No it was right before, Clinton was the one who lefts us in a recession, but the media only plays it out as Bush's fault when he kept things afloat for us through his years in office.

Give the guy some credit, he's been taking every insult thrown at him in stride by a good hunk of the country and didn't cave on it. He wasn't like, "OMG they say such means things! No fair!"

And for his age, he did a pretty good job at ducking around the flying shoe and didn't even lose his place in his sentence.

Actually the Chief Justice is the one who messed it up, and it threw President Obama for a loop. A little embarrassing, I'm sure, but far from the end of the world.

I do understand that it was the Chief Justice's fault. However, I'd like to point out that had it been McCain/Bush everyone would have been screaming "IT'S BECAUSE HE'S OLD/STUPID." And completely ignored what ACTUALLY happened.

I feel like America believes that the Republicans are completely retarded (not that a lot of them aren't...) and that Obama can do no wrong. It's upsetting.

I thought that what our school did today was completely ridiculous. Actually... I think what our COUNTRY did today was completely ridiculous.
Barack Obama is not a celebrity. He is not the messiah. He is not a prophet and he is not a rockstar. But the media and this country are treating him like one. It's completely disgusting and inappropriate and thank the spirits that he is not an evil man. Then way these people are blindly following Obama is exactly how people blindly followed Hitler. (NOTE: I AM NOT COMPARING THE MEN, JUST THEIR FOLLOWING.)

I also didn't appreciate having the inauguration shoved down my throat today. Stop trying to force meaning into this event. If we wish to care, sure, coverage should be available, but if we don't, let us be. Between every bell they played patriotic music. It was obnoxious and they even PLAYED OVER BARACK OBAMA'S INAUGURATION SPEECH. I couldn't believe it. Yes, this moment is historical, but do we really need to have the projector on in the lunch room broadcasting CNN when all they're showing is the crowd?

I also don't understand how everyone was up in arms over Bush's last Inaugural Ball which cost $42mil, but yet the country is turning a blind eye to Obama's $150mil blowout. We are in an economic deficit. We do not have $150mil to spend.
Obama is not a demi-god, and he shouldn't be treated as one.

I find it kind of funny that people are trying to find every way possible to make him lose his "saintly" demeanor, when I'm quite sure that Obama is what you would call "human". I'm proud. I'm absolutely proud as ********.
It was a VERY big deal today. I didn't miss
a SECOND of the inauguration today.
It was VERY important to me. I skipped half
a class so I could be in another teachers class,
because my math teacher is stupid and wouldn't
let us watch it. I had my Obama pin, my Obama
pencil. I was ******** ready to rock.

My dad is as racist as they come. He despises
Obama, and despises that I support Obama.

And I couldn't be more proud of this country today.
I cried, I honestly did. I'm not black, I'm not part black.
I have a LOT of black friends, and some black family.
But it was as important to me as ANY African American
in this country.
