About Achievements

What are Achievements?

Achievements are exactly what they sound like, things you achieve in your daily use of the site. There are achievements for nearly everything you do every day on Gaia. Most of them you can earn without even trying, but a few take a little more work. This thread includes details on how to earn each achievement.

What are Achievement Points?

Achievement points are points you earn for completing achievements. Different achievements are worth different amounts of points. Right now the total amount of achievement points you can earn by completing all achievements is ???. Currently achievement points have no value other than show, this could change in the future though, who knows? wink

Some Guidelines to Keep in Mind

I know you're in a hurry to go out and earn all your Achievements, but please keep these things in mind:


• Spam belongs in the Chatterbox only (the Chatterbox is also the only forum in which it is possible to get the Invisibility Achievement).
  
• Someone posting in your thread while you are trying to earn Invisibility is not trolling/abuse.
  
• You are welcome to post in Welcome to Gaia for the Noob Wrangler, but please remember to be considerate to our new users!
  
• You are welcome to hold contest to get the posts/quotes you need, but remember if you're offering prizes you must award them, not doing so is scamming.
  
• For Achievements that require 15 users doing the same thing it must be 15 different users and they must all be doing it until all 15 post.
  
• For some reason the cig does not work with the Risky Lifestyle achievement, try the Cigar. Similarly, not all gun items work Brandisher, you best bet is something with "gun" in the name.

How to Use this Thread

This thread is a comprehensive list of all the Achievements currently available & how to earn them. Achievements are listed in alphabetical order and have a ranking denoting how difficult I feel they are to earn. To locate a specific Achievement use Ctrl+F.

This is not the place to report if your Achievement did not grant when you completed the task. You can report this via a ticket in our Help Center, located here: www.gaiaonline.com/help

Autobiographer, Easy -- Have an About Me on your profile. 200 Points


Befriended, Easy -- Add a new friend. 100 Points


Bidding War, Difficult -- Given to any member who bids on the same Marketplace listing 10 times or more. 100 Points


Brandisher, Easy -- Awarded to anyone who strikes fear into our hearts by equipping a gun. 100 Points


Cart Raider, Easy -- Collect Daily Chance 2 days in a row. 100 Points


Citizen, Easy -- Complete: Gaian, Dressed Up, Treasure Hunter, Forum Explorer, Window Shopper, Statustician, Person of Interest, Autobiographer, and Peoplewatcher Achievements. 200 Points


Clambake, Difficult -- Awarded to any female member who posts a forum thread page populated entirely by female avatars (first 15 posts). 200 Points


Consumer, Easy -- Buy something from a shop. 100 Points


Contributor, Easy -- Make a forum post. 150 Points


Conventioneer, Difficult -- Awarded to anyone who attends at least one IRL Gaia event and redeems their convention items. 300 Points


Conversationalist, Medium -- Awarded to anyone who makes 1,000 posts on the Gaia forums. 100 Points


Dressed Up, Easy -- Save your avatar. 200 Points


Elocutionist, Difficult -- Awarded to anyone who's made 10,000 posts on the Gaia forums. 200 Points


Entrepreneur, Easy -- Awarded to those whose total Marketplace sales exceed 10,000 Gold. 150 Points


First Step to Fame, Easy -- Get quoted (or quote yourself). 200 Points


Flatterer, Easy -- Post "cool avi" on someone's profile. 200 Points


Forum Dabbler, Easy -- Make 10 posts in the forums. 200 Points


Forum Explorer, Easy -- Visit 4 different forums. 100 Points


Forum Junior, Difficult -- Earn Invisibility & Popular Thread Achievements. 100 Points


Forum Sophomore, Medium -- Earn First Step to Fame and Forum Dabbler Achievements. 300 Points


Friendly, Easy -- Send a friend request. 100 Points


Full Closet, Easy -- Save an outfit 4 times. 200 Points


Gaian, Easy -- Register & confirm your email address. 50 Points


Generous, Easy -- Awarded to anyone who gives a gift. 100 Points


Happy Birthday, Easy -- Awarded to anyone who visits Gaia on their birthday. 100 Points


Hive Mind, Difficult -- Awarded to anyone who posts on a forum page where every poster is wearing the same outfit (first 15 posts). 200 Points


Hygienic, Easy -- Changed your avatar 2 days in a row. 200 Points


Informer, Easy -- Update your status 2 days in a row. 100 Points


Invisibility, Difficult -- Post a thread that is not posted in for 24 hours. (Difficult becuase people deliberately try to prevent you for earning this achievement.) 100 Points


Junior Trader, Easy -- Awarded for listing an item for sale on the Marketplace. 100 Points


Mark Twain, Difficult -- Be quoted 100 times (quoting yourself counts). 100 Points


Market Browser, Easy -- Do a search in the Marketplace. 100 Points


Megathread, Difficult -- Have over 500 replies to a single thread. 100 Points


Member, Easy -- Complete the reregistration process. 100 Points


Money Never Sleeps, Medium -- Awarded for gaining the Profitable and Entrepreneur Achievements. 200 Points

Noob Wrangler, Medium -- Quote 10 newbies (people who have been on Gaia less than 2 weeks). 100 Points


Nudist Colony, Difficult -- Awarded to anyone who posts on a forum page where every poster is stripped bare (first 15 posts).


Overstocked, Difficult -- Awarded to any Gaian who sells the same item 20 times in a row on the Marketplace.


People Watcher, Easy -- Visit someone's profile. 100 Points


The Perfect Setup, Easy -- Awarded to anyone whose post is quoted with the words "That's what she said."


Person of Interest, Easy -- Add some interests on your profile. 200 Points


Popular Thread, Medium -- Post a topic and get 50 replies (your own posts count!). 100 Points


Prayer Circle, Difficult -- Awarded to anyone who posts on a forum page where every poster is kneeling and facing backwards (first 15 posts).


Profitable, Medium -- Awarded to anyone who makes a profit on a Marketplace transaction. Buy low, sell high!


Risky Lifestyle, Easy -- Awarded to anyone who dooms their tender lungs by equipping a tobacco item.


Sausage Fest, Difficult -- Awarded to any male member who posts a forum thread page populated entirely by male avatars (first 15 posts).


Sex Change, Easy -- Change your sex.


Signature Look, Easy -- Save an outfit. 250 Points


Somebody Likes You, Easy -- Awarded to anyone who receives a gift.


Statustician, Easy -- Update your status. 100 Points


Team Edward, Easy -- Awarded to anyone who shows their vampire devotion by equipping a bloodsucker-related item.


Team Jakob, Easy -- Awarded to anyone who equips a werewolf-related item, thus showing their devotion to our favorite cinematic underdog. Get it? UnderDOG?


Tooth Fairy, Medium -- Gift buckteeth to someone wearing wings


Trader, Easy -- Given to any Gaian who sells something on the Marketplace.


Treasure Hunter, Easy -- Collect Daily Chance on every landing page on a single day. 100 Points


Tycoon, Difficult -- Given to anyone whose total marketplace sales exceed 1,000,000 Gold.


Voter, Easy -- Vote in a Poll. 100 Points


Wall Street, Easy -- Awarded for gaining the Junior Trader and Trader achievements.


Window Shopper, Easy -- Visit 4 shops. 100 Points

A Note About Event Achievements

Event Achievements are earned by participation is Gaia events or contests. They may be avaliable to the entire site or granted to single users for winning a contest.

Cats vs Dogs

Cats vs Dogs, Easy -- Awarded to those who vote in the Cats vs Dogs poll. 100 Points

Best, Worst, Craziest Hair Contest

Best Hair Award, Impossible -- Awarded to the Gaian with the most luxurious mane of delicious, beautiful hair. Belongs to Giraffe Town winner of the Best, Worst, Craziest Hair Contest. 1000 Points

Craziest Hair Award, Impossible -- Awarded to the Gaian with the most absurd explosion of follicles spilling madness onto their head. Belongs to Battery Acid Included winner of the Best, Worst, Craziest Hair Contest. 1000 Points

Worst Hair Award, Impossible -- Awarded to the Gaian whose deplorable and tragic mop of hair is the most supreme affront to the concept of beauty. Belongs to VoodooGoober winner of the Best, Worst, Craziest Hair Contest. 1000 Points

Valentines Day 2011 Event

Valentines Day 2011 Event, Easy -- Awarded to Gaians who successfully send a Valentine letter to another user in the Valentines Day 2011 event! 100 Points

Easter 2011 Event

Bunny Spotter, Easy -- Awarded to players of our 2011 Easter event who caught one bunny. 50 Points

Bunny Hunter, Medium -- Awarded to players of our 2011 Easter event who caught 20 bunnies. 100 Points

Bunny Hoarder, Difficult -- Awarded to players of our 2011 Easter event who caught every possible bunny. 150 Points

Pie Hard (Summer 2011 Event)

Pie Pusher, Easy -- Awarded to players of the 2011 Summer event who fed pie to 10 different NPCs. 50 Points

Pie Trafficker, Easy -- Awarded to players of the 2011 Summer event who fed pie to 20 different NPCs. 100 Points

Pie Scarface, Medium -- Awarded to players of the 2011 Summer event who fed pie to 30 different NPCs. 150 Points

Pie Pusher, Medium -- Awarded to players of the 2011 Summer event who fed pie to every NPC participating in the event; had to be done by the end of round one as NPCs began to be eliminated. 300 Points

Pie Feeder, Easy -- Awarded to players of the 2011 Summer event who fed 10 pies to the same NPC. 50 Points

Pie Enabler, Easy -- Awarded to players of the 2011 Summer event who fed 20 pies to the same NPC. 100 Points

Pie Hoarder by Proxy, Medium -- Awarded to players of the 2011 Summer event who fed 20 pies to the same NPC. 150 Points

Way Too Many Pies, Difficult -- Given to those rare souls with the insane pie stamina to give away 1,000 pies. 300 Points

Pieversity, Difficult -- Awarded to Gaians who give out at least one of every single type of pie. 200 Points

Cheerleader, Medium -- Awarded to Pie Hard players who cheer a contestant 500 times. 200 Points

Heckler, Easy -- Awarded to Pie Hard players who heckle a contestant. 50 Points

Piepitcher, Easy -- Awarded to Pie Hard players who throw 200 pies. 100 Points

Piecatcher, Medium -- Awarded to Pie Hard players who get hit with 200 pies. 100 Points

Moonrise (Halloween 2011 Event)

Hunter, Medium -- Awarded to Moonrise combatants who successfully kill 25 enemies. 50 Points

Healer, Easy -- Awarded to Moonrise players who heal 50 teammates. 50 Points

Survivor, Medium -- Awarded to Moonrise combatants who manage to stay on the same team for 24 hours. 150 Points

Disabled Achievements

A Note About Disabled Achievements

Disabled Achievements are just that, disabled. You cannot earn them. Anyone who managed to get them before they where taken down had them removed and no points granted for them. These achievements where removed becuase users where spamming the absolute crap out of these forums in order to earn them.

A Note About Beta Achievements

Beta Achievements are a throwback from when Achievements where a lab feature. If you earned them then they will still show up on your achievement page, but they are worth no points. Most of them have counterparts in the current achievement system. I have listed them here for reference purposes only.

P.S. You forgot to put the "n" in earn. ( Right now the total amount of achievement points you can ear by completing all achievements is 4,350.)
