Why do the new emotes only work on Threads and not Guilds?

I don't know or remember if it was a tektek toolbar, I think it is but I'll ask anyway, see there was this one toolbar I can't recall when I updated Firefox, and it allows me to save threads to it and guilds and such.

I managed to solve the problem with the missing tekFormat button graphics by reinstalling the toolbar, but now I have another problem. Well, problem, more like an annoying inconvenience. The area you select with your mouse cursor has the same color as the text. Click the link to get an example of what I mean:

I just found out that it's somehow related to Firefox 3 since a buddy of mine who still uses Firefox 2.0.0.16, doesn't have that problem and he also got the latest toolbar, just like me.

@Absol: If you have Firefox 3, then I believe it's related to that, because I also use Firefox 3. My friend still has Firefox 2.0.0.16 and his Tektek Gaia Toolbar is working fine.

@Fallen Angel: Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and search for Firefox in the list of installed software. Sekect it and click on remove and it should start the uninstaller of that application

I can't seem to duplicate your problem. With any Windows theme/OS that I try, all of the menu items are visible and have different color backgrounds. Can you give me a full-screen image so I can see what the rest of the desktop/menu/windows look like? Any other information that you could give me would be great also.

Well, that's odd =/ I use Firefox 3 and I use the default Firefox theme. I updated straight from version 2.0.0.16 to 3.0.1 and after that some of the button's graphics disappeared, which I solved by reinstalling the toolbar right over the current one by using the alternate link. That's when it started happening.

Wow...I just wanted to try the new emotes ^_^ I just downloaded the tool bar a few minutes ago....but no, they don't work in guilds. Just normal threads...I mean they don't pop up in the line up of emotes.


EDIT: But if you type out the emote, they will work. Ex. angel with the : on either side will post the emote in a guild. You just have to remember how to type each one out.

How can u get the emotes?---o...nvm..they are right in front of my face--but can u get them in pms too? i just started using the toolbar and it helps but its kinda confuzzling.... i need a computer nerd.....

Eh...Gaia's recent changes to the My Gaia section of the site broke the toolbar in a minor but annoyingly inconvenient way. When I go to post a new entry in my journal, the blue buttons for tekFormats don't show up anymore. They still show up for posting, commenting, and private messaging forms, so you might want to fix the tekFormats so they show up no matter what form I'm posting in (commenting, posting, etc.).

I still love your toolbar though, Tekton. It's awesome and I can't live without it. But here's a (possibly rude) question: why does the Gaia Online Toolbar only have three tekFormats and not an unlimited amount, unlike your rival, GaiArch? (Sorry, I couldn't help wondering...)

And since I want more tekFormats, here's the form:

Request Type: Addition

Item Title: tekFormats (more room for formats instead of just three)
Item Link: N/A
Item Description: Allows toolbar users to format their posts with font colors and sizes, images, quotes, and other such posting format elements.
Reason for item need: Three may seem like a lot to those who don't use tekFormats, but for some users who use the tektek toolbar and do not want to use GaiArch or Gaiabar, it may be too little. The tektek Gaia Online Toolbar also supports Unicode, whereas GaiArch does not.

Um, I'm sorry if it's too much work to add more tekFormats, honest...but I'm just worried about having the buttons show up when I'm posting a new entry in my journal, that's all.
