not sure if this is the right place to ask a question but i'll just shoot my shot



are these icons always correct? i feel like sometimes i am 100% sure i have something equipped on an avi/outfit but then it doesn't show this red t-shirt icon. i almost sold a hat i really do not want to sell because it didn't display the red t-shirt, implying i do not have it equipped on any avi (it is equipped on three avis)

Might sound like a dumb question, but can you use Gaia upgrade with mobile browser? Again sorry if it’s a dumb question. This seems like such a handy tool!

GaiaUpgrade does not have mobile support right now.

Suggestion from a friend:
Could you add an option to make it so all forum posts are aligned to the same side?

i.e. Instead of each post alternating from left to right, just stick to a single format where all the avatars, usernames, etc. are on the left, and the post content is on the right

also i have noticed a bug with GU, if i try to view opposite gender in avi builder it does not change when i tick the box. if I choose "male" where it shows bases, it will give me an invisible body (with eyes, hair, and underwear.)
i noticed this a couple of months ago

That is an issue with Gaia, not GaiaUpgrade. We have no control over the image

in an ATS weeks ago, i asked lanzer if he would implement a feature that allows users to import outfits theyve already made into the avatar builder- thus avoiding having to save the avatar in dress up to work on it, or rebuilding it completely in the builder.

he said its a great idea and they could have it out soon. however, that was a long time ago and idk if it's still in the works or scrapped.
so, i was wondering, maybe this is something you would be interested in making in GU?

This is something I will have to look into to check how feasible it is from the browser.

since better gaia stopped being updated after my return gonna make a lil wishlist of GU tools so I can stop using both the BG and GU extensions and only use one.

1. quick links drop down, I use this literally all the time.
for BG its where the username is top right.



2. "modern" forum layout from BG.
its just more visually pleasing to me, idk what the OG even looks like anymore.
I also dk why the quote button is always out of place, webdev be wild.

--tho if this was implemented please fix the gaia flairs going wild lmao--



3. idk if this is already an option for GU but I couldn't see it.
option to change the bkg for gaia like in the screenshot above.
I've changed by to a repeating dark grey square so its easier on the eyes.

3a. also changing the forum bar / navigator colour.
because who doesn't love customization.

Heya! So GU already has a few of these features smile

When you go into the GU settings, on the General tab you can check the "Enable footer quick links" to add a quick links option. Not in the same location, but similar functionality.

For the header/background customization, Gaia Upgrade taps into the Gaia Lab's feature to make this work. You'll want to make sure that you have "Color Switcher" activated on the Gaia Labs page. Once that is enabled, you'll want to make sure that the 'Fully customize header" option is checked under the General tab in GU's settings. This will allow you to change the color of the navbar and change your header/background image.

As for the redesign, Yoshi and I have talked a bit about redesigning certain things but we've held off because Lanzer had mentioned a site redesign a few times in the past Ask the Staff's. But we can probably talk some more about it smile

Apparently there's a workaround for font size on Gaia's forums, posting it here so it can be fixed so that GU can hopefully account for it for the fixed text size function.

For the last few months ive not been able to post threads, I uninstalled the extension and suddenly I can post threads again, ive tested this a couple of times with changes to make sure I wasn't being dumb with settings but its still the same outcome

The error is along the lines of you cant post an empty thread.

Hi! Do you possibly have the new text editor enabled? GU is incompatible with it and will eat your posts if it's enabled. I would recommend checking your settings to see if the "New Text Editor" setting is checked, and if it is, uncheck it. smile
