Wow, my first guide- I'm a bit nervous! If I mess up on anything here, feel free to let me know!

That said, welcome to the SPLIT HAIR GUIDE- your one-stop location for all your split hair needs!

What is split hair?

Split hair is any hair that has been dyed in two equal halves, usually down the middle. While originally made popular by Cruelle DeVille, the style has began to gain popularity again with Harley Quinn's portrayal in Suicide Squad.

UPDATE: I have now added a 'maybe' section, for hairs that might be considered split, but also might not! If a hair you were looking for is no longer in the first post, please check there before asking!

UPDATE 2.0: Along with work and school, I've been having a rough time in general, meaning that this thread has fallen well on the wayside. I still plan on updating it here and there, but updates will definitely be sporadic. Sorry about the lack of updates in general!

UPDATE 3.0: A lot of you are probably expecting me to say that I've abandoned this thread... quite the opposite! Starting February 2019, this guide will be updated as necessary the 13th of every month. Times aren't going to be specific (again, school and work), but I'll try to make a point to get updates on the 13th.

Along with that, I've added a new "Update Summary" section, that way I can more easily track where I left off, and you guys can see what's new!

UPDATE 4.0: Due to popular demand, I've added a ✂️ emoji to all items that have bangs and/or extensions that are also split, as well as a section for ONLY split extensions!

UPDATE 5.0: Unfortunately, there's been entirely too much going on in my life for me to continue focusing on both this and my Lost Items thread. As such, I'm going to be leaving this thread open to whoever wants to pick it up. Crediting me isn't going to be necessary UNLESS you entirely copy/paste the contents here. Thank you all for your understanding, and I hope this guide has helped you!

You forgot a recolor!
If the item's recolor made it so that the hair was no longer split (ex. dark cottontail), I intentionally left it off the list. If I forgot a recolor that does split the hair, however, let me know and I'll add it when I can!

This item doesn't belong here!
Whenever adding an item, the main question in mind was "Is this hair two halves with two or more different hair colors?" For example, if one side of the hair was solid black, and the other half was ombre with the melty colors (black/mint/lavender), I would still consider it, seeing as the hair is still dyed in two distinctive halves. However, if a hair item isn't in two perfect halves, I may still add it just in case it could be of use to someone.

If an item truly doesn't belong here, feel free to let me know!

When are you going to update the list?
I'm very busy with a job + preparing to go back to college, so I may not update this list as frequently as other lists. Please be patient with me, and thank you for reading this far!
