I installed BG a while back and really liked it, but the deal breaker for me was that it wouldn't autoformat my comments, and in my comments page, it reverted back to how Gaia originally looks instead of the BG look. I was wondering if these have been fixed, because I'd like to install it again

@Panty/Epiphany: That's why I installed TekTek's toolbar along with BetterGaia. I use TekTek for my formatting, hide it's toolbar, and use BG for everything else.

I'm not sure if this has been said or not, but on FF 5.0 Windows version the subscribed thread main area doesn't center. The (somewhat) odd thing is that it works properly on Linux.

Also, can I request that the subscribed threads dropdown show something like Gaiarch, with the last person posted and the time, possibly a link to the reply page?

I believe this is a known bug.
Hopefully it will be fixed with the next update.
TekTek toolbar should help until it's fixed.

I think there's an update in the works
to fix the centering problem already.

Thanks for letting me know. I have it fixed with Stylish for now, but I don't do FF plugins so I thought I'd request something similar to the layout of Gaiarch for subscribed threads.

Is there any particular way I should request that, aside from in this thread?

So let me get this straight, you want the GaiArch style for sub. threads, with the "first page | last page | reply | & bump" links next to it, but integrated into BG on the sub. threads page?

No, more just like the information about who posted last and when, and possibly a respond button. The way it is now doesn't seem very useful since it just lists your subscribed threads and takes you to the first page. If it's not possible maybe it should just be a link to the subscribed threads page?

I just know that was one of the biggest selling points of Gaiarch for me and I'm probably not the only one.

Well yes, you're right, you're not the only one. I like that too. And since GaiArch can do it, so can BG. Now putting it on the subscribed threads page seems a little out of the way. But if it's applied to the subscribed threads widget at the top of the page, seems a little more convenient because you can access it anywhere on Gaia. Speaking of GaiArch, I've been talking to WindPowa, hopefully he's gonna push out some nice updates. But he's lazy. lol So I gotta keep at him about it. xd
I might try making a few things for GaiArch as well, see how well that turns out. xd

Heheh. I had a feeling it would be possible, but I'm a webdev, not a FF one. ;]

What I originally intended was for it to replace the widget that's there, not just be on the subscribed page (that wouldn't make much sense) - though if we could add a reply button there too, it would be really nice. I both play word games and have threads that don't require me to look at what's been said before responding, nevermind that I also like reading some responses from the actual post page.

He's been working on Gaiarch for a long time. It's not easy at all to keep interested in a project like that for so long, so if he's still working on it at all it's really commendable.

I haven't used Gaiarch in over probably a year and half, mainly because I'm a minimalist and can't stand having an entire gaudy bar devoted to Gaia sitting below my navi one. Which is the only visible one. :]
