These past weeks of NPC interaction were some of the most fulfilling of my life. I cannot express how glad I am for a return (or at least a callback) to the golden age of plots, so to speak, nor how incredibly exhilarated I was at how much I got to participate this time around. Even though I suppose it's technically cheating now that I know that his puppeteer and I were previously acquainted, it was still amazing to be a major part of the one thread "Rory" associated with most and felt he could trust, in a way. And the frenetic theorizing sessions really put my obsession to some good use for once. xd Perhaps it was the character, perhaps the story, perhaps the laws of my own quixotic fantasy world, but I was sucked in. And if I thought reading a story was immersive, being part of one is so on an entirely different level. The feeling of being a supporting role, instead of simply following the protagonist from the outside, makes all the difference between interesting and entrancing, between enthusiastic and thrilled, and for the main character, between tragic and heartbreaking. The line between imagination and reality was blurred almost unrecognizably this month, and for the first time in a long while, I felt alive.

So on a final note, I leave this thread with my greatest memories and one last message:

Oh, and Kestin... that made me happy and sad all at once. This was an awesome event for me too. You took the words out of my mouth (actually, you said them a lot better than I would have xD). I got so involved. I hope the next events through Gaia can live up to this one. It was absolutely fantastic. smile

A beautiful speech, indeed, Kestin. I think yours is a sentiment that everyone in this thread can relate to to some degree, greater or lesser. It's been a good ride, and while I love this event, it gives me hope that some other Halloween or Christmas or Easter will give others the same chance this event gave us.
