No, it's not confusing. Just focus on what I'm telling you. Gold donated to GUILD is stored on a virtual account that you don't have access to. This way you cannot use it in any way. Want the gold for yourself? Ask members to donate it to some other account. I don't care if you make a new mule or ask people to donate directly to you. Just destinguish two things: gold donated to gui;ld and gold donated to any member's account, They're NOT the same.

I don';t know the maximum number but there can be two of them for sure, I've already had two vice captains at the same time in my guild.

The entry fee differs from clan to clan. It is the captain's right to set the amount of entry fee, sometimes it;s free to join, some of them will have high fees of several k. An average is a few hundred gold.
The gold from entry fees DO NOT go to the captain. It is stored on a virtual clan account that no one, even the captain has access to. Actually, the access is limited. The gold can be spent only to purchase new subforums and send announcements. No one can use it for their personal purpose.
