I haven't played Lake Kindred for a long time, and I'm not sure anymore about one thing: did we catch the kins simply by winning fights, randomly?

Man I would have entered and tried something at least. I wish they would advertise that things will be getting achievements instead of just surprise achievements after the fact.

From what I remember, that's how you get the kins when playing LK. You fight a kin of that breed, and hope they drop an egg for one of the same breed. But I hear the drop rate of eggs isn't that great with the event.

True that. I've killed a bunch of the new kins already, and still no egg. I hope that, for the achievements, all the kins captured in the Miasmal Lake count and not just the new ones...

I think it only counts the new ones since it says Miasmal Lake kin for the achievement. The other kin in there are all old kins that have been in LK forever.

Heads Up: Apparently the achievements won't grant/register if you play on LK Lite.

If you're having issues accessing LK through the Gaia App, going through a regular mobile browser and playing it there will still net you the achievement.

Browser didn't work for me. Also no clue whatsoever how to play LK throuth the app...

In the app, clicking on the event header link is supposed to take you to the link for LK, I believe. Either way, you should make a Bug Report thread for it. I don't think anyone else has even though it's a wide spread problem. You might want to try borrowing another phone, going through the browser, and playing a few rounds of LK to see if the achievement becomes claimable.

... Dagnabit. I played like 300-400 battles on lite yesterday to gather info. emotion_facepalm No wonder I wasn't getting anywhere. Thanks for the heads up!

@ all: Oh, and if it helps anyone: there is not currently a way to play LK in the app. Not on Android, at least. I mean, there's a link (that you really have to hunt for) but it gets you an error message that the feature isn't supported. The mobile achievement grants just by using the regular browser on your phone. That's how I got mine. (edit: It might not work for everyone... but worth a try.)

Thanks but I'm not even seeing an event header. But I did see a topic where it said the app on android doesn't have the update yet or something. That's probably the problem rolleyes (even though that post is a week old?)
I'll wait for a bit longer seeing as the event just started and then there are always problems. I'll check if it's still a problem during the weekend.

That's probably wise. I know I'm personally holding off on doing heavy grinding just because I know the egg drop rates are ridiculously low.

That workaround doesn't work for me. I tried on 2 different Android phones, one using Firefox, the other Chrome. Nothing. Then when I try to get out of lite on the phones and delete the lite part at the end of the URL, it still throws me right back into lite. I think I'm going to have to wait until LK can be played on the app for Android.

That sucks-- I'm sorry it didn't work for you! I haven't seen any other workarounds but I'll let you know if I find one. Seems like they shouldn't have even had this achievement if the app doesn't even allow for it...
