Well guys, its been a blast, I've enjoyed my 5 years here on Gaia, playing zOMG!, meeting my now wife in Zen Gardens 4 years ago, collecting all the Kill Badges in the game, doing my very best to get all the Achievements, creating these amazing guides for you guys, and all the fun in between.

But, I fear I'm nearing my end here on Gaia. The main reasons I stay here, despite the fact I dislike everything Gaia is doing in recent years, were zOMG!, Achievements, and my Alchemy threads. I put my heart, soul and sweat into those features, and yet, Gaia has ruined them for me, by doing these kickstarters set at 75b per achievement for 2 of them, then they decide it was cool to add a 150b and 500b one in this new one that ends in a few hours..

And with zOMG! being taken down soon for 'maintenance' I have my doubts it'll come back, most likely they will do a kickstarter for it like they are for the Manga.

So unless I come up with 400b by tonight I will miss my first achievement in the 4 years of collecting them, and it hurts to be defeated like this because I don't buy Gaia Cash, oh and to top it off, it looks like they released another Alchemy like system called Go Fusion, the components are Cash only and it too, has Achievements. It really saddens me to see Gaia do this to its users.

I deeply appreciate everyone and everything that you guys have done for me, and if I do 'retire' I will leave my thread in good hands, but I hope it doesn't have to come to that.

And congrats to everyone who has reached Level 10 while I was away.

Lol man ! If you like something don't leave it go away ! You said that you won't be defeated you are gave up now on one bullshit ! There will be more achievements ! Also you can buy the components of the GoFusion from the marketplace!.

Never really said I was done for good yet, just mostly leaning towards it. Thing is though, I can't find anything I like here anymore, other then some of the people here the site itself has turned into *insert explicit words here*. zOMG! won't even load for me because the servers are so bad now, Alchemy gets a new side Cash feature that this site does NOT need, the inventory arranger I've been waiting years and years for will most likely have Gaia Cash options to it somehow.

The only good thing about Go Fusion is that its not time restricted, you can do it as you please, kinda like Alchemy, and it'll be hard to buy the components when they keep doing these kickstarters.

But in retrospect I'll be starting school again soon, working a lot, have a family to take care of, I really won't have time here anymore, also I'm a gamer, and I think I'd rather play my games then spend time on a site that does this to its users.

I've been neglecting my games a lot too. It might help to find a balance.

Breaking a streak of achievements is disappointing, but even without one, you are still well ahead of the curve. Imagine new users who can't get a lot of the old achievements, even if they could somehow get the newer ones (which is also unlikely).

Maybe taking some time off to put things in perspective is a good idea, but I don't think you should outright quit.

They corrupted the achievement system way too much already with GC-dependent ones. I refused to feed into the recent gold sinks.
I don't even have that kind of gold to begin with. It depresses me so much that this is what they consider a "reasonable amount of gold" for us to be expected to throw at them now.

I'd really have liked the titles for the second achievement from this one,
but it seems like on Gaia you can't have nice things unless you throw tons of money at them,
which I neither can nor want to do.

Sadly, you can hardly even buy gold shop things anymore, at least not the ones from their "Loyalty Shop" because they expect that you have tons of gold lying around.

That's pretty much how I feel if they do that with zOMG!. Still surviving these kickstarters with my achievements, these threads are something I enjoyed giving to the community and it would suck to give it up.

I just hope Gaia stops doing things that are really pissing everyone off. Though sadly, they just do what nets them cash, regardless of what it is and the damage it does.
