Welcome to Gaia! ::

nobody would ******** pay 1000 dollars to make a youtube account to post videos when they could just do it on another site for free.
thats just a stupid idea.
not gonna happen.
How about just use a different website? neutral

Anyone agree with me? we could maybe work something out.... like a $500 fee instead. Fair enough?

You're an idiot.
What makes Youtube great is the fact that anyone can post videos. Sure, there's lots of garbage. But within that garbage there's hilarious clips that would most definetly not be there if your idea went through.
The OP is either a troll or an idiot I actually believe he is both. You Tube is not going to drive off it clientele by charging a fee when it already makes money through advertisements.

Now get of the internet and get a life little boy.

Okay here is the deal just about 100% (there might be 1 or 2 exceptions) of accounts that AREN'T partners are a complete waste of time and resouces and therefore should be banned. if people have good enough videos, they would be willing to pay $1000.
I've said it before and I'll say it again;

Really?
If someone would have to pay $1000 dollars to put something up on the web, then you would have to pay to watch it.
Like in the movies. They pay big money to make a movie, if your going to watch it, you have to pay.
NO ONE could pay $1000 dollars to put a video on youtube.
Anyway, someone would take that opportunity to make another video viewing sight.
YouTube would become nothing.
Stupidest idea ever.
That's what youtube is for.
You want to see an artist play music, go to their website, or myspace page.
If you think your alive, your better off dead.

here is a link to those saying you can't get in trouble for watching youtube videos...

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13739_3-9936833-46.html

Users of YouTube and other video-sharing sites could face $750 per clip penalties if they have watched a video that was uploaded without the copyright holder's permission.

yea... probably not a good idea to watch copyright material unless uploaded by official channels.

Your messed up. End of discussion.
Here's a reality check;
not many people have $1000
to blow on the internet.

And some people with interesting
opinions and clever ideas would
not be able to share their thoughts.

Not to mention, it costs less
money to just start your own site.
