This is so cute. And I will admit that I have spent around $600 on GC since I joined back in 2008. I wish that the prices would go back to normal. Where having a million gold made you feel rich. Now having a million gold is like owning a penny.

I very much enjoyed this comic, it explains things very well.
But I just want to add in that at this point I do not believe that Gaia will ever remove the gold generators, and instead will only keep releasing more that each give out higher amounts than the last (like they have already been doing). Although the 5% tax helps a lot, as long as gold generators with higher and higher payouts are released, nothing will change and the inflation will only get worse. Gaia may try to slowly raise the tax even more to make it seem like they are trying to 'combat inflation' while still remaining just as greedy, but do we really want to reach a point where there is a 30% in the marketplace? Hell no.

this is so true. I've been on gaia for years, and my price goals for rare items (not including things like angelic halo) were at MOST 100,000g. Now, I have to save BILLIONS to get a SINGLE item. And this was a sudden change for me too, cause I went off gaia for a couple months, then I logged back in, and I was like "What the-? gonk What the heck?! scream "
I hope things go back to how things were.
(Oh man, I just realized, I sound like a granny. "Back in my day..." lol )
