Pear shaped normally means larger hips and butt with a smaller chest and shoulders
But I've never really heard anyone say pear shaped is ugly?

Same here. I thought pear-shaped meant you had more junk in the trunk. Beyonce and Shakira look more hour-glass shaped, although Shakira is a tad more pear-shaped in that photo. The first picture is not a pear-shaped body at all.

My pear shape is extremely exaggerated. I simply CANNOT put weight on above the waist. That, and I don't even fit a AAA cup. I'm 21 years old, and cannot fill a AAA cup. neutral
That coupled with my size 7 or 9 (depending on the brand, really) pants makes me like the most pear shaped person I have ever seen.

I'm an hourglass shape myself (hips are 12 inches bigger than my waist and my chest is 10 inches bigger), but I like pear-shaped bodies. I think they're pretty. What can get weird-looking sometimes are apple shapes. Not every person with an apple shape looks weird, but I have seen a few who are really big on top and have these skinny little toothpick legs...that looks...off...
