower lip. He decided to admit it, he obviously cared for this girl for reasons not even apparent to him, and in completing his mission would in essence destroy her also. "But I also cannot go back to my life from before. It was meaningless and empty, and I would rather be dead than live as a walking corpse once more..." He had said more than he should, and he knew it, but with what he had planned, he figured it wouldn't matter for long.

xxxxKeiko was indeed a part of her sister. The two were halves of each other. Kiko was the spirit and strength fire possessed, while Keiko was it's light, warmth, and life. There could not be one without the other. She couldn't even contemplate her life without her sister's, and she wouldn't be surprised if she died along with Kiko if the time ever came. The fact Kesiom realized all of this, though...it made her understand now why she had felt the way she did when they kissed. He was a child of circumstance. Raised with inadequacy and a thirst to prove his worth, no matter what the cost. His soul did not stem from darkness, it was infected with it. He had to have good in him somewhere. Or else she would not have come here in the first place.

xxxxStill, despite all of this, he proclaimed he was never going to change. Which meant Kiko was still in danger. "You do not wish me anguish, and yet you have already put me through it." Her amber eyes trembled a moment before she turned on her heels. "When we meet again, I won't show the mercy I did today. Do what you must, I will do the same." For some reason it pained Keiko to say this but it had to be said. She resisted the urge to look back and catch his expression and instead went for the door, giving it a hard slam behind her.

Kesiom only kept his mouth quiet as she spoke. He wouldn't receive any mercy, and then again, when had he ever? Her visit was not merciful, it only went further to destroy him, causing his mind to cloud over with feelings he had never had before. As he heard the door shut, his head swiveled over to the shadows as Alba walked from them. The look on her face was that of betrayal, but Kesiom wasn't afraid of her. No, he was afraid of the man standing behind her. A tall, thin white haired man walked from the shadows of the hallway, dressed in full dark crescent army gear. This man was his reigning officer, the man who had trained him since he could lift a sword. His name was Gabriel, and as he spoke, a dread fell over Kesiom. "You betray your own family for one who they are after?" he spoke quietly, but the authority he held range through his voice.

"I have not betrayed any-" Kesiom started, only to have Gabriel cut him off. "The girl is still alive isn't she? She walked from this room on her own will, but since you say you haven't betrayed anyone, then you obviously won't mind if I finish the job for you..." he said coldly, pulling his sword from it's sheath. Kesiom gritted his teeth, and his heart made the decision before his mind could stop it. "[******** you," Kesiom growled before standing up, his claymore appearing in his hand as he charged Gabriel. He wasn't at full strength, but he hoped to give Keiko time to regroup with her allies so that she would be safe in numbers before his own life was extinguished. "Fool," Gabriel whispered, stepping to the side as pain shot through Kesiom's shoulder, causing him to falter to the ground. Gabriel took the chance, not thinking twice about the boy he had trained his entire life, and stuck his sword into the boy's injured shoulder. Kesiom yelled as the sword went all the way through him, his blood dripping down the sword.

xxxxKeiko could feel the energy in the room fluctuate as she stormed down the hallway. It was probably just that girl Sno had said he was hanging around with. She was rubbing her watering eyes with the back of her sleeve when she felt the energy change again. Keiko wasn't the best at registering energy levels but this one was unmistakable. It was powerful, even more so than Kiko's and Sno's combined. It caused her to stop dead in her tracks and turn back toward the door. She stared at it, as if she would see the source of this energy materialize right behind her, but there was nothing except a horrific scream that could be heard through the entire floor. It was Kesiom.

xxxxShe didn't even think twice. She clutched her compact and transformed and bolted back toward his room, practically throwing herself through the door. She could hear Solar protest through the messenger bag, but it had been thrown off during her transformation. once in the room, she saw another man, the source of the boundless dark energy, and he had impaled Kesiom through the shoulder. Her lungs ceased up and she couldn't breathe for a moment. Where had he come from? Keiko reached for her hip and unsheathed her dagger from the hilt there, dropping into a fighting stance, "Release him at once!"

Kesiom watched as Keiko came back in, and her transformation into the beautiful senshi that she was. It was the exact opposite of what he was hoping she would do none the less. Gabriel looked over to the new visitor, smiling with pure evil. "So you're the one changing this boys heart...too bad you'll be de-" Gabriel was cut off as he flew against the wall, his sword skittering along the ground in the opposite direction. Kesiom's breathing was heavy and ragged, and he turned to look at Keiko as he pushed himself to his feet. His eyes were black as the night, and he looked like it was hard to stay in control at the moment. Blood seeped from the wound at an alarming rate, but in this state Kesiom didn't care. His emotions intensified when he began his transformation into the dark crescent prince, which made his power so dangerous. "Leave Keiko, I care too much for you too get hurt, and I won't be able to control myself soon," he said, just as his outfit materialized over his body. Black armor, black cape, and his claymore lit with what seemed to be black flames.

Alba watched the transformation, but didn't care for Kesiom anymore. He was an a**, and this girl was to blame for it. Alba ran forward, ducking around Kesiom, beelining it for Keiko. Before she even got within' 5 feet of her, Kesiom was in front of her, his speed astounding, his fist meeting with her stomach, sending her crashing into the wall on the opposite side of the room.

xxxxHis energy spike was frightening, Keiko would not deny that. But she was a child of her heart, and it was set on staying here and helping him. His sword was a negative image of Kiko's, it's black flames licking the air with malice. As intimidating as he was, she was not about to leave now. "You said before you have no one to depend on. Now you do."

Keiko braced herself for the other girl's attack, but it never came. Kesiom was in front of her, punching the girl in the stomach, sending her across the room. She hadn't even seen him move...

Alba grunted as she hit the wall, and with or without Gabriel, she was not going to fight the prince. He was stronger than anyone in the army at that point, and she knew it, so after pushing herself up, she glared at Kesiom and spoke as she vanished. "You know you won't get away with this..." Gabriel had finally recovered from Kesiom's energy blast, and looking at the prince before him, he almost bowed on instinct. No, this was a traitor, not the prince he once trained. Appearing next to his sword, he deftly picked it up and charged Kesiom at the same time, and the two fell into a sword match, the speed of their moves causing the very air to crackle. Eventually, the two stopped, and Kesiom had managed to get Gabriel to the ground, pointing the tip of his claymore at the man's neck. "You won't live long enough to tell anyone what has happened," Kesiom spoke as he brought the sword down through the man's chest, and instead of striking flesh and bone, it simply dispersed a shadow.

Kesiom growled at the sight, but his wound decided to catch up with him right then as he stumbled forward, barely catching himself from falling down. His sword remained in the floor, but he was unable to change back. Usually, his comrades helped him change back when he was forced to use his powers, but they were now his enemies. Keiko had spoken of how he could depend on her, but he found it hard to believe. Not after how he treated her, her sister...he fell to his hands and knees, his transformation making the wound worsen more quickly than normal.

xxxxKesiome had everything under control and yet Keiko still refused to leave his side. He was hurt, and she could help. He had protected her, after all. Admitted for caring about her. There was good in him. As the man on the floor vanished in smoke, she bit her tongue to keep from calling Kesiom's name as he stumbled to his knees.

xxxxSheathing her dagger, she ran to his side and knelt before him. She didn't care he seemed very unstable at the moment, the raw power coursing through him practically ripping him apart. "Don't move." both her hands raised as she pressed into the gaping wound in his shoulder. Like before, she closed her eyes, concentrating her energy into his wound. Her eyes were glowing white, brighter and brighter the more she concentrated. The sword had gone all the way through and blood was practically pouring out of him. If she didn't try and stop it now he would die. She could feel the energy leave her body, the glow in her eyes ever so slowly diminishing the more she used. The wound had barely even closed yet, she wasn't about to give up.

Kesiom reached up and grabbed Keiko's hand, stopping the magic. "You're...you're wasting your energy...my transformation will keep ripping...the wound open. I need to change before..." he faltered a little, releasing her hand as his other hand gave out, his body falling to the floor. He managed to roll himself over, and looked at Keiko. "You...you have an amazing talent. I never thought I could feel anything beyond anger, hatred, fury...you've caused something to change in my heart...and I thank you for that..." he spoke before coughing, a line of blood dripping down the side of his face from his mouth. He could feel his change coming, but there was still another wall he needed to be torn down, and he honestly didn't think he had enough to keep himself alive for that to happen.

xxxxShe was losing him, and there didn't seem to be anything she could do about it. What he was saying to her, it almost sounded likea goodbye. And then he was coughing blood. Keiko's heart sank. "No, no no no don't you die. I can help you, I can help you, let me help you." and yet she didn't know how she could. But she wanted to help so badly, it even surprised her. He had to change back but Keiko wasn't sure what he had changed into in the first place. How could she help? She was frantic, tears gathering in her eyes. Just yesterday this man had captured her, tried to kill her and Sno...but Keiko didn't see the same person she had then. Knowing how he felt, that he felt at all, made everything change. She would not turn her back on someone with a good heart and deep down Keiko knew he possessed one.

Kesiom was perplexed by this girl. She was almost crying, but just yesterday he had hurt her, captured her and tortured her. Someone...was someone genuinely caring for him? Kesiom wasn't sure, but he felt that last wall tumble down as his blood loss was almost getting too great. His clothes slowly faded back into just his sweatpants, and his eyes flashed back to the icy blue they were normally. For the first time here on earth...no, in his life, Kesiom smiled at Keiko, a genuine heart felt smile. He had someone to depend on, and just as he thought that, his back arched as the pain coursed through him once more. He only had a few minutes left as he gritted his teeth, his eyes rolling into the back of his head.

xxxxSomething she had said got through to him; he was transforming back into the boy who she had been speaking to a few minutes ago. Only much, much paler. He was loosing a lot of blood. She watched in horror as his eyes rolled back, and her urgency returned. Again she brought her hands up, throwing caution to the wind and using as much energy as she could muster to try and close up the wound, or at least get it to stop bleeding. As long as she could stop the bleeding, she kept telling herself, feeling her muscles scream and bones ache from the strain of her magic. It was convenient she had healing abilities but it always came at a price. It required immense concentration and energy depending on the severity of the wound, and this one was pretty intense.
