What version of Firefox are you using? Do you have any other Add-ons that might be preventing BG from working. Its best to post as much information as possible for use to help solve this issue for you.

I don't think that's an option, though I also wish we could do that.
Mostly I just wanted to answer your question because I saw your user name and had to comment on it.
I'm an Ellis fan myself, though I also like Bill.
I always try to shoot Zoey to death whenever I play.

There is no "official" way to turn it off, but you can add block the chat box. That's what I did.
Add these two url's to your ad block plus filter:

When that is done it should look like this [ X ]

If you don't have ad block plus go and download it from Firefox Add-On Page

Allvanishing has gotten other requests like this, and he says that, because of the difference in browser coding, that he may be able to develop a smaller add-on for Chrome that would only cover the visual portion of BetterGaia and not its helpful functions.

I really liked using BG, but Firefox is slower and much bulkier than Chrome..

ALLVANISHING...
Logged onto Gaia this evening to find that half my posting styles were gone.

They all showed up as "undefined".
I added most of these posting styles about two weeks ago.
I've had no problems until today.
I used one of the ones that got erased as recently as yesterday.
(Here is what my Post a Reply page normally looks like... [screencap])

There's nothing that says there is a limit to the number of posting styles one can create,
so I wasn't sure if maybe there was some kind of glitch or not.
