A Standard// Rapid // Adventure// Evolving Item List

This is a guide for those items that (used to) evolve every Friday, known as Evolving Items or Rapid Evolving Items (the latter being the most frequent as of lately). This thread is being made with the blessing of Ridley Starsmore who is the creator of this lovely guide here. If you're looking for more in-depth information related to Evolving Items, please see that guide. It's not fully up-to-date as she has other priorities, but it's a good place to start.

Important note: I personally attended the GaiaOnline panel at Otakon, August 12, 2017. I took the opportunity to ask Lanzer about the fate of evolving items since they have been few and far between since the release of Hero's Journey at the beginning of last year. As much as I hate to say it, Lanzer did tell us that evolving items are "highly unlikely to return" because of the amount of time spent on the item itself. However he did say that they would finish Hero's Journey, he just did not say when.

If you wish to recolor one of the existing evolving items, you can use one of the following tickets:
Prism Ticket or Double Prism Ticket.
These two tickets can be used to recolor any six poses of any evolving item, including the older ones.


Before the rules change, you could use a Project Sapphire ticket to create your own rapid evolving item of 15 poses as you will see a few in this guide. However that is no longer the case. Nowadays you can use to recolor a full rapid evolving item. It can not be used on any of the other evolving items.

As far as this thread goes, it will have a full list of evolving items, from the first one created to the most recent that just came out. The recolors (including partial recolors) of the evolving items, will be in the same post as the original item.

If you're looking for a specific EI, ctrl + F is your friend! Otherwise, look under the spoiler tags of each year and I have all the EIs listed that came out in those years.

Standard Evolving Items were the first evolving items that debuted in 2007 with Fausto's Bottle. They generally have more poses but take a longer time to evolve.

Rapid Evolving Items were introduced in 2011. They take about a month to finish evolving, they usually evolve once every week, and have a smaller set of poses.

Adventure Evolving Items are the newest type of Evolving Item and debuted January 2016. These evolving items are basically a Choose - Your - Own - Adventure. You vote in a poll as seen in Dr. Singh's evolving item reports. These are described as permanent choices with no going back.
