That portion of the event is complete, yes, but overall the event has not yet ended. As well, the forum must be manually closed by the admin afterward. The admin are not in office during the weekend as they hold regular business hours.

I can't say for certain when the lock will be issued, just saying when it won't be. Once it is locked you shouldn't be able to even edit posts from what I recall.
