I might have some caches tucked away that I can give you. I want to focus on gathering non-components before the caches, since the caches are waaaaay cheaper. I can get on it later tonight.

Its funny, when Alchemy came to be, and I found out about the Wing Mastery, I started collecting the non-component stuff because back then, the caches were expensive as hell. Wish I collected more.. Like the neck scarfs, they were 100k back then. Bugs were 10k, things were so cheap! Even the White Ink was 1k or so.. Man if I could go back in time. XD

Now I'm the opposite, Caches are dirt cheap now I figure I'd sort it out now before facedesking at the prices of the non-component stuff.

Just need to keep an eye on the MP or steadily work towards collecting (or making) inks. I wish things were like they were back 8-9 years ago. Those were the good days, when fishing was a decent gold-making business. Nostalgia...

I'll see what I can scrounge up for gold, since buying the non-components are, as you said, expensive as hell. I'm going to drive myself up a wall with having to collect 30 of both Monarchs and Demonflies. Might have to resort to wandering around Towns 2 for them.

I joined early 2009, sole reason was to try zOMG!, I liked it enough to stay lol, things were kinda nice then, got my Bolster Sword for 20k (now going for like 3b or something), Ancient Katana for 500k (now going for I dunno, 8b). I think booty grab just started, and I remember a pretty awesome Halloween event, even zOMG! had one!

I found my first Rare bug in Durem, it was a Monarch.. Ended up using it for someone else's wings, as well as a few other things, never got paid for them either.. Guy isn't around anymore so nothing I can do about that. XD Haven't found another rare bug since.. Wish you can make them like you can with the fish.

I first started back in 2005, when I turned 13. I lost access to the account, forgot the username, and I rejoined back in 2008. I remember when zOMG started, and I hopped on for a little bit. Also remember Booty Grab... didn't really get into it.

I never really did much in Towns for a while but catch bugs and find trash. Never found a rare bug, and I remember back before the inflation started that the rare bugs were high priced, but not super expensive. I had no idea you could make the rare fish, I always figured people caught them with an Angelic Rod+.

It depends, a whole lot, on what route you take to get there. These days, with so many Caches in Dumpster Dive, you can get all the way there for so little Gold that the recently increased Gold payouts from Daily Chance might be able to cover it completely. That might involve waiting for the right kinds of Cache to come along, though, so it might not be for the impatient. Alchemy's been through a lot of changes over the years, but it's pretty much always had an element of "would you rather spend Gold or time" to it.

Platonix has it essentially right. I found it's more "how much effort do I want to put forth?" I didn't track how much gold I used in Alchemy, but it's in the millions, counting all of the times that my gold was used after a fail. Gathering Caches and ingredients is what took the longest for me.

At least they are somewhat easy to get from DC, today alone I got 3 heart and 2 star charms. eek
