any good sailor moon special effects? lightning, bubbles, fire, hearts etc?
or suggestions? working on sailor jupiter right now.

this was my previous cosplay for her, but I'm trying to update it.... can't find that lightning again, and was curious if you have other suggestions

I know I have seen that other lightning but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called and it wasn't what I thought it was unfortunately. All I was able to find was the bg.
I know 2 items that have nice fire effects one is a bg it's the Fallen King and there are several versions of it. The other is one of the evolving items called Diapered Egg. It also has hearts that would be good for an Sailor Moon or Chibi Moon attack. The Melodious Pelagic Primadonna has a pretty bubbles bg it has several recolors that might have a better color I thought these look pretty close to Mercury's color for her Bubble Spray. The original has more normal looking ones.
I can't remember what it's called but it's like a city in ruin definitely would be a good one for Saturn or the Overgrown Ruins are a good one or the Lonely Land too if you just wanted to do her in ruins in general for her element.

I think i used the diaper one for mars.
Love tge tip of the primadonna. Can't afford the correct color, bur i think it will be ok with the right background. Still waiting on two items for mercury. But neither has any listing, so it looks lik I'm playing the waiting game, but I'll be much happier with the results if i do.

I want more evil eyes for Black Lady, and I wish the Dark Moon Mark was better visible.
I think I'm mostly done with Small Lady, although I'd love a moon mark to finish it off.

Your progress looks awesome for both of them. Your Black Lady looks awesome. For the Black Lady try the item Moon Child. I tested it with this hairstyle and it works great with it. As for Small Lady's dress it's the Runcible Spoon. I saw that the Runcible Spoon Renewal was white, but I was excited to see the original was pink! I almost went with the Crystal Century top, but I liked the white with gold better. (pink and gold would have been cute.)

You're welcome! Ah I see. That's understandable. I would have suggested one of the Sleepless Serenity but it's not upside down unfortunately and kind of bulky looking. I'm kind of surprised they haven't made an upside down version of the Path of Luna for the Black Moon Clan or something similar.
Nice that is indeed exciting to find that out. It would have been indeed and you decided to go with the Silver Crystal instead of her Pink Moon Crystal she got at more or less the end of the SuperS manga. It definitely makes sense to where she would still be learning how to use it at that point before getting her own.

Me too. And yup. Its for the boots. Its an extra level of difficulty since i only use the male base, so i have to use boots that have a leg mod attached. If you know anyone that is selling one, let me know.

Something else that helps with the basic looking sailor suit is Angelic Lace it gives you that nice point in the front for the skirt. I think it works over the tops of those Serafuku Top's.
Here is another guide that might help with your Jupiter look. It has a basic look at the moment and you can't comment on it anymore but it still works great for ideas. ^_^

Ok. this is what I came up with for Sailor Mercury.
there is a darker blue background, but i thought this one was better.
love to hear what i should change (if i'm able) before I save it to my collection.

If I may add a couple of suggestions for various effects, a nice background and bubble effect combination that I sometimes use is
Astra: Afternoon City of Romance

+
Astra: Shoujo Glow
This one alone makes a very soft colored background, but when paired with something like the city of romance astras, all you get is the bubbles in the foreground which adds a different kind of feeling to the scene created. Even though Astras don't move anymore, the still poses still work very well (which is mainly what I used in the first place.)


Some other suggestions that work nicely with sailor moon cosplays are:

"Astra V-day 2k14 candy coated" for a nice pink transparent heart in the background which is awesome for both sailor moon or chibi moon.


A cute pink sky in the background for Chibimoon would be "Astra Rosy Cruising Cumulus".


If you want small hearts that float near their head at eye level, "lovely flirt" is great, I use it in my Venus!

A varient to this would be hearts floating up above/out of the head with "Astra: V-Day 2k14 Lovestruck"

Mine is the cosplay item guide, but I wanna post the items in my cosplay item guild (banner on the right in my sig). There's not enough room in the guide thread, and I havent watch sailor moon since i was little, so i don't know alot about the more recent stuff. I thought it would be cool if i could show the poses of the items. you can use any bbcode i post too.
