My opinions:

It's an awesome remake that I've been waiting for for years. I played the original N64 version to death 10 years ago, and plan to play the XBLA version to death also.

I think the game took two steps forward, and one step back. The improved graphics and framerate are awesome to say the least, the Live play is a little laggy but still fun, and the other little updates are nice touches. But the few changes I don't like are how they removed a few menu options, the laptop sentry runs out of ammo faster, and there are a handful of annoying glitches that need patching (grenades and slayer rockets vanish sometimes without exploding, for example.)

As for the president, I think it's pretty badass that he was made in the past, lives in the future, and was a prediction of our president in the present. He ashooms three dimensions of time.

And in my opinion it definitely doesn't suck. In fact, it plays a lot better than most modern FPS games. Do you have a valid reason why it sucks? Or do you not realize how ahead of its time the game was?

The game that sucked was Perfect Dark Zero. That game ruined everything the original had going for it. I agree that Rare has gone downhill since its prime, but they worked with a second company for the re-release. The only major issue was some glitches in the game that desperately need fixing. But I still wouldn't call it a ruined game.

What a tool I was back then.

I bought a new-used 64 from Game X Change JUST so I could play this game faithfully. (64 emulators are way to hard to adapt the control scheme to, unless you have a USB 64 controller. somehow.

And it's still a great game.

Yeah, that's another thing that needs fixing. The "rubberband snap" of the manual aiming renders it almost completely useless. It was hard to control on the N64, but it's even harder to control now. A lot of people, including myself, just use it when it's absolutely necessary.

I even resorted to marking the crosshairs on my TV screen with a sticker, and started no-scoping with the sniper rifle instead of zooming in.

I could probably enjoy the game if it wasn't for the aiming. But, the controls of hte game (and for Goldeneye) are pretty much the biggest reasons I consider both games to be absolute s**t.

If they wanted to remake the game, they should've realized that the aiming method is horribly outdated, and sucked even when the 64 version was new.

Haha, I exploited it too. xD But I never left it on overnight. They apparently fixed the glitch for this version though. Probably because it would suck to endure it online.
