In the time that the boy had been away from his home away from home, the orphanage, quite a bit changed for him. First and foremost, he found out his ex girlfriend was pregnant after their first time sleeping together. Huh, go figure. Bentley really had some kind of luck. Through out his whole life he had been constantly running into obstacles. His dad abused him, he was put in an orphanage when he was five, he hardly got along with the people there and felt like an outcast, a few months ago he got addicted too cigarettes, he latched on to marijuana, and now the first girl he ever dated was pregnant at eighteen. The second major thing was that he was living with his parents for a good six months. Over the past few years he had visited them and each time was worse than the last. Bentley and his dad would always butt heads and argue on a daily basis but as the situation grew more permanent they grew to be more civil. It always took the boy a ton of will power not to lash out on him but he slowly got use to it. In practicing this day after day it grew to be an actual milestone. In the past he was this stubborn, hot tempered, boy that always acted on his feelings. He never cared about the consequence's until it was too late or completely over. Now, instead of immediately getting worked up over the smallest things he managed to have things remain peaceful by keeping his mouth shut. Bentley knew that his mouth was what always got him into fights and that's what he was most tired of. It always started off verbally but then ended physically because of the venom he would spew. Of course he would have his bad days and turn into that awful version of himself but that was to be expected. You can't just fix yourself fully in a short nine months. Now in the present day he was living back at the orphanage once more. It wasn't his ideal situation but once his baby reached six months inside the belly he decided it was time to really be there. Not to say that he wasn't in the first place! Over the six months that he was away he would always go with Diane to her doctors visits and call a few time's a month to make sure she was still okay.
Today was a normal Monday morning with the kids being up already, running around, and creating mischief already. A few months ago he would have slept through it and stayed that way for several more hours but being back in the Hale household changed that. Due to the fact that his little sister always woke him up roughly around eight, each morning, his body had gotten use to it. Oh, did I mention he had a little sister? Well, he does. She was born years after he was dropped here. He also has an older brother, Aaron, who was dropped at the orphanage too. In any case, his eyes fluttered open just as the clock hit eight o'two. Sluggishly he pushed himself up and threw his feet over the side of the bed. Once Bentley rubbed the sleep from his face he hoisted himself up and went to the small closet provided so he could get dressed. For a short moment he rummaged through his clothing but soon after he just pulled out something basic. Quickly he changed, fixed his hair so he didn't look like a complete mess, and then went to the staircase to get breakfast. At the bottom he hung a left and walked into the kitchen where he was completely alone. It made sense, none of the kids that were up weren't exactly old enough to make something for themselves. Bentley walked over the fridge and pulled out everything necessary for a bowl of cereal. Just as he was about to put everything together he suddenly heard crying in the other room. He left it as is as he poured the milk and then cereal because surely someone would take care of it. Honestly, he was never really one for taking care of kids. It was always Diane or Aaron doing that sort of thing around here and now some new guy that came around every once in a while. Bentley didn't know his name and didn't exactly care to learn. At that point he sat down at the table and then took a few bites before the crying really got to him. He pushed his seat out, got to his feet, and was just about to go politely tell the brat to be quiet. As calmly as possible he walked into the other room and walked up to the little girl on the staircase."What's wrong? He assumed it had something to do with a petty argument over a toy but he was incorrect. The girl sniffled and explained that she had a bad dream. At that statement he suddenly felt bad for. It was weird, and probably had something to do with the fact that he had a lot of nightmares as a young kid too. He never told anyone because he didn't want to sound weak but at ages five through fourteen he would wake up a few times out of the night breathing heavily. "Nightmares are awful but you're awake and okay now," he said as he knelt done to her level. She smiled slightly and then nodded before asking if she would watch television with him on the couch. "Only for a little bit. This really wasn't how he wanted to spend his morning. He actually had some place to be in the next hour but until then it seemed he was a bit stuck. The two walked over to the sofa, sat down, and she unexpectedly cuddled up too him.
ooc: I have yet to make an outfit. I will get to this soon.

Lately, it has been hell for the breathing girl. Diane had engraved it into her mind by now, being that she was about nine months into her pregnancy, that she was a whale on land. Who knew the chances that she would get pregnant having sex for the first time? The chances were slim, but it happened and there she was sleeping in her bed due to exhaustion. Not like she was not ready to play the parenting role, she already is the main parenting figure for the orphans at the Orphanage she runs; it had not always been this way but once her sick grandmother had passed away, she was left to be a full-fledged mother figure. Of course, she was not alone because she had her friends and her cousin, Cherise, to help out. As of lately, she has hired some help around the household, such as Milo, who was there for her when Bentley was back at his parents for six months.
Six months ago, Diane found out she was pregnant. It was when she had planned to go to Europe for a weeklong vacation away from the stress, but having found out she was pregnant the day before, she had almost went without telling anyone. They, being her cousin and Bentley's older brother, Aaron, told Bentley that he was the father right after she had left; they were not going to leave that unsaid. Diane thought it was wrong to leave, she could not do it. When she came back, there was Bentley back from his weeklong disappearance from his parents' house. From there, they had discussed what they would do about her pregnancy.
Clearly, they decided to keep the baby. Bentley came with her to the regular check-ups and called every now and then. She lasted those six months and did fine. One time, she did go on her own to a doctor's appointment she had made and was told that there was a possibility she would not make it after she gave birth. It was her biggest fear, but she kept quiet about it. This problem had arisen when she worried about her already ******** up condition; she was ill and everyone knew that. In order for it to settle down, she had to take her regular medicine. If you knew Diane, medicine was her weakness. She could not stand it, but she needed it and she was going to be there for her child. The reason behind this was because her mother had committed suicide when she five years old and her father eloped with her step-mother.
The female woke up not long after she heard knocks on her door. "Who is it?" she asked in a groggy voice. "It's Cherise, do you need me today?" the voice replied and then slowly peaked inside. Slowly sitting up, Diane rubbed her eyes, and stretched. "Why?" she asked as she concealed her yawn with her hand. Her cousin smiled and spoke energetically, "I wanted to go to school today! I've already missed a couple of days, please oh please? I know you need me but Milo is supposed to be coming over today to work." Diane groaned at her cousin because she needed her now in case no one else was around when her water broke. "You know I need you home because I am a whale on land. The baby is due soon, but I guess you can go. Hopefully, someone is home because I've been way too exhausted lately. Go ahead, but come home right away if something comes up, okay?" The other girl nodded her head, apologized, and showed her gratitude by running up to Diane and kissing her cheek. "Thank you so much! I'll see you and your pregnant tummy later! Bye, don't be working yourself too hard, okay?"
Diane could not help but smile, she nodded and waved a goodbye. "No problem, you deserve some time for yourself. Have a good day! And I'll be fine, I'm a strong independent woman." Once Cherise left and closed the door, she made her way back into the comforts of her bed. She closed her eyes and muttered, "I can only pray that everything will go well until she gets home today." As of lately, well ever since she found out she was pregnant nine months ago, Diane was always mentally and physically tired; doing too much exhausted her, so she would frequently find herself being up for a couple of hours, taking a nap, and then waking up again. Too much rest could not hurt her and her baby, right?
Laying in her bed with pillows to elevate her head, Diane closed her eyes with her hands on her stomach. Feeling that tiny kick never failed to make her smile. There were hobbies she missed doing, such as singing her heart out and dancing, but the bundle of joy she was giving life to was going to make the loss of her favorite pastimes worth it. Before she knew it, after humming for a short time, she was back to sleep.

The alarm of the sixteen year old rang and she immediately sat up. Cherise was too excited for a girl her age to want to go to school, some people would even deem her as crazy. The only thing on her mind was school; she had been locked at home for a couple of days because her cousin was pregnant and she had to keep a close eye since her due date was soon. She hoped today would be her day and Diane would allow her to go. She could go forever about Diane. The older girl was like her sister and mother in one, Cherise thought it was astounding how she could go from the fun girl to be around to a protective woman within seconds.
Anyways, Cherise sat up from her bed and stretched. Immediately after she had finished this task, she ran over to her closet and began picking up articles of clothing and throwing them onto her bed. She wanted to look good for the day, she was excited at the thought that maybe she would find a guy. Pausing a moment, her hand reached for the necklace around her neck and she smiled bitterly. Her boyfriend did not come back in the longest time and she believed that she should get a move on. Of course, she loved him but she needed a substitute to fill the void he continued to leave in her heart.
Finding clothes that meshed together, she quickly changed into them and headed towards the bathroom to do her usual routine that consisted of brushing her teeth, washing her face, combing her hair, and applying make-up. She was the average teenage girl with her self-conscious attitude, but she worried that her cousin would be overly protective once she found a guy. It did not surprise her that her cousin would come off with that attitude because Diane did have bad experiences with the opposite sex and wanted her to be safe.
Cherise was exhilarated, she could barely contain herself so she skipped right on down to Diane's door and knocked. "Who is it?" the groggy voice on the other side of the door replied. In a semi-calm voice, she gave an answer and continued forth with her question, "It's Cherise, do you need me today?" Cautiously, she peaked inside and bit her lip nervously. The sight of her pregnant cousin made her smile, she looked exhausted, especially when she asked through a yawn, "Why?" Unable to keep her energy contained, she exclaimed, "I wanted to go to school today! I've already missed a couple of days, please oh please? I know you need me but Milo is supposed to be coming over today to work." It was true, the new guy that has been around the past few months would be taking his shift today. That was a good sign for her because that meant more time to herself. She let out a soft chuckle once Diane replied, "You know I need you home because I am a whale on land. The baby is due soon, but I guess you can go. Hopefully, someone is home because I've been way too exhausted lately. Go ahead, but come home right away if something comes up, okay?" She nodded her head a bit too excitedly, apologized for having woken her up, and ran over to kiss her cousin on the cheek for allowing her to go.
The teenager could not help but laugh at her cousin when she called herself a "strong independent woman." Cherise said one last goodbye and slowly closed the door so she would not make too much noise. With this okay, she ran back into her room and quickly grabbed her backpack and school textbooks.
Making a bit too much noise, she was filled with joy and had not even acknowledged Bentley on the couch. She closed the door behind her and walked to school. On her way, she squeezed her eyes closed tight with a huge smile plastered on her face, and let out a little squeal. Whenever she had days like this, nothing could ruin her mood.

Twelve months ago Aaron had gone apartment hunting on an afternoon where things were slow at the orphanage. It didn't take very long before he found something in his budget, especially after saving all these years. Of course it wasn't like he had money coming out of his ears but he at least had a couple months of rent stacked up. He signed the lease and it was planned for him to move in three months later. Although, when three months later did come he was suddenly put in a situation where he was no longer capable. Aaron was totally fine, but his little brother wasn't. Bentley managed to get Diane pregnant and he could tell that both of them were scared entirely. Even though Diane would never fully show it you could tell that she was constantly having a nervous break down and Bentley up and moved out all together. Well, technically he did that before he found out the big news but he never came back when he did. At that point he felt obligated to stay and pick up the pieces like always. And so he did stay...only for two more months though. After that he packed up all of his things and headed to his apartment in the next town over. The reason why he chose the location was because it was a halfway point between the orphanage and his parents house. It felt right, right in the middle, where he had always been set at mentally. No matter how much time he spent at the orphanage the Hale house was his home. He always felt torn between those two idea's. In any case, it wasn't like he moved away from the orphanage completely. With Diane being alone, pregnant, and the head of the house hold he felt like he should constantly check up on her. On top of that, no matter how hard he tried, he knew he would never be able to stay away from the orphanage forever.
The clock was nearly at half past seven when the blonde male had awoken from his slumber. When he opened his eyes they were greeted by sunrise and a quiet house. These were two things that he still hadn't gotten use to over the last seven months. Slowly and peaceful he began stretching in his bed and finally rolled out of bed afterwards. He walked into the kitchen area half naked which was also something new he was getting use too. Now that he was by himself he didn't have to worry about the kids barging in on him changing. Aaron pulled himself a cup of coffee and the pulled a muffin from the counter. He learned on the counter and ate his breakfast standing up and in complete silence. The boy didn't have a kitchen table nor did he have a television to watch. With everything that had happened and the amount of time he had spent saving he felt like those were just petty things. When you walked into his place it looked very minimal, the basics. Once he took the last sip of his coffee he walked back into his room and straight to the closet to find something to wear. For a short moment he weighed his options but finally decided to go with comfy casual. As soon as he was dressed he grabbed his phone, keys, and headed out of the apartment complex. The next stop on the list was the orphanage. Ever since Diane had gotten into her third trimester you could tell everyone was taking things a lot more seriously. Cherise was constantly watching over her to the point that she was missing school. It wasn't that big of a deal since he was home schooled but Aaron could tell she wanted to go to an actual school. Bentley had come back to the orphanage and was now living there everyone else. He couldn't be to sure how long he was staying and what he would do after the baby was born but he was good where he was at now. Now, Aaron himself, he had been going over there almost everyday rather than once a week like usual. Any day now he knew she could pop and she would need someone to be there.

It had been about ten minutes since Bentley and the little girl had sat on the couch together and began watching some cartoon. At first she sat right beside him and leaned on him comfortably. That was fine, he was use to the kids getting real close to him. It then transitioned into her wrapping her arms around his left forearm and leaning her head against him. Bentley was so thankful that he wasn't wearing a short sleeve today. The amount of times the kids had asked him what the 'colorful thing' on his arm was, was overwhelming. Obviously it was understandable since they had never seen a tattoo before but still, he had heard it enough. Now, at this point, she managed to of wiggled herself under his arm and had her head resting against his lap. Bentley was just about to move her, in fear that she would fall asleep, because he would have leave now in about ten minutes. The place he needed to get was all the way across town and it took him at least half an hour to get there on foot. Just as he put his hand on her shoulder, to gently remove her, she began moving on her own. A whine erupted from her mouth before she pulled at the collar of his shirt, undoing the first three buttons. He grabbed at her arms, pulled them away, and laid her on the other side of the couch. After that she must have fallen asleep once more because she grew as quiet as a mouse. When Bentley went to go fix his shirt he suddenly caught sight of something around his neck. It was medium sized silver chain that held an engagement ring on the end of it. He had been wearing it for so long now he had forgotten that it had existed. It now blended into his daily life and so when it was brought up it was like he had just put it on hours ago. Slowly he pulled at the chain, bringing the ring to the surface. He looked at it for a short moment, remember every bit of significance that it held. When he was younger, the age of five actually, his mom walked into his room and gave him this ring. Once he got older he realized how expensive it was and so why would she trust him with it? Really, he never knew why. On the other side of the spectrum it was the ring that he had given Diane when they met a couple months after that. It held a promise that they would be friends forever and always stay with one another. Well, it seemed that it halfway held up to that. They weren't really friends but they were definitely stuck to each other forever now.
As he held the piece of jewelry up to his face he suddenly heard someone walking downstairs. This startled him and so he quickly pushed the bit of jewelry back down his shirt. Bentley began to fumble over the buttons as he tried to get them back together. While he was doing that there came Cherise with her backpack and all. It seemed that she was finally going to a real school, something Bentley had never been too. Here at the orphanage they provided home schooling but he was always a bad student. He was smart but he hardly paid attention enough to retain any of the information. Finally when Cherise was crossing his path he thought for a moment to say hi but refrained. Ever since he had gotten back she had been acting really weird around him. She couldn't still be mad over the kiss. Could she? If she was, she really needed to get over it because he was off dating for a while. With his ex girlfriend pregnant and the situation he was in now, he didn't want anything to do with girls for a while. Well, he was right to not greet her since she didn't even give him a second glance. Of course Bentley mentally shrugged it off and continued on with his business. He pulled out his phone and looked at the time. It was a little early to leave but he suddenly felt like he needed to get out of the house. With that he got up from where he was sitting and walked over to the front door. Instead of immediately heading out he stood there wondering he should tell Diane. Only after a short moment he shook his head and thought the idea was ridiculous. He didn't need to ask permission and yeah she was nine months but what were the odds that she go into labor right now. Bentley knew he would only be gone for two hours at most and so he pushed through and headed out. In his view, as he did, a little ways down the path he saw Cherise but she seemed like she was in her own world. He was going in a different direction so it didn't even matter any how.

Pop!
Diane immediately opened her tired green eyes at the sound. Before she knew it, this rush of relief fell through her and she suddenly felt wet. Swallowing hard, she began to get really scared. "No, this is not happening right now," she said to herself. She slowly began to stand up and her head rushed. The feeling was almost all too familiar her, kind of like waking up in the morning and realizing she had her period. The last time that had happened was nine months ago and this feeling she had right now was never ending. It felt almost as if it would never stop and she hoped it would soon.
"[********, is Bentley home? God, tell me he is home."
The girl was on the verge of panic, but she tried her hardest to remain calm in this situation. She had prepared herself for this and made sure to ask many questions at her last appointment about what it would be like when her water broke. This was it. To make sure she was not simply imagining this, she grabbed a towel and walked as quickly as she could to the bathroom. The leaking was absurd and it felt gross. "So this is how it feels like," she mumbled as she grabbed the edge of the bathroom sink with one hand to slowly crouch down while her other hand frantically searched for pads to temporarily hold the rush of water coming out of her.
Sticking the pad to her panties, Diane decided it would be smart to find help and change later. Taking deep breathes, she walked down to Bentley's room and knocked in a hurried manner. When he did not respond, she quickly opened the door to find that he was not in there. "Where the ******** is he, he better still ******** be here," she said, sounding irritated. If he missed this, she was definitely kicking his a** out of the house. "One simple job, he had one simple ******** job and he has some ******** nerve." Making the long journey down the stairs, she whimpered, "Bentley?" She needed him more than ever and when he did not reply, she began to tear up in fear. Her emotions were a wreck and all over the place, she could never compose herself. She was afraid and denied it every chance she had.
Diane choked on her tears as she limped to the door through the uncomfortable feeling she was bearing. She hoped someone would be in sight when she opened it; her hand was shaking as she prayed she would not be doing this alone. She saw Aaron in front of her and her answers were heard for once. A sign of relief swept over her, but her eyes spoke of fear. Gripping onto the doorway, she smiled weakly. She looked like s**t and she was aware of that, but being that she had just waken up to the fact her water broke and no one was home was stressful. "Aaron, quick my wat —" before she could finish her sentence, she had the worst contraction she had ever encountered while being pregnant. Gripping her obnoxiously round stomach, she cringed in pain as she let out panicked deep breathes to control it. Between screams of pain, Aaron should have been able to make out, "No one is home and I'm so scared. My water broke, we need to go now. Please."

The walk to the orphanage was a fairly long one but he didn't really have much other choice. He certainly did not have the money for a car and the cab fair would be far to much. Well it wouldn't be that expensive, especially in a small city like this, but he still wasn't willing to spend money on something that was so unnecessary. Aaron was young and healthy and there was no reason why he shouldn't walk. Really, he actually enjoyed it too. The morning sun rising and the fresh air was always relaxing against his skin. So he headed down the long hallway of the apartments, down the elevator, and up the street towards the orphanage. As he walked he was quiet due to the fact that he was taking all of his surroundings in. He had been doing this walk for seven months and yet it always felt like there was something new to look at. Maybe it was due to being stuck in the orphanage day after day and taking the same path time after time. In any case, it had been a good hour and a half before he was heading up the steps of the place and walking inside. Just as he was going to go look for his brother, wanting to check in on him, he ran right into Diane. Immediately he noticed that she looked scared and that could only mean one thing...it was time. As the thought crossed his mind Diane began saying that her water broke only to be pulled in by a contraction. She then mumbled that no one was home and his mind began to go off before she could finish her sentence. All he could think was "Where the hell is my idiot brother." He had always ran away when things got really tough, and it was always awful, but this time it was unforgivable. "Come on. Let's get you to the hospital." With one arm he wrapped it around her body and with the other he was pulling out his phone and calling an ambulance. He already knew they wouldn't make it on foot and a taxi would be too slow. "I need an ambulance now. My little sister is going into labor." As he demanded for the ride he was also helping Diane get down the steps. Once he was done on the phone he slid it back into his pocket. "They're on their way. Breathe." He had no problem helping her through this but he couldn't believe that he was the one here and not Bentley.
A good ten minutes of them standing out there and finally he heard the sirens coming in. Quickly they got her on a bed, pulled her into the back, and Aaron followed inside. Immediately they zoomed off down the streets and began weaving through traffic. At this point he wanted to call Bentley and let him know. Actually, no, he wanted to call Bentley and tell him to get his a** down to the hospital. Although, he figured Diane needed his full undivided attention right now because he could definitely tell she was terrified. So as she laid there he put on a gentle smile and grabbed her hand for the rest of the way there, which was in time flat. Once they arrived at the hospital the EMT's flung open the door and pulled Diane out. Aarron's hand stretched as far as it could go before they were pulled apart and he was hopping out himself. He walked into the building behind them and just as she was pulled through a pair of double doors he was stopped. "I'm sorry, sir but you can't go back there." At this he was dumbfounded because he knew this wasn't true. At the age of two he was immediately let into the room with his dad when his mom went into labor with Bentley. He didn't remember this personally, he was obviously too young, but he remembered the stories his mom would tell about that day. "I need to get back there. I'm her brother." He figured maybe if he mentioned that they would be more willing since it wouldn't seem like he was just a friend. It didn't seem so because the woman before him pulled out a clipboard and which must have had all of Diane's information on it. "Records show that her parents are both deceased and she has no siblings." She then looked up at him in with annoyed and tired eyes. At that point he realized that she must had been there for hours and she was nothing more than grumpy. A small huff realized from his mouth as he walked away and took a seat by himself. As soon as his butt reached the chair he pulled out his phone and called his little brother. The fact that his Diane was in there alone and Bentley would be the only one to get through, since he was the dad, made his absence so much worse than it already was.

Diane could not have been more relieved to have Aaron by her side right then and there. She was lucky enough to have stumbled upon him as she was about to search for anyone in sight. If not, she would have been struggling to get to the nearest phone since hers was back in her room. Yes, she had been unfortunate enough to have left her phone up in her room, even though she had a feeling no one was home except for her and the sleeping children.
In agonizing pain, Aaron was already guiding her and Diane was holding onto him if her life depended on it. Her hateful thoughts for Bentley were currently blocked off by the recent unfortunate series of events. She looked up at the older male for him to tell her that they were going to the hospital. Thank God, she thought, even more relieved than before. Before she knew it, Aaron was on the phone calling for the ambulance immediately and she could not help but give him a broken smile when he referred to her as his little sister. The last time he referred to her as that was when she had got herself into a bad fight with a man and needed to go to the hospital nine months ago, before she had known she was pregnant. It was true though, the way Aaron cared for her was like an older brother. The only other male who had cared for her that same way was Bentley when they were much younger, but they had been distant ever since they broke up. She could not even consider him a friend because he was not there anymore and, after all, she had given him back the promise ring that she had protected with her life. It had become a huge piece of her and she was still unsure how she had managed the guts to suddenly make it seem like it meant nothing to her. Man, that promise. A simple promise to be friends forever and always stay with one another.
Before she knew it, Diane was in the ambulance truck. She could not have been more grateful to have someone like Aaron in her life. He held her hand and she held it back gently because she felt drained. "Thank you," she whispered. She was not only thanking him for this specific moment, but for all the other times he was there. His presence soothed her because she knew she could always come to him when something was wrong. Once they arrived at the hospital, they began to pull her out and, once her hand got separated from Aaron's, she felt the panic rush through her again. At that moment, she realized his presence was her safety blanket, she needed him there with her. But she also needed the father of her baby who was currently missing from the big event.
The sight of the double doors scared her even more, Diane hoped that Aaron would be able to go in. She had watched too many movies in the past few months and this was supposed to be when the father of the baby was supposed to be by the mother's side all the way through the process. Her temper began to boil again at the thought of Bentley being missing and, trying to regain her calmness, she began to take long, deep breathes. By her side, a nurse was holding onto her hand. Closing her eyes shut, she refused to look ahead because she was beginning to get a sense of nauseousness.
Once the bed had come to a stop, Diane opened her eyes and looked around frantically for someone. No Aaron and that scared her lots. A nurse was by her side, trying to get her attention but she was no longer listening. The nurse then held up a gown and set it down on the bed and that was when she realized what was happening. She had to go change and, before she saw the nurse exiting out the door to give her the time to change, she asked, "Do you mind helping me?" The nurse understood the situation and nodded.
After getting changed, Diane settled back onto the bed. She could have fainted then and there, but a light knock and a feminine voice asking to coming in startled her. Not saying a word, the face of her doctor entered and said, "How are you doing? Any contractions yet?" The eighteen year old looked dumbfounded for a moment before understanding the two questions that had been suddenly thrown at her. "I feel terrible. I feel light headed. And I most definitely want to get this baby out of me. Also, yes, right when I stumbled upon someone. It hurts like a b***h, is it supposed to hurt this much?" Dr. Harriot, Diane's doctor as long as she could remember, laughed and replied, "It is. And, whatever you do, please do not close your eyes. If you faint on us now, that could be worst than how you feel. If your mother was able to do it, then you can too. Just hold on, I'll check up on you every ten minutes or so to make sure you're alright. Where is the father?"
Diane forced a smile and said through her gritted teeth, "Excuse my language, but, I have no ******** idea."

Bentley was just about a block away from his destination when his phone had suddenly began going off. He pulled it out to see who it was and only answered because it was Aaron. At this moment it wasn't a very good time and so if it was any one else he probably would have sent the call straight to voice male. "Hello?" His voice was calm and even but Aaron's definitely wasn't. "Where the ******** are you?" The last thing he expected from his brother, as of right now, was a mouthful. They hadn't even seen each other all day and when they left each other yesterday they were good. What did he do now? Bentley grew angry at his tone because he had no right to speak to him like that even if they were brothers. "I went on a walk." It took everything in his body to answer so calmly and try to hide the fact that his brother's tone irked him. As he closed in on the place he was headed to he took in a deep breathe. "Look, what ever this is about, I have to go. I'll..." Before he could even finish his statement Aaron stopped him and began speaking once more. "Diane's water broke and I had to take her to the hospital. What the ********, Bentley?" You could hear that he was whispering the conversation at this point. Where ever he was at, as of now, he was in no position to yell completely. "What?" The way he said it was plain and simple and had no emotion behind it. His body froze up and his heart began to race slightly. "You heard me, Bentley. Get your a** down here. It's time to stop acting like a kid and begin acting like a father." At the word father he suddenly felt like he couldn't breathe. It was the first time he had actually had someone call him that out loud. It was weird, uncomfortable, and made him shake. "I'm going to go pull Cherise out of school. You better be here when I get back." At that he snapped out of it and quickly evened out his voice to make sure he knew Aaron couldn't hear the trembling in it. "I'm right by the school. I'll get her and we'll both come over. Bye." He shut the phone immediately in fear that his brother would begin to protest.
Now, he was literally only houses down from where he was suppose to be. He knew it was important that he go but it was even more important to go get Cherise. At that he turned on his heel and began making his way in the other direction. As soon as he did he could feel himself suddenly having a panic attack. Really, it was the main reason he offered to go get her. He knew if he went to the hospital now he would walk in looking like a mess. That's the last thing he wanted to do as of right now. Bentley couldn't show his fear, he couldn't show cowardice, he couldn't show weakness. He figured if he went some where else first he would have enough time to gather himself. Though as of right now his heart was racing, he couldn't breathe, he felt nauseous, and his hands were shaking. The rest of the way he began taking deep breathe's and clearing his mind. He kept on telling himself that everything was okay and that a baby wouldn't change anything. Today he was no different that he was yesterday except for the fact that he had a new person in his life. No big deal, right? Of course everyone knew that it was but the only thing keeping him grounded, when he walked into the schools office, was telling himself otherwise. "Hi, I'm Cherise Prideaux older brother. I need to pull her out." Usually during these things it would have to be a parent or guardian doing this sort of thing but Cherise was an exception. When Diane signed her up for school she put herself, Aaron, and for some reason Bentley down as her guardian in case of emergencies. "Sure, not a problem. Please sign this sheet as I do so." As he grabbed the paper and began filling out the form he heard the woman on the phone calling her out. Once he was done he handed it over, she thanked him, and stood by a wall trying to calmly wait for her.

Still got something left to prove. It tends to keep things movin' while everyone
around me says my last days are looming overhead. But what the hell do they think
they know? My head's above the water while they drown in the undertow. Let's leave
no words unspoken and save regrets for the broken.

Arriving at the high school, Cherise looked up at it in awe. "Wow, it looks a lot bigger than I last saw it," she whispered. It felt great for her to finally be able to get out and be away from the madness of the Orphanage. For the time being, she could finally be around people her age and that was certainly the reason for her current excitement; although she loved everyone (except Bentley) in the household, there was not anyone her age to talk to. Due to this, it had become extremely lonely for her since everyone was often in their own world.
Lately, the household felt like a jail and she dreaded it due to the fact that she was one of the people who had to constantly keep a close eye on Diane. She felt that her and Aaron were always there for her as the due date came closer and it was true. The thought of this infuriated her quite a bit because Bentley's only reason for staying was because of the baby. It pissed her off even more that he did not even bother to grow closer to Diane, especially because she did not like that the two seemed like they had nothing to do with one another. It did not surprise her why her cousin could not stand to be around him, she had to handle the harder parts of the pregnancy without him and she had too many emotions flying all over the place. Even herself, Cherise could not find herself to be around Bentley. When they talked, she made it short and simple because she was not interested in the male that had kissed her and had knocked up her cousin. The least he could do was to grow up and seem like he wanted to make it work. Then again, Diane gave off the same attitude as Bentley; they were both in it for the baby and that was all.
Cherise stopped thinking about problems of home to be greeted with the stares of her peers. She often missed school, which placed her in independent studies. It was not her idea of a good reputation and she sighed as she continued walking ahead and pretended that she did not acknowledge them. The worst thing that could happen on her first day back was drama. She could only imagine the rumors that had been spread about her since she last had the opportunity to attend the school for a day. It would not surprise her because they knew who she was and she struggled to fit in with the group of teenagers. "At least I'm the one who isn't pregnant," she said to herself as she walked down the hallway to her locker.
The eyes continued to be on her, it was just as unbearable as the whispers. Honestly, Cherise was unsure how she was able to put up with it. She merely learned to accept that it would continue because she was surely not going to be able to go to school everyday. Head down, shielding herself from the shame, she staggered backwards as she walked into someone. Before she knew it, her school textbooks were on the ground and she knelt down to gather them. Whoever it was that had bumped into her was now helping her. Standing up, she looked up to the face of a male. "Hey Cherise, sorry about that," the male said with a smile.
Pausing a moment in shock, Cherise reddened and collected her books from him. "No problem Connor, I should have watched where I was going," she said with a sheepish smile. Wow, she had the biggest crush on Connor; he sat in front of her in her English class and she absolutely died whenever he spoke. "No, don't apologize. I should have walked around you! We miss you in English, do you want to catch up at lunch?" Her heart was pounding and she nodded almost too eagerly, but then the bell rang and saved her from speaking any further. "Hopefully, I'll see you later. Got to get to class, have fun on your first day back!" the male exclaimed.
Once he walked away, Cherise smiled wide and quickly got to her locker to put away her things. At this point, she was greeted by a couple of her friends and they walked together to class. Today is going to be a good day, she thought.
Throughout the day, Cherise constantly checked her phone for any important messages from Diane. She knew that this was supposed to be time to herself, but she was a nervous wreck worrying about her cousin.
"You cannot be ******** kidding me," she groaned quietly as she heard her name over the loud speakers. There has to be a reason I'm being pulled out of class, she thought as she shyly got up. Before she knew it, a voice over the loud speakers also asked her to bring her things and come quickly to the office. She paused a moment before realizing what that meant. Classmates began to call her out on having to go to the office, but she had no time for that. She did not care anymore because there was more on her mind. Throwing her things into her backpack, she quickly walked out and into the hallway to grab the rest of her things. "Ugh, that means I'm going to miss lunch with Connor," she mumbled a little annoyed as she was looking forward to that part of the day. "Who cares though, Diane needs me. Connor, you're cute and all, but hopefully you can wait for me for another couple of days."
Walking into the office, she was greeted by a familiar face. "Oh, shouldn't you be somewhere?" she asked calmly. Cherise had definitely shifted moods. She knew her cousin was in labor, being that Diane had never pulled her out during school, and she could not believe that there was Bentley in front of her eyes. "Because you know you should be with my cousin, this is important to her. This entire pregnancy is important to her, you are screwing up so bad right now by not being there," she said, making sure to emphasize the importance of his presence to Diane.
Cherise paused a moment to realize where she was. She was at school and she was going to snap, so she quickly said to Bentley, "Come on, we got to walk and talk because she could have the baby anytime now." She sounded sweet about it, but once they stepped out of that school she was going to give him Hell.
She walked quietly by his side and, before she knew it, she was ahead of him. Seeing this, she motioned at him to walk faster because she knew now was definitely not the time to take a stroll to the hospital. Once they were outside, she stopped in her tracks and bitterly said to his face, "Tell me why the ******** you aren't over there. You should be ******** over there, not picking me up." Her blood was boiling and she was far from done with this topic.
As she finished her mini blow out, Cherise made sure to quickly text Milo about the event.

I know this sort of sudden, but could you go over to the house right now?
No time to explain. Recently, Diane is in labor and I don't think anyone
is over at the house to take care of the kids. Please go ASAP, we'll even
pay you double for the trouble. Thank you so much! (:
