When motioned for to be silent, Akimoto didn't say a single word. In fact she kept quiet as she possibly could. It wasn't hard, especially with the fear she was feeling and the tension on the air. She wasn't even sure that she had made the sound of footsteps as she followed Haku down the hall.

Once they had gotten in his room and the door was closed, Akimoto felt a little safer, but there was still that uneasiness in the air. She watched Haku sit on the bed and he told her she would be safe here, but she was still very worried. The tension in the air was so thick... Akimoto crawled on to the bed and pulled Haku into a tight hug. She held him close and protectively. No one was going to hurt him, not on her watch!!

                                                      User Image

When Naruto saw Hinata grinning, he gave her a wide grin in return. His hug had helped after all!! He was glad that he could help her, in fact, he was pretty sure this was the first time he had ever seen her grin. He had no idea his hug would have that big of an effect, but he was glad that it did!!

Kiba couldn't help but grin himself at the situation in front of him. Maybe he was right after all, maybe the blonde had stared cluing in. Then there was the fact that Hinata was grinning, Kiba never once had seen her grin like that before. Seeing her this happy was something special and it made Kiba feel warm and fuzzy inside. When Hinata turned to ask him if Akamaru was okay, Kiba smiled. "He's alright" He then held him out towards Hinata, and Akamaru licked her nose. "See??" He said with a giggle. He had examined Akamaru's wounds prior to this and was thankful to find that his best friend indeed had none.

When Jaden began to shiver, Kakashi frowned. "Jaden..." He thought sadly to himself. It made him wonder if she was shivering because of what had happened, or if she was having a bad dream. Either way... it pained him to watch him in this condition...

“The village is a few hours travel away, even at full pace.”

Kakashi snapped out of his thoughts and sighed sadly. "I know.. but it's our only hope right now..."

“We should hurry and move on, and perhaps we’ll make it by nightfall.”

When Kisame gave him that grin and took off, once again Kakashi felt a wave of anger go over him. He really was that oblivious wasn't he?? He took a minute to calm himself down, if Kisame kept this up, he was going to strangle him before they even made it to the village. With that he took off after Kisame. Katsuko had better not show up again, or he was going to get it.

Haku pulled the girl close, planting a soft kiss on her forehead. He could feel she was scared, b and admittedly, he was as well. But this was the safest place either of them could be right now.
Haku remained silent, glancing out the windows as he held her – it had begun to rain, the smell of the wet trees filling the air around them.
Somewhere inside, Haku felt an ache – as if something had happened to the ninja they had met on their journey something they could have prevented. He closed his eyes as he listened to the rain outside, Refusing to let the girl go. She made him feel warm, and loved... something he hadn’t felt in a long, long time....

“That’s good” Hinata smiled, looking between the two ninja. She smiled sheepishly and quickly took off after Kurenai sensei, knowing the boys would follow.
“Naruto” The sensei spike up, turning to the boy with the bandit still tightly in her grasp. “Can you take Hinata, kiba and shino back to where ever your team is staying? I’ll catch up soon; I need to deal with this guy.” She gave the man a violent shove, encouraging him to move forward. “I think I may need to speak with Kakashi”

Kisame looked up as he came to a stop outside the village. The clouds were gathering – it was surely rain soon. He glanced around. It seemed the village didn’t even have a medical unit – at least not one that he could see. He turned to Kakashi, almost unsure of how to proceed.
“Where is your team?” He asked the man, wondering if they’d be able to help Jaden at all. “Lead the way”

Akimoto's cheeks flushed a light shade of pink when Haku kissed her on the forehead. Ever since she had found out he felt the same way he had given her so many kisses, and she loved each one. They never failed to make her face light up, or make her feel warm and fuzzy inside. Most importantly, they made her feel safe and they calmed her down. Being embraced by his warmth like this, she was no longer scared.

As it began to rain, he shifted and the hug changed. However, it was not a bad change. It was change that made Akimoto feel that, for once in her life. She was good for something, she wasn't a failure. He was clinging to her. He needed her. She... she was needed. At this she felt tears run down her cheeks. Not out of sadness, but out of happiness. In fact, she was sure that she felt even happier right now then she did when Haku told her that he felt the same way. A smile spread across her face and she began to rub his back. "Haku" She whispered. She knew that the words she was about to say would be ones that he would value greatly. He deserved to know, and she felt like now was the right time. "You're my purpose, you always have been" She smiled even wider and felt a few more tears of happiness slip down her cheeks.

The rain began to fall, but Itachi remained in his hiding place. The rain didn't bother him. In fact he liked the rain, always had. The rain was peaceful, and it cleared his thoughts. It wasn't he wasn't used to it either. Considering that the Akatsuki base was in fact, located in the rain village. Whenever, he got his free time, he usually would sit by the window and watch the rain while drinking some tea. It was a nice feeling, and the thought brought a smile to his face.

Both Kiba and Naruto watched as Hinata took off, before looking at each other. "Lets go" Kiba said with a smile. Akamaru crawled into his favorite place, the inside of Kiba's hoodie and peeked his head out. It was always so warm in there and it made Akamaru feel safe. Kiba chuckled and pet Akamaru on the head before following Kurenai, Hinata, and Shino, Naruto right beside him.

                                                      “Naruto”

Naruto turned to Kurenai and grinned "Yeah Kurneai-sensei??"

“Can you take Hinata, kiba and shino back to where ever your team is staying? I’ll catch up soon; I need to deal with this guy.”

                                                      "Sure thing Kurneai-sensei!!"

Naruto walked ahead of the group. For once he had been given the chance to be the leader. The thought excited him. He barely got this chance. He would be the best leader ever!! Even if it was just leading them back to the village where he and his team were staying. He looked back at the others and grinned. "Follow me guys!!" He said as he headed out of the cave and into the forest.

It had taken a while, but they finally had made it to the village. Kakashi looked up at the sky. It was begging to grey... this meant it was going to rain soon... Kakashi sighed, they needed to get Jaden inside as soon as possible.

                                                      “Where is your team?”

Kakashi looked back at Kisame. "Follow me" He said as he headed towards the inn.

Haku watched as the girl spoke.
“Your purpose...” He whispered. He’d often wondered on his own purpose, and settled for many years as simply giving his life for Zabuza. But Akimoto... she was telling him of her purpose. Did she mean it in the same sense he did...? No... He wouldn’t allow her to give her life for his own. He held her tighter as she seemed to cry. “I love you” He whispered, closing his eyes.

Shino didn’t question Naruto as he seemed to skip ahead of the group. He could feel his insects becoming restless – there was moisture in the air, and the clouds seemed to indicate rain. He found the rain almost soothing at times.
He glanced toward Hinata as they left their sensei behind to deal with the man on her own. After what see had just been through, she seemed calmer then every, and he felt almost proud for her. A smile was visible across her face for the first time in a long time.

Kisame looked around as he entered the small in, almost disappointed that he’d be inside during the rain. He loved the water on his skin, but it was something he was willing to give up to make sure the woman was okay.
He followed Kakashi up toward one of the rooms, empty as they entered. Kakashi’s team was no where in sight. He didn’t question it as he lay the woman down on one of the beds, lightly brushing her hair from her face. He wasn’t sure what to do for her, aside from stay by her side until she woke. He smiled a bit – she was going to be okay.

                                                      “Your purpose...”

Akimoto nodded and smiled. Tears of happiness were still slipping down her cheeks. He was her purpose and she loved him more than anything. He had shown her that she was good for something, that she had reason to exist. She knew that Haku himself struggled with existence, she knew his pain. That's why it made her happy to know that she could comfort him, that she could make him smile.

                                                      “I love you”

Akimot smiled widely, a light blush crossing her cheeks. "I love you too Haku" She ran her fingers through his hair. "You were the first person to believe in me, and you always have. Thank you, Thank you for coming into my life." She placed a gentle kiss on his neck before nuzzling it and resting her head on his shoulder, she then closed her eyes and smiled even more.

When they reached the room in the inn, Kakashi wasn't surprised to find that his team was missing. The three of them were off doing their own thing no doubt, he knew they would be back soon. It also didn't surprise him that Sasuke was already up and about. That boy could be just as determined as Naruto, and with the recent appearance of his brother, Kakashi had no doubt that the determination had doubled. When Kisame placed Jaden on the bed and brushed the hair for her face, he had to look away. He was so close to snapping that it wasn't even funny. He needed some air... Without a word he left the room and stood in the hall. He leaned against one of the walls and closed his eyes, trying to clear his thoughts.

"This way guys!!" Naruto said proudly as he lead team 8 to the room they were staying at. Kakashi seemed to be waiting near the door and Naruto grinned. "Hiyah sensei!!" He greeted happily.

Kakashi opened his eyes and when he did, he couldn't help but smile. He knew his team would be back soon enough. Or at least one of them was, and he had team 8 with him. Kakashi looked at Naruto curiously. Naruto just kept grinning at him. "Kurenai-sensei said to bring team 8 to where we were staying. She also said something about needing to talk to you." Kakashi simply nodded in reply. "You guys can go inside, but you need to be quiet. Jaden's resting"

"YOU FOUND JADNEN S-" Naruto didn't get to finish his sentence before a hand covered his mouth. "He said be quiet Naruto!!" Kiba whispered angrily before removing his hand. "Oh right" Naruto whispered as he scratched the back of his head. "You found Jaden-sensei??" He repeated, this time quieter. Kakashi gave him another nod and Naruto grinned at him before motioning for team 8 to follow him into the room.

Haku smiled. It felt... right. This whole moment felt so right – it was almost like a dream...
Haku’s eyes snapped open, as an evil chakra seemed to fill the air around him. He kissed Akimoto’s forehead quickly, before getting up and heading to the window. The rain was still heavy, preventing him from seeing more than a few meters outside.
“I know this chakra.” He whispered, shutting the window. He frowned, keeling his hands on the wooden doors.

Kisame watched Kakashi leave... finally, he was alone with Jaden. He sat by her bed, watching as she slept. She was so beautiful... He sighed, biting his lip a small bit. What if she didn’t feel the same way? He’d seen women grossed out by him before, not many of them liked his scaly blue skin or his abnormal eyes... He frowned. What if she was one of them? What if she rejected him on looks alone..? He leaned forward, playing with her hair. She was right there... if he wanted to kiss her, he could... and no one would know...

Hinata giggled a bit at Naruto’s outburst. It was things like this that made him the focus of her heart for so long. He was always so cheerful, and excited and... Everything she wanted to be. She strayed behind, trying not to be noticed, until the boy mentioned finding Jaden.
“Jaden sensei was... missing...?” She whispered, playing with her fingers. “Where did she go...?”
Shino frowned – curious to know the answer as well, but there was something deeper going on here, he could almost feel it, as he and the others followed him inside.

Kisame looked up, blushing a small amount as he heard the door open. He had been moments from success, before he was interrupted. Frowning a little, he sat back in his chair watching as the mass of young ninja walked in behind Kakashi.

“Oh!” Hinata almost squealed, startled at the sight of the fish man. Shino slowly reached for a kunai, watching as the Akatsuki member raised his hands to show he meant no harm.

“I’m just here for Jaden” He told them, chuckling nervously. ]“I saved her life – I wanted to make sure she was okay...” He grinned at the group, trying not to scare them into attacking him. y]“So uh... you seem to be missing half your team, Hatake... Where is Uchiha? And... That... other one...” He frowned, unable to recall the pink haired ninja’s name.

Akimoto's eyes snapped open the same time as Haku's did. This... this chakra?? What was this?? It was an evil chakra, yet it was nothing like hers. She shivered. She didn't like this... she didn't like this one bit... When Haku got up she followed him. There was no way she wasn't going to be at his side with this chakra in the air. Something was wrong... something was very wrong... As she watched him close the window, she reached for her senbon pouch. Whatever this was, she wouldn't let it hurt him. Then, Haku spoke, her eyes widened.

                                                      “I know this chakra.”

"W-What??" Akimoto said with a gasp. He knew this chakra?? But.. how?? "What... what is it?..."

When the evil chakra entered the air, Itachi snapped out of his thoughts and narrowed his eyes. He knew it. He knew something was going to happen. He growled quietly to himself before looking around. What was this chakra?? It wasn't the chakra from before, no it was different. Itachi then proceed to make his way back. He snuck around the tree fort before once again finding a hiding place. Then he put his hand on his kunai pouch. If anything, or anyone were to as so much make a move, he'd be ready.

When Kakashi entered the room with Naruto and Team 8, it caused a bunch of ruckus. He should have warned them about the Akastuki member in the room, but in the midst of all the commotion and trying to clear his thoughts. He had forgotten.

"What are you doing back here?!" Naruto growled.

"You know this guy?!" Kiba said in both shock and dismay.

Kakashi let out a sigh "It's a long story..." This was much more trouble then it was worth.

Everyone seemed to eye Kisame as he raised his hands in defense.

                                                      “I’m just here for Jaden”

"Huh??" Naruto said, giving him a clueless look.

“I saved her life – I wanted to make sure she was okay...”

He saved her life?? HE SAVED HER LIFE?? That was it. Kakashi had enough. "In case you have forgotten, you had help" Kakashi said bitterly. He ignoring the question bout his team, Naruto however, was not pleased to hear that Kisame had forgotten Sakura's name.

"Sakura!!" Naruto said in annoyance. "Her name is Sakura!!"

“he’s close” Haku whispered, pulling himself away from the window. He knew Itachi was still close – perhaps the Uchiha sensed it too. And Zabuza – He’d have to get through Zabuza as well. He wondered to himself if this guy was really that persistent. He looked at the girl he had subconsciously pulled into his gasp, and smiled a little – there was no way – not a chance – that anyone would be taking her from him.

‘Barely.’ Kisame thought to himself, eyeing Kakashi suspiciously. What was this guys problem? He seemed to react in some strange way every time Kisame went near Jaden or mentioned her or anything... just what was up with him? He looked toward the blonde hyperactive ninja as he almost yelled at him.
“I’d advise you keep your tone down – Jadens trying to-“
“What is everyone yelling about??” Jaden frowned, sitting up in her bed. “You know, it was things like this that made me leave in the first place.” She looked around at their surprised faces, and sighed. “Why the hell did you bring me back here?”

"He-" That's when Akimoto realized who it was. She felt her blood run cold and her chest tighten. This man... this man was worse than her father... She felt Haku pull her close and she buried her head into his chest. "M-Make him go away..." She said shakily. "M-Make him go away..." She could feel tears running down her cheeks. She was so sick of crying, yet she couldn't help it. Ever since she had left her home, she had been so fearful. However, she was thankful for the people whom had made her smile throughout the last couple days. Especially Haku. She liked having a reason to smile... she liked feeling okay for once.. but then for some reason... it kept crashing down... was she forever doomed to end up afraid??...

As Itachi held his hand to his kunai pouch, red sharingan eyes darted around. He was going to figure out where this evil chakra was coming from one way or another, and that's when he spotted him. Katsuko. Itachi clenched his teeth. He had come after her, he had come after her just like Itachi knew he would. This man was sick, trying to use a innocent girl like Akimoto in order to gain power. Itachi absolutely despised ninja like him. He could feel anger, rising with in himself. There was no way he was going to Katusko get away with this. All it would take was one move and Katsuko would find himself in hot water.

Kakashi continued to glare at Kisame, maybe if he kept glaring at him, the knucklehead would get the point. It was while he was glaring at him, Jaden had finally woken up. Seeing that she was up and well managed to cause Kakashi to calm down a bit. He turned to Jaden to answer her question. "You were injured, we weren't about to just leave you there." Unlike Kisame, Kakashi had the decency to give them both the credit. He smirked to himself for a minute. That was one way to show the fishman up. However, his smirk disappeared, just as soon as it had arrived and he continued. "Jaden" He said with a serious tone. "I need to talk to you in private. It's about what happened with Katsuko."

Haku frowned as the girl spoke his thoughts. They’d just gotten away from all that – why was he back again?
“It’s going to be okay, Akimoto” Haku whispered, frowning a bit. “There is nothing he can do to get past me to you. I’m here, I’ll protect you with my life, I swear.”
As quickly as the chakra had arrived, it simply vanished. Haku felt his panic rise just a little more – what was this man’s game? Why was he toying with them??

Jaden blinked, looking at Kakashi with a scowl.
“I find no reason to discuss anything with you.” She hissed, getting out of bed. “You’re clueless, Kakashi. You don’t even know why I hate you so much, yet you continue to push me to the edge of my nerves. I swear, you get in my way one more time, and I’ll end your life.” She grabbed her sword from the floor, and glared at the two older ninja, before pushing her way out of the room. There was no way she was going to stay here and listen to him lecture her about her own choices. It was only when she stepped outside; she remembered what had happened – the dragon – the scroll... She frowned. Why had he and Kisame-
“Jaden” Kisame stepped outside behind her, relieved he had caught her before she vanished. “You shouldn’t really be out of bed – not after what you’ve been through...”
“Don’t tell me what to do, fishbreath.” She hissed, looking over her shoulder. “I don’t even know why a piece of shark bait like you would come looking for me anyway. You don’t know me.”
“Fishbreath...?” Kisame was almost hurt by her tone alone. “Look – Jaden... I just... I wanted to tell you something.”
She turned and looked at him, her arms folded across her chest.
                                              “Well, out with it, then.”
                                              Kisame looked away nervously.
                                              “I... Uh...”

"H-Haku..." Akimoto whimpered softly. She began to nuzzle his neck as she sniffled. If anything were to happen to him... she wasn't sure she'd be able to go on... Then the chakra vanished from the air. She felt a bit of relief as it did, but she didn't dare move. Katsuko was a ninja and a man of tricks, he could come back just as easily as he had disappeared. She had to protect Haku at all costs...

As Itachi awaited Katsuko to make his move, he felt the chakra disappear from the air. However, he knew better than to let his guard down. The situation had two possible outcomes and only one solution. Either Katsuko was truly gone, or he was toying with them, and the only thing Itachi could do, was wait. Quietly he made his way over to where Haku and Akimoto where, but remained hidden. This way, if something were to happen, he was close by. He could instantly get into the house and take Katsuko out. Or at least he would try, knowing that man he would probably slip from Itachi's fingers before he even got the chance. Itachi clenched his teeth angrily at the thought.

Jaden's comment was enough to drive Kakashi over the edge. He had tried so hard to shallow his anger this entire day, but enough was enough. "Then how about instead of acting like spoiled brat you tell my you hate me so much, so that I can stay out of your way." He shot back. Seeing that he got no answer, he growled. "Fine. If you want to jeopardize the mission, that's your own problem. I won't be there to save this time" He then looked back at Naruto and Team 8. "Naruto, bring the others and follow me. Where going to find Sasuke and Sakura and get something to eat" He tried to keep as calm as he could with genin. He had no reason to be upset with them. Naruto nodded and motioned for the others to follow Kakashi. Depsite the fact that he was not angry with them. No one said a word as they followed, fearing if they did they would only make it worse.

Everything was quiet. Haku couldn’t feel the man’s chakra at all... a short amount of time had passed, And he was starting to relax. Not even Zabuza had said a word. What had happened to Katsuko?
“I have to go and see what going on” He told Akimoto. He couldn’t just live out his days in suspense, waiting for something to happen, but he didn’t want to leave the girl either. He felt almost torn – no way was he leaving her behind, and he wasn’t going to put her in dangers way. He glanced towards the door. Zabuza, Maybe...? Would the man make sure Akimoto was safe...?

He panted at bit – he had been training for some time now – and he hadn’t heard from his team or his sensei at all. He slowly approached the tree, and ripped the shuriken out one by one. Things had been too quiet...

That had to be the worst possible mixture ever!! What made matters even worse, is she had no idea what was going to happen. When Haku suggested that he go find out what happened, Akimoto ran over to him and grabbed his hand. "N-no!! Don't go!!" She whimpered. Something was going to happen!! However, he knew better than drop his guard. The time period that had passed was not long enough to make him feel at ease in the least. There was still that tension lingering in the air, and as long as there was that tension, that meant that something was going to happen. If only he could find where the b*****d was hiding. His sharingan didn't seem to be picking up his where about's either, which was aggravating Itachi to no end.

With a smile, Sakura made her way back to the inn. While Kakashi and Naruto were gone, and Sasuke had been resting. She had taken it upon herself to go explore the village a bit more. While she was out she bought some more medical supplies and some sweets for her team. While walking past some trees, she was shocked to find Sasuke using one to train. At first she wasn't sure if she was imagining things or not. So she watched him for a bit, but sure enough, it was indeed Sasuke. Sakura felt a blush cross her cheeks. He recovered so quickly... Quietly she made her way over to him as he took the shuriken out of the tree trunk. "How are you feeling Sasuke-kun??" She asked, blushing again.

Haku looked down at Akimoto – he could see the fear in her eyes. He smiled warmly, taking her into his arms once more.
“I will be alright” He smiled at her, leading her out of the room, to the living quarters where Zabuza was sitting on the couch, running his fingers over his blades edge. The gruff man looked up at the two as he entered the room. “I’ll need you to stay here with Zabuza.” He told Akimoto. “He’ll protect you until I return. I won’t be gone long, I promise” he smiled, pulling Akimoto into a loving kiss.

Zabuza, however, Just rolled his eyes, and returned his focus to his sword.

He could feel the movement in the hut beneath him, but attacking them now would be beyond foolish. He looked up, knowing the Uchiha was still looking for him. His little chakra trick wouldn’t last much longer, but it was enough to slip past at least...
He heard Haku talking about looking for what happened, and smirked to himself. This would get her out of her shell for sure... He grinned, watching for the first person to leave the house.

“Sakura...” He whispered, backing down. How did she manage to sneak up on him like that?? He shook his head and turned away. “I’m fine.”

She didn’t know where to go – She had no leads on Katsuko whatsoever – so what was she supposed to do? Wait until he came back so he could use her again? She sighed, resting her head in her arms as she lent up against the tree trunk. She didn’t want to go back to Konoha anymore – she didn’t want to be anywhere near Kakashi – she was sick of the constant judging she got from everyone... Katsuko – he knew and he didn’t judge her... but he wanted nothing more than to use her – or so she thought.

He sighed, and glanced back at the Hotel, his mind slowly piecing together why Kakashi had seemed so agitated all the time..
Hesitating, he took off back towards the hotel, hoping to find Kakashi. If there was anyone who knew how to talk to Akiyama... it was him.

Haku simply smiled at her and Akimoto's lip quivered. She looked at him with pleading eyes, only for him to pull her close. She felt comforted, but at the same time, she felt uneasy. This was unusual for when Haku pulled her close. Usually she'd be at complete calm, but she wasn't. Akimoto knew that this meant something was going to happen and she began to fell sick to her stomach again. Even Haku telling her that he would be alright, wasn't enough to calm her down. A couple tears fell down her cheeks. She wasn't sure what else she could say to stop him from going. As he lead her into the living quarters, she held on to his hand tightly, gently rubbing her thumb against the back of it.

When they had arrived in the living quarters the scene before them was enough to make Akimoto's body tense up. Zabuza was sitting on the couch running his fingers over the edge of his sword. Akimoto felt a wave of fear go through her. Why did he always have to act so creepy?...

“I’ll need you to stay here with Zabuza.”

Akimoto looked over at Haku wide eyed "W-Wha---" Why was he---

“He’ll protect you until I return. I won’t be gone long, I promise”

Then, the next thing Akimoto knew, Haku pulled her into a loving kiss. Her face turned red and she kissed him back just as lovingly. Then just like that, he was gone. Akimoto simply stood there red faced, trying to process what exactly had just happened.

Sakura froze up when Sasuke held the shuriken inches away from her face. However, when he realized who it was he calmed down. Sakura calmed down as well. Only to smile when Sasuke said he was feeling better. "I'm sorry for startling you Sasuke" Sakura said blushing again "But I'm glad to hear that your feeling better"

It wasn't long before a familiar voice called out to them.

The walk had been mostly quiet and tense, but the moment Naruto saw he teammates, he brightened up right away. "Sakura!!" Sasuke!!" He called over to them excitedly.

Sakura blinked before turning around and seeing Naruto and Kakashi, and it seemed they had some guests with them too. Sakura smiled when Naruto caught up to them. "There you are Naruto, where did you go??"

Naruto blushed a tiny bit "Does this mean your not mad at me anymore??"

Sakura simply smiled. "No, I'm not"

Naruto felt a rush of relief go through him as the others caught up.

Kiba looked at both Sasuke and Sakura and grinned. "Hey Sakura, Hey Sasuke what's up??" Akamaru barked and them and gave them a goofy dog like grin.

Kakashi simply smiled as everyone reuitned with eachother. Just the sight of it alone was enough to make hiim feel a bit better. "Come on you two" He said to Sakura and Sasuke. "Were going out to get dinner. My treat"
