The Elemental Academy Recruitment Thread

Welcome to the recruitment thread for the Elemental Academy guild. The Elemental Academy is a School/University Role-Play located in the land of Euphoria, a mystical and battle torn land filled with the different elements that make up its core. Euphoria itself has a deep set history upon which its very grounds are scarred with the remnants of battles from long ago as ancient structures of the different tribes stand against time itself and offer up pieces of a past long since put aside for the sake of future generations of elementalists. It is within this land that the Elemental Academy is located and where the students who enter upon its sacred grounds find themselves immersed in a land of wonder and beauty yet holding hidden dangers as the students and staff of the Elemental Academy bravely travel on adventures and varying focused stories unlocking the secrets that hold key to the present and help each student to grow.

The main focus of the Academy is:

"To educate those who enter through its doors the different elements of the world and how they all come together in one harmonious union to create a better life for all, and to serve as a place of healing and a safe haven for those seeking refuge. In the end all who step outside the schools will leave with a richer understanding and respect for not only themselves and their element but the other elements as well."

There is also a focus on each member and making sure that each member has fun and excitement while at the Academy through the creation of an organized structure of forums and with an organized structure of staff and rules to ensure that everything is run smoothly and efficiently. We are a guild focused on our members and have created an environment where members from any background can come and enjoy themselves. With this in mind we all come together to create a world that reaches beyond the normal range of ordinary role-play. We create unique environments filled with a diversity of characters from all backgrounds with one goal in mind - having fun.

We are always accepting new students so please feel free to read through and/or visit the guild forums and get a feel for what life at the Elemental Academy is like as we are now hosting events within the Academy for both students and staff to participate in. So please feel free to check out any events listed and featured in our Special Events forum.

Elemental Academy Recruitment Thread Rules and Regulations

Please read over and review the rules and regulations of this thread. Please follow these rules as they are meant to keep the integrity of this thread and its members intact. Any violations will result in swift and proper punishment using the appropriate channels. Ignorance of these rules shall not be used as an excuse to break them. There is no exceptions.

1. The function of this thread is to serve as a recruitment thread only. With that in mind please do not post any sort of role-play in this thread even if it is related to the Academy. The only role-play that can be posted here is any sample role-play that you wish to post if and only if a staff member requests it although your role-playing skill will not be a determining factor for recruitment.

This rule includes all staff members and students of the Academy and is enforceable by the Academy staff. Any violation of this rule will result in first a written warning to be issued. If there are any repeat violations to this rule it will result in the member(s) in violation to be asked to leave the thread. Failure to do so will be reported and forwarded to the Moderators of the Gaia Guilds Network forum.

2. Please follow the Gaia ToS.

Any violation of the Gaia ToS will be reported using the appropriate channels only. This rule can and will be enforced by any person within this thread or viewing it. Please only report anything that is in direct violation of the Gaia ToS. Anything else needs to be brought to the attention of the staff members here within the thread although they will be monitoring this thread.

3. Please follow the Gaia Guilds Network: Rules and Guidelines.

4. Please do not bump or advertise for anything that is not related to the Elemental Academy within this thread. Once more this is a recruitment thread. Take the bumps and ads to the Chatterbox.

Any bump or advertisement posted within this thread that is not Elemental Academy related or in any way related to the guild will be deleted and that person shall be warned. Excessive bumps and/or advertisements by the same person(s) will result in them being reported through the appropriate channels.

5. Show respect for the members of the Elemental Academy staff and everyone within this thread. Remember the Golden Rule.

First violations of this rule shall be reported to the Academy staff on duty. This will result in the person(s) being issued a warning. Repeat violators will be asked to leave the thread by a staff member of the Academy. Failure to leave when asked will be reported through the appropriate channels and can result in a person being warned by the Gaia Moderators.

6. No person(s) shall impersonate or attempt to impersonate a staff member of the Elemental Academy or Gaia Online.

Any person(s) found to be impersonating a staff member of the Elemental Academy and/or a staff member of Gaia Online shall reported and asked to leave the thread immediately. A person(s) found impersonating a staff member of the Elemental Academy will be reported to the staff of the Elemental Academy. A person(s) found impersonating a staff member of Gaia Online will be reported immediately to a Gaia Online Forum Moderator. Please use the appropriate channels when reporting.
1. Staff members of the Elemental Academy will be listed here on the front page and will also have a badge assigned to their signature marking them as such. Staff members in the Elemental Academy include Moderators, Gods or Goddesses of given elements, Head Masters and Masters of given elements, and Lead Instructors and Instructors of given elements. Their badges will each contain a color-coded header and a title designating their rank within the Academy as each color is listed in the image below. *Please note that staff members can also hold dual titles if applicable and their main title will be listed in the header with a separate color-coded bar underneath the main title to designate their second title within the Elemental Academy.
2. Gaia staff will be noted as such based on the color of their username and will have their designated title below their username. Gaia Administrators will be marked in Orange, Gaia Forum Moderators will be marked in Green, Gaia Forum Assistants will be marked in Purple, and Gaia Developers, Artists, and other staff will be marked in Brown. Regular Gaia members will have Black usernames while your Gaia friends will have Blue usernames. Remember that all Gaia Staff members have colored usernames and a title underneath that name specifying their role on Gaia. If there is not a title underneath their username they are NOT a staff member of Gaia Online in any way.

Please remember to respect all Elemental Academy staff members and to abide by their authority. Remember that like Gaia Online staff, Elemental Academy Staff will NOT ask you for any account information. Please feel free to direct any questions, comments, or concerns you may have here within the Elemental Academy Recruitment thread to a staff member and we will try our best to answer you in a timely manner. Remember that Elemental Academy staff members will be designated by their ID badge in their signature and the color and title of their ranking within the Academy will be displayed on that badge. If they do not have a colored header or bar on their badge and/or are not listed below then they are NOT an official staff member of the Elemental Academy and should be reported to a Moderator of the Elemental Academy.

These members are not allowed to post within this thread and continuation to do so will result in them being reported to a Gaia Online moderator. If you are on this list please refrain from posting any longer within this thread. How to Join

How do I join? You may find yourself asking after showing interest in the Elemental Academy. Well joining is easier than you think and I shall list several options from which how to go about joining below.

Option 1:

You may click on the banner for the Elemental Academy at the top of the page taking you to the Elemental Academy guild. From there you can follow the instructions on the front page to fill out an application for entry.

Option 2:

You may submit a PM to a Moderator of the Elemental Academy to include a PM being submitted to XxThanatosxX with the following information filled out.

Character Name:
Character Age:
Character Gender:
Main Element:

Brief explanation of why you want to join the Elemental Academy.

Below is a list of the elements of which to choose for your main element. Please choose wisely as per the rules of the Elemental Academy you can only have one main element but once inside of the Academy you may choose up to two sub-elements to accompany your main element.
