I have a positive view on marrige because I am the child of parents who love each other and have been married for 20-some years. 3nodding

I do want to get married and some tips on how to stay together would be first, dating for at least 2 years. It makes any masks they have, fall.

Being more than just lovers, but good friends

And in the beginning, even if they have faults don't divorce over the smallest thing. It it will work out, just don't go to bed angry.

I did not condemn one person. Everytime I said something I ALWAYS said "my belief" or "us Christians" never did I tell someone directly "You must" or "You should" without in a previous statement saying "Us Christians" or "In Christianity"

Can we flip the question? What makes your truth better than my truth? There must be a truth. There must be 1 truth. Like you said before with the abusing animals and killing of people, that's wrong. But what if it's someone else's truth that its right? How do really measure right and wrong?

Who said there has to me only one truth? There is no such thing. Nothing is absolute.

Edit: Also, your "preaching the gospel" is commonly called harrassment. Harrassment is an infringment on another's right to peace and privacy. And therefore this act that you call your "truth" is actually wrong.

And you've also not read the Bible very thouroughly. It's the Christian's job to explain Christ to people who ask. Not run around condemning every person you see. You're not supposed to harrass people who don't want to hear it.

1. I think that marriage is simply two people who want to validate their relationship in the eyes of their community, and make what they have seem more important. But of course people do and will continue to, get married for selfish reasons.

2. I don't think I will get married, because I don't WANT to. I'd much rather have a partner who I live with, and not go through the ceremony and big deal that marriage is made out to be.

I myself think that marriage is something special and people should not rush into it without being completely sure. Though I am catholic, I do not have anything against same-gender marriages. If someone loves someone enough to be with them and only them for the rest of their lives, they should be allowed to do so.

I think marrige is a wonderful union between two people who love eachother very much. I am quite excited to say that I am engaged and will be married to an amazing man and I couldn't be happier. Marrige brings couples closer and I think it's important. I do know couples that have been together many years that are not married, just as happy as those who are. Marrige is just an expression of what has already happened, a commitment and life long bond. I think marrige, what is symbolizes is important, regardless if there is a ceremony or not.

I believe that marriage should be only with the person you truly love, and the person loves you back as much. If not then It could be a waste of time. The truth is, you either will not get marred with the person you love, get marred but then split up, or in some cases, kill one another. The human soul is not perfect, and never will be. But I believe that true love is the closest thing to purity we have.

Just so you know, if you're in a long term or serious relationship and you break up, you invite more problems than you would if you were married. Legal division of assets, child custody, etc all get much harder to figure out.
