Christianity is filled with too many contradictions, too many ways to interpret things (one makes you fit in this sector, while another makes you fit in another), and is just so....unlogical. I was a Christian, when I went to Sunday school I questioned my teacher dude and his answers made no sense. It sounded like a loophole around giving me a real answer.

Let me just come out and say it.
I'm near tears for the people here who are so openly bashing their Father. I'm even more in tears for the Christians who are doing nothing to try and save these people. I LOVE God. My life before God was horrible, now I have reason to wake up every morning. I'm tired of seeing atheists and non-believers question MY beliefs. So here's one for you.

You cry because we Atheists question your beliefs, man, you must be wimpy. Well, I have found many many more reasonable explanations for our creation. We do know that evolution exists, so whose to say we didn't evolve from another species? I think it goes together much more better than saying "God created man." We've seen matter in space come together to create objects, so that goes together with a sight of how the earth was created, much more reasonable & explanatory than saying "God created the Earth." And the Bible, come on man, it's a book just like any other book published everyday, ok. It has a cover, a back, & pages with words, so does every other ******** book. And what will I do when judgement day comes, hmm, well, lets see, when is judgement day exactly? Cause so many people keep saying when it is, I don't think we can even count the number times within even just the past 100 years people have said when judgement day happens, & when that day comes "Oh, we were saved by this & this." So this whole "The world is set to end in 2012," whoever that belongs to, doubtful that it will happen, & guess what, when it doesn't, can't wait to see how many people start to question this "God" after that.

Why do people claim they know something they don't.

They don't understand psychological conditioning and how your brain can make you hear and feel things. It's really absurd to simply come off as an arrogant p***k who thinks they know about God for sure and purely has this imperialistic "Save them" attitude about everyone who can possibly think for themselves and form an opposing opinion.

Besides, all you can do is quote the bible and tell what you were told and little else.

It's tiring, but honestly, why believe in something? Do you need to? Why can't you survive and function on your own and rely on yourself and real people around you?

It's a weakness, but that's expected as we're human. Either way, give it a rest.

What exactly is the point of believing in God? I could easily get the same emotional, mental, and moral satisfaction out of something else if I convince myself of it and others help.

My pastor is tattooed head to toe and has massive gauges. Just about every christian I know wouldn't 'conform'. It's not about conformity, it's about loving God.. the belief of having to dress a certain way was a man-made idea.
