I felt the same way with my wing formula, I never thought I would get one so I never bothered to save up items; now I'm hunting like the rest for bugs and ink xp

I know, majority of your gold is going into the Ink and Bugs... most of my gold went into the bus as well.. which formula are you doing, the fallen inizio quest as well?

no I have an angelic quest inizio currently, hoping to save up for a fallen quest at some point but that will be long in the future

With the new Cache mini-update, those Caches being throw into DD, it really has brought some new attention to Alchemy and unfortunately an awareness of the lack of items for it.
I even tried to strike up an argument for new items in the GCD.


This is a superb guide and has helped me reach LV6 in three days. Still, so many items are hard to produce. I was interested in doing the "The Great Mistake" one for the achievement, but obtaining the MANtis for it is going to be impossible....

Though like I said, I have beef with the fact that Devilish Quest Cache totals for 10-1 through 10-4 are missing along with the Cache total for the entire quest. XD

Hey I just wanted to write up a sincere thank you for writing this guide, it helped me in knowing what ingredients were used more commonly, so I could invest in bifrost caches, and then open them up for the right ingredients and selling those to turn a profit until I started alchemy under a week ago, or so it feels like. I know it hasn't been very long, but I'm level 8, because of your guide.
My net priority is going to be tracking down an inizio, any of them since really I just want the pride of knowing I managed to make a set of wings.

So anyway, all babbling aside thanks, you've done everyone a great service ^^

NEW LINKS!!: Added a link to the specific Cache for all the Components listed in the Formulas, figured this would be a very useful feature and it has been suggested by a few users. I did have a scare though, accidentally deleted 1/2 of the Level 4 Formulas, luckily I was invited to that Item Guild awhile back and I was in charge of Alchemy and zOMG!'s items, so I used what I used there and just re-edited back to this threads format. So yeah, that was fun.. sweatdrop Hope this little update will help!

Unfinished work: Finally added the missing Devil's Wings Cache totals.. Sorry for the long delay.

Still not done yet...: I still have to redo a few minor details, but they shouldn't take too long. And I have to add all you new Level 10's out there, and all the new backwings made.. Which I plan to finish my Wing Mastery as soon as I get that Emerald Ticket.. Bet you all can guess which shop I'll go in. xp

Sorry if it sounds like I'm just nitpicking. You have a wonderful guide here, full of lots of information. I just noticed some things reading through that maybe you missed while putting it all together.

Level 1:

*Rusted Helm is available in Enki's Catch (Used in the Bullet Helm formulas)
*Gum Rubber is available in Daily Chance and Fish Drop [lite] as well- (Not currently listed on Silver Bullet Helm Formula but is on Gold?)
*Superduperglue same as Gum Rubber (In Long Tusks formula but is listed as Daily Chance and Fish Drop [lite] on Formula 2 page?)
*Minor note for those working on Long Tusks the shop link to Wicked Car Horns from the marketplace is broken however the item is still in Sam's shop under the roof category.

Level 2:

*In Master's Pendant you have Burnt Filament listed as sold in the Bifrost for 10g should be Daily Chance and Fish Drop [lite]

Level 3:

*Minor typo on Dancer Bottoms in Fondue the Chocolate Bunny Formula

MANtis came from... Emerald Seed, if I remember correctly. There's a really contrived way to reintroduce rig items but it's not worth it for the most part. Formula 1: Emerald Seed which costs a whopping 1gc and needs 10 Lady bug crowns to make... Each past rig has a similar formula. You could in theory source the items to the 20k a pop Ivan's garage sale in Loyal's Bazaar, but that in itself is a rig so no guarantee you'll get the rig crafting item you need much less the desired item from the crafted rig. Heck maybe charge gc (1-15 sounds fair?) for the formulas of old rig items, but use gold shop and cache components to craft them, to not further exhaust depleted supplies.

Before I blow Alchemy off for only the super rich.
But now with the caches and the Item gens...in the last 4 days I've went from level 1 to level 8.
About to be 9 today.
